The word 'Oeste' in Spanish means West. Live 'out West' in this updated ranch country home(approximately 1460 sf). It's hard to believe, but this ranch style house (2 bedroom with den) sits on a plateau of the Tucson Mountain Foothills and offers views of all four Tucson Mountain ranges: the Catalinas, Tucson Mountains, Rincons and the Tortolitas. It overlooks the lights of the city and rests on a 3 acre lot surrounded by natural desert vegetation. Hike or bike in the neighborhood or nearby Gates Pass. Swim and work out at the downtown YMCA with other downtown executives.
Conveniently located, this property is minutes from downtown, the University of Arizona and shopping. You can access I-10 in approximately seven-ten minutes. The large walled garden is artfully landscaped with a tree shaded patio that has a built in gas grill. The master bedroom (an addition) boasts a large bathroom with glass block shower enclosures. Step out on the patio thru the sliding glass doors into the garden. Gleaming hardwood floors and the many windows light the interior of the house. A Saguaro Rib ceiling adds charm to the living room. The immaculate eat-in kitchen is fully equipped; the laundry and a back entrance adjoin the kitchen. A large front porch with iron and Mexican tile furniture, pottery and plants guards the front entry and offers a view of the city lights at night. Enjoy the nearby wild life museums and Old Tucson Studios. Once you stay here, you will want to stay here whenever you come to Tucson.

This house was our home for 6 weeks this winter. We quickly became comfortable in these surroundings that we shared with various birds, rabbits and the occasional coyote. The location was perfect for getting around the city. Grocery stores are near by (Albertson's and Safeway) and we enjoyed a few meals at Teresa's Mosaic Cafe. We love to walk and could do so on the roads leading off Camino de Oeste. The house was very clean and quite well equipped (nice BBQ, new appliances). As we like to cook, we usually bring our own sharp knives and this was needed as only the steak knives were sharp. The master bed was quite comfortable and there was a nice supply of towels and linens. We would love to come back! We may have been spoiled by the privacy of this place....as advertised, the sunrises and sunsets were quite spectacular. The landlord was very thoughtful of our privacy and would call if he needed to come by to tend to his gardens. Or he would come by when he knew that we were out exploring. We could really appreciate the work that has gone into the propery to make it as special as it is. Marcia and Jerry CanadaOwner response: These guests were representative of the guests we love. They took such good care of the place and were a delight!

About the owner: We are so proud of our country cottage. We have utilized every spare moment to bring it up to pristine condition and use natural desert plants to landscape it. It was a slightly run down 1950's home on 3 bare acres when we started. Now it is upgraded and honors the beautiful setting of which it resides. We enjoy sitting on the east-facing generous front porch which provides shade and views of the Catalina Mtns by day and Tucson city lights at night. Sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous. Away from the hustle of work, the spacious surroundings are conducive to relaxing and observing the many varieties of plants and animals. Daily we are delighted by glimpses of quail, desert bunnies, and cactus wrens. Often, too, we watch coyotes, deer, and javalinas from our windows. Inside, the cheerful comfort of rooms tastefully furnished invite and welcome you. Guests can expect a comfortable night's rest in the thoughtfully appointed bedrooms. Those who like to cook will find everything one needs to prepare meals in the gleaming kitchen.
Why the Owner Chose Other Tucson Properties:
'It's like living in a movie set!'...'It's so quiet and peaceful, yet close in'...'The landscaping and the views from every direction are awesome.'
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Privacy is a highlight of our location, yet we are only minutes away from all the amenities that Tucson has to offer. We look forward to sharing our home with those who come to visit our beautiful Sonoran desert.
