My wife and I took our 2 Daughters to this wonderful lakeside retreat to celebrate one of the girl's birthdays. We had a spectacular time. The home is very clean and comfortable.lt has an easy gentle sloping paved sidewalk to the covered boat dock. The water was at least 10 feet deep even though the lake level was down during our visit. The owner provides 2 lightweight kayaks that our daughters really enjoyed using. They paddled out to the cove to watch the sunset as we followed with our pontoon boat. The boatramp is very close by also making it easy to launch our boat and was only approx 5-10 minutes by water to arrive at the covered dock. The large concrete patio is nice and dry if it happens to rain and it was relaxing to sit on the patio in the provided rocking chairs. The kids also enjoyed working together each evening on assembling a challenging puzzle that was among the many games provided by the owner for the entertainment of guests. The owner was extremely friendly and very helpful with answering any questions we had. I highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at the lake house, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view of the lake from the rocking chairs on walk-out patio was absolutely stunning. There are neighbors on both sides, but we hardly ever saw anyone. There is a paved sidewalk running from the house down to the large dock, which provides easy access down to the water. The dock provides ample space for sitting on chairs and laying out. The lake water is super clear and clean-- it truly is one of the nicest lakes I've been to and I've been to many, many Minnesota lakes. There were also lots of fish!!! If you want to fish, bring your pole!!! There were two kayaks available, so we had lots of fun exploring other coves. The cabin provides all of the furnishings you need (nice kitchen for cooking and two grills!) and is nicely decorated. The bathroom was extremely nice for a lake house (two sinks, updated furnishings-- very, very nice). Again, what a wonderful place to stay; we are looking forward to our next trip!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Can't say enough about our stay here - it was the perfect weekend getaway for our family! We enjoyed swimming and kayaking on the lake, grilling out on the patio, and the peace and quiet of being away from the city. Our 2 year old son is asking every day to "go back to the lake house and jump off the dock" - we will definitely be back again!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

Sunny mornings, great walks in the country, coffee early and breakfast on the patio; cooked on the gas grill! Watch the loons, geese, ducks, and other waterfowl, smell the fresh country air and breakfast, lunch and dinner taste better and better. Rainy days; not a problem. That covered deck takes care of all your daily problems and the inside is not too shabby either. Relax, watch a movie, read a book, listen to your favorite music while warming up in front of the fireplace. We had a great time! Pricing is affordable and we hope to come back again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.
