Luxury and peaceful times
Luxury and peaceful times
We love this house; it's so versatile, spacious and comfortable. Each time we visit from Europe there's a new feature to admire - like the hot tub last autumn. After our walks along the beach or through the wildlife sanctuary, a soak in the tub was bliss. There is a space for every activity, indoors and out: breakfast on the front terrace in the morning sun; dining al fresco on the side deck as the sun sets; delightful gardens which our grandchildren enjoy playing in, or racing and chasing into the adjacent fields. They are so safe in this beautiful location. I love reading in the quiet of the upper landing but my husband prefers to spend time in the basement gym - yet another ongoing improvement to this excellent house. There is always plenty to do locally - jazz festival, boat show or visiting Newport Mansions, but nothing pleases me more than gathering fresh herbs and vegetables from the kitchen garden, as well as every conceivable spice in the cupboard and cooking a special meal for all our family.

Relax in New England Wine Country
Relax in New England Wine Country
My family had the luxury of renting this property for a week last summer and it was outstanding. The house was great for both the adults and kids. We loved it so much we barely left, but when we did the local activities did not disappoint. We went wine tasting visiting the Sakonnet, Greenvale and Newport Vineyards which were all amazing and very close. There was so much to do including a Polo Match on Saturday afternoon just down the road, then we were off to the hot tub come sundown watching the sailboats with champagne in-hand. We had many excellent meals in Newport, Bristol and Providence. The property was well-maintained, clean and all dealings with the owners were quite pleasant. If you want a perfect balance of escape, relaxation and fine wine and food this is it.

We look forward to welcoming your family and others for a bit more of that 'escape, relaxation and wonderful wine and food' that we all so very much need thrown into our lives! Back to the hot tub! Cheers!
