  This little house is wonderful ! Meticulously clean with beautiful hardwood floors through out the home and granite countertops in both bathrooms. Nice linens and towels. The family room is incredibly large (for a small house) the fireplace was hand stocked with firewood. Lazy boy sofa turned into a Queen pull out sofa with a fabulous full sized blow up Queen mattress. The kitchen is fully stocked and if you like wine every accessory relating to wine is provided. Easy walk (uphill) to downtown Blowing Rock. Kids walked to Kilawins at night. There is a nice large flat screen TV over the fireplace. We were never able to get it to work and my husband is a TV guru. We bought an extension cord and hooked up the DVD player our last night. After dinner we rented a movie. Never were able, however, to get the television /cable stations to work. My husband contacted Robby and I feel sure he will fix it.! The deck and fire pit were fantastic. Due to rain we did not use either. Can't say enough good things about this house

  My husband & 2 young boys stayed in this house for 2 nights. We wanted to be walking distance to town, so this was a perfect location. The house was impeccably neat and comfortable. My boys loved the backyard and found a "fort" in the rhododendrons. Robby was very kind and made the whole process very easy with a simple check in and out process. He also offered lots of great suggestions for us to take in some local color. My whole family gave this a 2 thumbs up!

  This home is honestly, just perfect. Beautiful decor and immaculately clean. The beautiful furnishings, plus all the extra touches, made it feel like a "real home", not your typical rental. Great location - walk to town would be really easy. The owner, Robby, is wonderful to work with. He was very responsive, and gave me wonderful recommendations for our stay. We wanted to do some hiking and he suggested the fire tower trail at Julian Pierce and the Glen Burney trail which were great for our (moderately fit) family. He even went the extra mile and found out what the linens were washed in for me, as my 14!year old daughter was obsessed with the fresh smell and wanted me to try to duplicate at home! Thanks Robby!! can't think of any negatives at all - it is a charming home with everything you could need for a great getaway.

  My husband and I stayed for three nights, and it was absolutely perfect. What a warm and cozy home. The owner has thought of everything; there were even very nice wine glasses, which we truly appreciated. The home was perfectly clean and very well stocked. We would recommend this home very highly, and it's within walking distance of everything Blowing Rock has to offer!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

  As I had read in many of the other reviews, I completely agree that the pictures do not do this wonderful house justice!! What a treasure mountain getaway!! Absolutely pristinely clean, warm and inviting and comfortable, yet you feel quite luxurious with the well thought out touches. Very close to town (since we received a lot of snow during the weekend, we weren't brave enough to walk into town, but it would easily be a nice, enjoyable 15 minute stroll on a brisk sunny day) and only a short 10 minute drive to the slopes. Convenient to everything. Robby, the owner, was an absolute joy to work with. I have used VRBO on several occasions and this was probably the easiest booking I've ever done. A definite 10!

  This rental was exactly what we were needed for a quick weekend get away. Very clean and up to date! We love the Blowing Rock area and this home made for a great place to relax after a day of skiing and shopping.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

  There are simply no adequate words to describe just how much our family loved this home! It was so cozy and inviting both inside and out, and it's in a perfect location within walking distance to downtown Blowing Rock! I was honestly a little apprehensive about renting from VRBO because I'd never done it before but this owner could not have been any better to work with and he went the extra mile to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. He even stoped by to help my husband get the fire started in his fire pit (which the kids loved using to make smores!) The home is so tastefully decorated and the beds are super comfortable with top of the line bedding/linens! The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could need and everything was in excellent condition (including the outside grill). While there are certainly plenty of great restaurants in the area, we found ourselves just wanting to hang around the house because it was so cozy. The banquette seating in the eat in kitchen area was wonderful and the kids loved sitting in the "booth." Our family of 4 had such a fabulous mountain getaway, mainly because of this lovely home, and we hope to return soon!

  Wow! What a beautiful cottage! Recently restored with incredible attention to detail. Our family of 4 was very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were within a 5 minute drive of the Blue Ridge Parkway, fishing lakes, and Outlet Shopping. An easy walk to Main Street and great dining. The owners go over the top in accomodating their guests. Thanks for your fine hospitality. We can't wait to go back!

  The renovations made to this home are top notch! It is comfortable, clean, and very cozy on cool mountain nights. It is only a few minutes from 2 Parkway access roads as well as Flat Top Manor with over 25 miles of trails for walking. You can also walk to Main St. in Blowing Rock. It's a great location for people who don't want to spend their vacation in the car! The house itself is great for older adults with limited mobility, but getting into the house is a little difficult. You must climb stairs to the deck or the rock steps to the front porch, but both have rails in place. Once you're in, there are no issues with getting around. The walk-in shower in the master bedroom is very accomodating! Our stay was most enjoyable. The owner even stopped by the check on us and was very helpful. I felt that I could call at any time if we were to need him. We had a great experience with this rental!

  This is such a lovely home! Everything was just perfect; brand new furnishings and so crisp and clean!!! Very convenient to downtown and restaurants. The owner is great and so easy to work with. We will be returning!
