  We stayed for a week at Christmas and had a very relaxing, quiet time. We cooked, watched all the wildlife on the river, did some sightseeing, and generally enjoyed the peacful environment. The home is very comfortable, with everything you need at your fingertips. This is not a sterile vacation rental; instead, you are staying in someone's home and you feel like a welcomed guest. The owner helped us resolve all issues very quickly via email, even though he was out of town. I would stay here again without hesitation.

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

  Called the Serendity House by the owners. It truly was. We had the best time for 7 days and nights. Even with the river very high it had no effect on our stay. We would recommend the place to anyone and we will. We went to Yosemite one day and had a great day taking the 4hr bus tour and having lunch at the Awanee. If you are there from June to weather permitting Oct; please go to the Hurst Ranch Bar-b-que and music in Jamestown. There is a small scale train ride all incuded in one price. Be sure to purchase the seasoning and olive oil on sale. We tried it the next day and it was fantastic. The "Serendity House" is truly a treasure in the "Gold Country".

  We took my 9 year old daughter and three of her friends for a birthday vacation over Memorial weekend. The property owners were very pleasant and communication was great. The property was such a wonderful, spacious (not to mention beautiful) place for all of us to enjoy. The photos don't do this place justice! I was very much at ease letting the girls wander and play in the grass area next to the river, it is set up to be very safe. The home was very clean and loaded with anything you may need. I love the location of this property, out of town/quiet, very private, but a very short drive to many activities, stores, etc.. My deposit was returned the day after we checked out. My husband is already talking of going back! Great experience for all of us :)

  Stayed for a week with friends and had a amazing time! The rafting was great and BBQ on the back deck watching the river is very relaxing. I highly recomend to all. John Otter Louisville KY

  We had the most amazing wedding at this beautiful property and relaxing honeymoon/vacation before and after! I highly recommend it! The guests all commented on the spectacular setting and gorgeous river! Thinking about it makes me want to go back soon! Sincerely, Debbie E.
