The wraparound porch with defined sitting areas welcome you to this lovely home. Once inside, the grand foyer with sweeping staircase and the warmth of the fireplace invites you to stay. The front room has cozy seating near the fireplace with a separate reading area and a front music parlor with a Baldwin Baby piano.
The kitchen has gorgeous green granite and gleaming high-end stainless steal appliances: six (6) burner gas cook-top, oven, double sink, and sub-zero fridge. There is bar seating for four (4) and a separate round dining table, with wood-burning fireplace, that seats 6+. The back porch off the kitchen has a gas grill, table and chairs. Stairs lead down to a charming courtyard with established perennials and organic vegetable garden-in season.
Back inside there is a home office, 1/2 bath, and laundry room. Upstairs, on the second floor, there are three (3) bedrooms: the master suite with king sized bed, seating area, and full bath with luxuriously tiled shower, a guest room with a queen sized bed, and a guest room with two twin beds. This youthful guest room has a "trap door" with a rope climb access into a secret clubhouse!
On the third floor you have two more bedrooms - both with queen sized beds. These two stunning bedroom share a luxurious tiles bathroom with claw foot soaking tub and separate glass shower.
The lower level is host to a fabulous game room complete with ping pong, pool table, tv and lots of seating. There is a hot tub discretely tucked into the back yard. It is primarily used by those aged 12 and up.
This home has a birds eye view of a most charming neighborhood. It is only 2 blocks from the center of Great Barrington and just a short walk to Lake Mansfield for swimming in Summer and Ice Skating (think Norman Rockwell!) in winter.
