A-Frame on the Water at Historic Sickman's Mill
- Minimum stay:2 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Enjoy a relaxing stay at our A-Frame house located at Sickman's Mill. You will have access to the creek and campground for campfires (fire ring and firewood provided), fishing, creek swimming, kayaking, canoeing (equipment not provided) or enjoy a relaxing tube ride down the Pequea Creek from our on-site tubing business (June-Aug).
Our guests often see great blue herons, minks, hawks and the occasional bald eagle. History lovers will enjoy the view of our 4 story stone grist mill. We typically allow our guests to explore the inside of the mill to see our ongoing restoration effort.
Since we only let scouts and church groups camp, there are usually no campers, so you typically get the whole place to yourself!
During summer weekends, there are tubers during the day but they are gone by 6:00 PM leaving a quiet peaceful setting.
Take a left out of our drive way and the Frogtown Cafe is two minutes away, a country pub that is family friendly. A right out of our drive way will take you to the Conestoga Wagon restaurant where they have great food, convenience store and gas station.
We are 20 minutes drive, (through country back roads) to Rockvale Square Outlets, Sight and Sound Theater, and Dutch Wonderland. Hershey Park is about 1 hour away. Philadelphia 1.5 hours. Gettysburg 2 hours
Cable TV and wireless internet included.
The first floor contains a large rec room containing a queen sleeper sofa and futon, a separate bedroom with queen size bed and TV, large laundry room, and a full bath (shower).
The second floor contains a living room with TV VCR and DVD, kitchen, full bath (tub and shower), and bedroom containing a twin bed and a full/twin bunk bed.
The third floor consists of a private bedroom with queen size bed and TV, and a loft overlooking the living room.
Two large decks allow you to enjoy the view of the campground, historic grist mill and the Pequea creek.

The house is a short distance from shopping (approx 12miles) . The scenery is beautiful. There is a lot to do. Enjoyed all the amish shoppes as well as outlet shopping. This house was very clean and owner supplies many basic items including hand soap, toilet paper, even laundry soap! Great place for picture taking! The owner, Trina, is a gem! Very fair.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We arrived with a lit christmas tree with the presents I mailed to them from santa for us and our grandson. He really thinks that there is a santa. He believes that the elf on the shelf. That told santa we were going there. The rental was very clean and homey there hospitality was outstanding. What a beautiful setting on the creek and of course the old mill. We were very happy with the rental. Too bad I didnt find this last year in the summer when we were there. A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU TRINA Thanks DavidRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

We really enjoyed our week at the A Frame Sickman's Mill. The house had plenty of room for our family reunion. The owners were very nice and accomodating. It is a great house for a fun family time. It was in a good location too so we were able to see lots of areas of PA. I would recommend others rent the house for their next PA adventure. Thank you!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This A -Frame home was absolutely everything described and more... WE loved it and would definetly stay again. Eric and Trina are wonderful to deal with. Our daughters loved the opportunity to go tubing down the creek. Beautiful.. PEaceful Property... We found it well stocked with games and movies for the whole family.. as well as many good books and magazines. Kids especially enjoyed sitting on the upper deck and night and watching the lightning bugs .. they almost made it look like christmas decorations in the trees. The conestoga wagon restaurant was real close by and great food. as well as Carusos Pizza in Willow Street. Something fun the kids loved was visiting Pine View Dairy.. they enjoyed the Strawberry Milk in Bags.. as well as the homemade icecream. Thanks for sharing your home with us Trina & Eric.. we would love the opportunity to stay again soon.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

What a wonderful choice. It was the first time I had used VRBO and was a little nervous but it all went well. The property owners were wonderful! We found everythingn we needed and just as described. It was a quiet, relaxing area but close enough that it was an easy drive to the sight-seeing/activities we wanted to do. Looking forward to a repeat visit!Did you find this review helpful? We had a great time at Sickman's Mill and the location is beautiful. The A-frame is big and has lots of room for big families. Fishing and Camp fires at night in front of the cabin. The owners are very helpful and willing to show the Mill and tell of its history.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
