Just returned from staying at this flat with a friend for four nights. I would absolutely stay again! The owners/manager were very responsive to my questions before I arrived and during my stay. It was easy to get to, though it took most of an hour to get from Heathrow to the flat. It was extremely clean and well appointed, with modern finishes including contemporary artwork, glassed-in shower with rain-type showerhead). Digital cable and free wi-fi were provided, as well as a hairdryer and various kitchen accoutrements (coffee maker, microwave, fridge, toaster, utensils, plates, glasses...). It is about a 5-10 minute walk from the Tube station. The only potential drawback I note is that it is not handicap accessible and would be a bit difficult for people with large/heavy luggage or smaller children, given the multi-level (3-level) nature of the flat and the narrow-ish stairway between levels. The levels are: living room area on level one; bedroom (2 full-size beds), kitchen and outside deck area on level two; bedroom (king bed) and bathroom on level three. It was perfect for our needs. It is upstairs from food establishments (including a pub with live music nightly) and just down the street from a grocery. For those not used to city sounds, the traffic might be noticeable (the flat is between two busy streets), but it didn't affect my sleep at all, and I did not detect any noises from the neighboring businesses. Simply lovely.

This flat is great!. I love the design and the huge beds and large rainfall shower. It is very well equipped and my wife loved the ease of use for everything. The location is very good and really close to all parts of central London..especially our favourite walk along the river. The supermarket was very close and well equipped . People were on hand to help if we needed anything and any help, we also arrived at a very late hour and they were there to show us everything. I enjoyed being able to sit out at night with my friends on the roof terrace and share a bottle of wine. Thank you to Matthew and Helen ...we will be back and so will our friends!

Our family of 5 adults and 2 kids stayed at London suite for 4 nights. I would consider this apartment to be in a very good location as it is between 2 tube stations and there is a tesco just 5 min walk away. Alternatively, there are also a couple eateries downstairs where you can order take away. The kitchen is fully equiped and we prepared our breakfast and dinner there. The rooms, sheets and toilet were very clean and well maintained. I used the washer for my laundries as I will be travelling for a couple more weeks in Europe but there is no dryer, i hope one can be installed for the benefit of other guests in future. Some downsides for me; the apartment is located at a cross junction, if you are sleeping with windows open it can be noisy. Secondly the stairs are a little narrow, so it's a little hard to lug your luggage especially up to the 3rd floor room. Lastly there is just one bathroom, so when it comes to using the toilet and bath, it is a little frustrating if your family is big like mine. Nevertheless I still give two thumbs up for this place and highly recommend this place for the convenience of the location and the privacy that I had.

Owner response: Thank you for your kind words, we loved having you stay and glad you found the flat great for your visit to London. We normally only take 6 people maximum but made an exception for you, so the bathroom situation must have seemed a bit tight...but it is a huge bathroom and fully equipped and the rainfall shower is sublime!. The washer has a drier program on it..it is integrated...sorry for not showing you. The building was built in the early 1800's and is old so the stairs at the top can seem a little narrow with a large suitcase. We are always here to help anytime with luggage. We hope to see you back as our guests. Kindest Matthew and Helen

I never write reviews but we had such a lovely 10 day stay at this flat I thought I should. The flat is very beautiful and has everything we wanted. The WIFI and satellite TV worked well, the beds were excellent and the bathroom and kitchen were very 5 Star ! We were helped from the minute we arrived if we needed anything and the supermarket was really close. The roof terrace was a lovely escape for breakfast and in the evening. London is so interesting and staying here made it really easy to do and see everything. We will recommend and come back, but will book early as they seem to be getting very busy.

A big thank you to Matthew and Helen for your kindness and helpfulness. Thank you Matthew for explaining to my wife in Spanish how to navigate London by Metro. The flat is very well designed and elegant and the bathroom is really good, the large rain shower was heavenly. Kennington is very central in London with easy acceess everywhere. The pub and restaurants recommended were great value and very good, please visit Borough food market if you can, it is very cool.We took the Eurostar to Paris after and it was really easy to get to St Pancras with our luggage. Being a modern family the kids loved the TV and the wireless internet, and the beds were all very comfortable. We will recommend it and stay here again.

We spent three nights in the London Suite in May of this year while visiting London for a specialists' appointment for our son. The occupants were myself, my husband, and our twin toddlers. We were greeted upon our arrival by Helen and Matthew, who helped us up into the suite with our luggage. They showed us around the suite, mentioning important bits like how to use the alarm. When we noticed right away that the second crib that they had provided was going to be too small for our son, Helen offered to bring in a larger one. They let us know that Matthew ran the Sushi shop downstairs, which we were thrilled about, and that they were always easy to reach in case we needed something and then they left us to our settling in. They'd also thought of bringing in a microwave for since they knew we were feeding two small children and convenience was a must. We appreciated this. The kitchen is small, but extremely functional, with a lovely patio right off of it. We didn't get to use it, but it looked lovely and I could imagine sipping a morning coffee or evening cocktail out there. There is a small fridge, and a wine fridge as well. A small stove and oven. And various other things that you will want, such as a French Press coffee maker, but I wouldn't say that the kitchen is fully stocked should you want to undertake any real cooking. This was fine for us as there are plenty of restaurants nearby, and we even taxied into Covent Garden for dinner and it wasn't too long nor too expensive of a taxi ride. The bedrooms are lovely, with very comfortable beds. I slept SO well in this suite! The linens and pillows are excellent, top quality. The cribs provided for our kids were perfect as well, and they slept well in them. The bathroom was incredible. I could have stayed in that rain shower for days. At first I worried about the glass shower enclosure as the curtain over the bathroom window is lace and quite see through, but after the shower is turned on it steams up so much that no one could see in. The main living area has a modern sectional style sofa, a low coffee table, and a flat screen t.v. complete with many channels to choose from and a selection of DVDs on hand as well. Only downsides were that it was very warm in the suite, even in May, with no good way keep it cool (opening windows introduces a lot of street noise) and there are a LOT of stairs which is difficult with toddlers in tow. 3 full flights of stairs total from street to top floor.

Our hosts met us with a big smile and helped us get settled after a long flight. The flat is really nice and even prettier than we expected. It is very comfortable and the beds were sublime. The kids loved the English Cable TV and we all felt very pleased to be here. Travelling around London was very easy and Helen provided us with some Oyster cards (local travel card essential!) for the transport system. It even worked on the river Thames shuttle boat. I have and will recommend it thoroughly and can't wait to come back.

We had a magical stay in this apartment - it really made our stay and actually made me want to live in London. Lots of space and light and really really comfy beds. We got up in the morning had breakfast on the roof top terrace and then pottered down the road to the Tate Modern. Magical! can't wait to go back. It's good to know there is somewhere cool and super-comfortable and spacious to stay right in my favorite part of London. It felt like home after an hour! The place is really well maintained and spotless. We had dinner in a couple of nights and all the cooking utensils you could possibly need are there. The owners couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommended.

About the owner: Hi I am an Interior and Fashion designer and with my husband Matthew ( a food gourmet) we have recently renovated this wonderful old listed building. Attention to detail was of utmost importance to us. We have created a home away from home for people to visit london. It is a large apartment and we have called it the London suite. We have put in a large bathroom with an extra large shower to relax in. Our decked roof terrace is perfect for a romantic dinner The subway into the centre is only 5 minutes away and we are 20 mins door to door to Trafalgar square and Big Ben. Please visit our website londonsuite for a more detailed description

                      Why the Owner Chose Lambeth:
We chose to renovate this flat here because it is perfect for a fun and relaxed visit to central london. It is a local area and is a good way to see the real London. We are close to the river Thames and all of central London, only 15 mins walk from Big ben which is a great walk across Westminster bridge. The Flat is in a historical London building with its own private entrance and security alarm. We have many good restaurants and authentic English pubs around and we are a short walk to The Old Vic theatre the Southbank and the National Theatre which has some of the best music and theatre in the country. Borough food market 10 mins walk away, is a gastronomic treat full of Organic and gourmet foods. Bermondsey antique market has been going for 200 years and is about 15 minutes walk and is full of bargains on a friday morning
