Beautiful house. Nothing too fancy, but everything you need! Stayed for three days in June and it rained much of the time, so we didn't get to enjoy the canoe on the lake or BBQ on the deck, but we still had a great time. Found plenty to do with 30-minute drive. Visited Milford and toured Grey Towers, toured Sterling Hill Mine in Ogdensburg, stopped at Lake Mohawk and went to Krogh's Brew Pub. When the sun was out, we hiked Tillman's Ravine and Dingmans Falls. Mike and Judy were terrific to deal with. Be sure to ask Mike about the path to the vista up Sunrise Mountain Road. Very easy, very short hike with a wonderful view. Would love to stay again if I get the chance.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

My husband and I spent a week at the lake house in total bliss. It was a complete escape into peace/tranquility. We swam, fished, canoed, hiked -- even simply watching the morning fog off the lake is something spectacular. We highly recommend staying here - it is very clean, pleasant, and the owners are wonderful guides to the area along with being very accommodating. We hiked to Dingman's Waterfall closeby - very easy and beautiful. Can't wait to return and explore more!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We stayed for a weekend and had a wonderful time. The house was great and had recently been renovated and it showed. Lot of space to sit out on the deck and look out over the nice lake and talk and play games. Best of all there was a canoe that we could take out on the lake an paddle to a park and a BAR! We were able to just pull the canoe up to the bar's dock and have a drink and play darts. We had 5 staying there but you could comfortably have a couple more. Place was quiet but the few neighbors we saw on the lake were nice. Small town feel but there are places to buy food or go out for lunch. Our 9 pound dog had fun exploring the yard. We would go again and recommend.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We were so grateful to Mike and Judy for sharing their little piece of paradise with us for a last minute get away for our 18th wedding anniversary weekend. Although I loved their pictures they do it no justice to the beauty you see in person. The attention to detail in the decor as well as all of the comforts of home that they provided were fantastic. Even with a short notice Mike accommodated us. He told me the house wasn't ready and drove up to power wash the deck and set out the out door furniture-just wonderful! Judy provided us with several recommendations for restaurants, stores and even a winery. We took all her suggestions and everything was to our liking. We really enjoyed the Walpac Inn and the Cava winery. We would highly recommend this perfect home on the lake.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

This house is one of the most relaxing places on earth. It has a little bit for everyone. Spectacular views from the muti-level deck where you can have a nice bbq or just relax in the hammock with a book. Off of the deck is a great yard leading right to the lake with a canoe. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and are perfectly decorated. There is an amazing fireplace and dining area with walls of windows looking out over the lake. Easy to get to and close to some great hiking trails. You will not be disapointed.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

I've stayed at this lake house a few times now and every time we walk through the door all the worries of city life melt away. The view is majestic and has the ability of bringing you to a state of calm. You don't have to go out of you way to experience the view, all you have to do is step inside, or out, or sit down in the breakfast nook and have a meal. Step out onto the deck and have some coffee as you watch the morning mist rise off of the lake. We love coming here. We've slept in almost all three of the bedrooms and it's always a great nights sleep. My son slept in the child's bedroom and was very comfortable as well. The house itself is very nicely decorated, very clean, comfortable and very well maintained. It has all the comforts of home and none of the stress. It's only about an hour away from the city, but it feels like you've gone worlds away. The neighbors when you see them are friendly and always wave or say hello. There are all sorts of farmers markets in the area, as well as a nice family diner nearby. I highly recommend this house to anyone who wants a taste of serenity. It's a great get away and the owners are great! Enjoy your stay!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

My husband and my three children have vacation on the lake for the past two summers. The view is spectacular, the fish plentiful, and accommodation delightful. It is the perfect spot for a good old fashion vacation with your family or friends. Plenty to do or not to do. We enjoyed staying at the house, fishing, swimming, canoeing on the lake and also visiting nearby towns and the Delaware water gap. I highly recommend it and we always look forward to our lake house vacation.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

That's the best word for this retreat- lovely. Embrace. Take in the view and breathe. I was looking for a simple retreat with family. We cooked out, enjoyed the wharf and lake. Accommodations are comfortable and the large kitchen and family area made it perfect for catching up without the distractions of computers and phone. Nothing too fancy, but the property is well-maintained, very clean and ready for a family gathering away from it all. We took a short drive into Lafayette, NJ for antique shopping and lunch. Had a really enjoyable weekend. I can highly recommend checking it out.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I have spent several long weekends at this Lovely Cottage nestled in the woods. House is located on lakefront property with a new dock and also has a very large deck on the first and second floor. You can spend hours outside - swimming in the lake, boating, fishing or just relax taking in the picture perfect surroundings including the mountains and the beautiful sun sets. I would recommend this vacation spot to anyone. It is also family friendly with beach area located on site. Barbeque is provided but there is also a very nice restaurant at the bottom of the hill, I highly recommend Kevin’s for lunch or dinner. The owners of the property are very accommodating.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

This was the perfect spot for me and my husband to vacation with a few of our family members and friends. The house is spotless and super cozy. The views from both decks - that's right, there are two very large decks - are second to none. You are truly at the lake on this vacation. And, the community is so charming. There are things to do in town, including antique shopping and purchasing fresh produce and pies at farm stands. The next biggest town is lovely for shopping and dining. We would highly recommend this for an easy vacation. We never felt so relaxed!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.
