  We have been visiting Antigua for over 10 years. This past February we had the opportunity to stay at Dieppe Bay House. The house was beautiful with plenty of room for our family of 8. Every couple had their own bedroom and bath. The pool was perfect and well maintained. Coming from Minnesota, there was nothing better than floating all afternoon under the sun in the refreshing pool. Pauline came to clean at 8:00 every morning which was never a problem. She really allowed us our privacy and kept the house in perfect shape. She also was a great resource for new activity ideas and restaurants. We cooked in, ate out (Live & Trappas both HIGHLY recommended), and had some meals prepared by Anne, a local caterer, she would drop off our dinner choice in the afternoon, we would return from our day of adventure to find a fresh meal waiting for us in the kitchen. Fish Tacos were the best…Her Vegetable Lasagna was enough for two meals! These meals were amazing and we will definitely request more next time we visit. The location could not have been better. It really is location, location, location down a long quiet dirt road. Dieppe Bay is only about 2.5 miles from town where there are lots of restaurants and shops. Grocery and liquor store maybe 1 mile away. We spent much of our time exploring the island, and while relaxing at Dieppe Bay, watched the large sail ships come and go from the harbor. Deippe Bay was located right on the ocean but did have debris float up along the shore. If you are not up to swimming at the house, a perfect beach is directly across the harbor. “Pigeon Point Beach” has gorgeous sand with lots of sun and trees for those that bathe in the shade. At one end of the beach is “Bumpkins” Restaurant, a perfect place for lunch, a cold pina colada or to use the bathroom! We cannot wait to return for another perfect winter vacation at Dieppe Bay House.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

  Dieppe Bay house is a well loved house, very large (great for large groups), full of Caribbean character, Caribbean style (as opposed to boutique style), very clean, relaxing atmosphere, with excellent staff and free Wifi. Recommend Annie's home cooked meal! Good location, however you must have a car, then everywhere on the island is within easy access. Short drive to the lovely Falmouth Harbour. House is on the water, however no direct access to swimmable beach. Easy drive to beautiful beaches. Personal favourite was Darkwood Beach (near Jolly Harbour). To be honest, the pool was more impressive in the photos than in reality. Enjoyable stay.

  Owner response: Thanks for the great review. There IS direct access to Dieppe Bay beach at the bottom of the garden which is swimmable depending on the time of year and storms. Recently there has been a large amount of seaweed washed up on the beach, however, we and our guests often swim off the beach - there is great snorkelling in the shallow water by the rocks.

  We just stayed a week at this property, The house is amazing, very private and spacious. The grounds are beautiful. The house is extremly well cared for .We would wake up in the morning to new yachts in the harbor. There is a hike not far to Rendezvous bay not to be missed! Tappas restaurant was very good.You have everything you need at the house walk the beach go for a dip in the pool,relax and enjoy! I would definitely go back.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
