The Guest House is private, located on a hill overlooking area vineyards. The fully equipped kitchen with a gas range has granite counter tops. Enjoy a west facing patio with outdoor furniture that is very private. The sitting area has a gas fireplace. The bedroom features a queen bed with tub and shower bath.
Wine tasting in the highly acclaimed Santa Rita Hills AVA, is nearby. Award winning Pinot Noir and Chardonnay is this area's specialty. The Santa Ynez Valley has over 35 wineries. Often being referred to as the un-"Napa" without crowds and wide open country. Cycling is popular in the area as the U.S. teams have practiced on many of the nearby country roads
Five excellent golf courses are nearby: La Purisima Golf Course (805 735-8395), Rancho San Marcos (805 683-6334), River Course at the Alisal (805 688-6042), SandPiper Golf Course (805 968-1541), and Glen Annie Golf Club (805 968-6400). Even more in Santa Barbara.
Los Padres National Forest is nearby for hiking with a spectacular mountain full of poppies in the spring-time. Within a 12 mile area are the darling towns of Los Olivos, Ballard, Santa Ynez, and Solvang each is full of character with excellent restaurants, art galleries, and lovely shops. Solvang is know for its Danish architecture. Santa Barbara ia a beautiful 45 minute drive along the Pacific Ocean and has a beautiful marina, fresh fish market, farmer's market, restaurants, museums, live theater, botanical gardens, harbor boat trips, and is California's mission-style city overlooking the Channel Islands with many historical buildings.
The Santa Ynez Valley is also known for its elaborate horse farms. World class horse trainers from all disciplines have located to this wonderful valley because of its superb climate. Monty Roberts famous "join-up" program is only ten minutes away.
