  Two months after spending a few days here, I look at the pictures on my phone and think that I need to go back immediately. Been visiting the Virgins for over 20 years, boating, condos, hotels, camping. The thought being that hey - we're in the islands, everything else is of little consequence. This place changed / spoiled that rationale. It erased every artifice of tourism and BS and replaced them with the wind, sea and hills and a simplicity that offers a rare opportunity to go beyond mere relaxation. I doubt anyone leaves here the same as they arrived.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

  We had a great time staying at Good Moon Cottage. The cabin is beautiful, tasteful, and romantic. The artwork on the inside was great and the view outside was fantastic. We ate meals out on the deck, hiked to the beach (drove to the beach too), and enjoyed chatting with Aragorn, Frederica, and their boys. If you are looking for modern or sterile or big kitchen - this is not your place.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

  My wife and I just returned from a delightful week in Good Moon Cottage at Good Moon Organic Farm. There are scarcely enough adjectives to adequately describe the cottage, its location, the foliage, and its dramatic view. Nevertheless, I will try: Good Moon Cottage is a quaint, simple, yet elegant tropical hideaway nestled on the north side of Tortola, overlooking the azure blue Atlantic surrounded by bougainvillea, mango trees, and other tropical foliage with colorful blossoms. Terraces sculpted into the hill, an amazing feat of ingenuity, provide fresh greens, vegetables, tomatoes, herbs, mangoes, bananas, and other delectables. Just outside our door we picked spinach, arugula, basil, and tarragon. You might even be able to purchase a fresh catch of whole yellow fins. After you’ve prepared your breakfast, lunch, or dinner, in the little, but well-equipped kitchen, eat on the deck, catch the cool breeze and watch sailboats slice though the water below your eagle’s perch—then read a novel and take a nap. Refreshed, you can now tour the island. It was never too hot—just right. Alas, after a week I had to pry my wife’s hands from the deck’s railing and bid the farm a reluctant farewell. If you’re in the vicinity, book the little Good Moon Cottage—don’t let this gem slide by!

  Spent a wonderful week on Tortola, and Good Moon Cottage set the tone for the whole vacation. A beautiful, rustic, open-air West Indies-style cottage, perched on a mountainside with a view of the ocean. What more can one want? The cottage is clean and well-appointed; the kitchen is compact and well-stocked by someone who actually cooks. The owners were welcoming and helpful. I loved the peace and quiet, and fell asleep each night to the sounds of tree-frogs and distant surf. If you want street-noise, congestion, and bar-hopping -- stay in town. If you want a private space to yourself, check out Good Moon Cottage.

  The Good Moon Cottage has a fabulous view of the sea, and is located on a lush farm on the side of a mountain. The cottage is darling, with an airy, open format, great art decor, and totally solid construction, which made us feel safe in the storms that blew through. It is very mountainous, which makes schlepping lots of belongings to and from it cumbersome, so travel lightly (or leave what you can in the car). The owners are wonderful and helpful, and we got fantastic organic fruits and veggies from the farm. We made breakfasts and dinners in the compact, but well-appointed kitchen, and enjoyed them on the delightful porch, with the beautiful tropical vegetation and wildlife right there. We would definitely return with up to four people.
