Your private walkway puts you on the beach in seconds. The distance from the two decks to the beach is about 100 feet. This oceanfront, clean, and comfortable 50's style house offers a magnificent ocean view from the large decks with rocking chairs, a lower deck if you prefer shade and an upper deck if you prefer sun. Sleeps 10 in beds.
Or enjoy the ocean view from the air-conditioned sun porch with comfortable seating and eating areas. There is an outside enclosed H/C shower and the private walkway to the beach has a rinse-off shower nozzle for your convenience. The decks are great for watching the Thur. night fireworks on the Boardwalk. There are 3 inside seating areas and 5 cable TVs and internet service.
The house is located in a residendial area, but you have less than a 5 minute walk to the Boardwalk and shops. You are within walking distance of a variety of restaurants, including Hardees and McDonalds, shops, and the town marina where charter and head fishing boats are available for half day or whole day fishing. Walk to the free Sun. night family movie at the Lake.

RENTS WEEKLY ONLY, SAT TO SAT, June 2 through Sept. 8 $1,550.00 per
week. The house is not available for rent in fall, winter & spring. No
pets. No smoking inside.No sororities, fraternities, church groups, house parties,
end of school yr. parties, or other such type groups are permitted.
The occupancy limit at any one time is 10 persons, not just sleeping. Only infants
who sleep in cribs are not counted in the total occupancy.
Overcrowding is grounds for immediate eviction without any refund.
A refundable damage and clean deposit of $200.00 is required.

We have rented this home several times. It is everything it is described to be and then some. The house has such a wonderful history behind it. It is kept very well maintained and the owners are so very nice and a pleasure to deal with. The view is magnificent. The location is wonderful, you could park your car and never get back in it until your stay is over. There is so much within walking distance, you are just a few steps from the boardwalk. The boardwalk was a blast for our kids, with amusement park rides, arcade, etc. To be able to stay ocean front in a roomy house for an incredible price is just about impossible to find, but you have it here! I would highly recommend this rental to anyone, the memories my family have made here are priceless!
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My group of five friends has stayed at Mary Cottage for two years, and we hope to continue the tradition for many years to come. We love the location (right on the beach, with fantastic views of the ocean), the character (it's an older cottage, but with updated amenities like two large decks, an outdoor shower, and newer kitchen appliances) and extremely well-maintained and cared for by its owners. They have very high expectations for their renters -- you're going to be cleaning the entire house before you leave! -- but that's exactly why it's such a wonderful place to stay. You WANT to take care of it as best you can and to make sure the next visitors are as happy in the house as you were. The location is great for beach bums and adventurers alike. You could enjoy the beach during the day and visit the unique boardwalk at night for free activities (movies, dances, etc.), amusement park rides, and people-watching. Or, you could learn to surf (several schools hold lessons within a quarter mile -- I highly recommend Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School), walk to the nearby state park, tour the aquarium at Fort Fisher, drive to Wilmington for site-seeing, etc. There are many good restaurants within walking distance ... you could easily spend the week without a car if you wanted. For the price and the location, you're getting a fantastic value. We've stayed at other condos in Carolina Beach, and they simply don't compare. There's nothing like being steps from the water, having two great decks to enjoy the view, and enjoying a clean, well-kept home.

Our summer would not be complete without a weeks stay at the Mary Cottage. It is an annual trip for four of us from Indiana. The cottage is right at the ocean. Just step out, walk a few feet, and there you are. Georgious sunrise and beautiful sunset. The cottage is very well equiped with all the amenties you would need for the week.Very clean and nice. Plus, you get the comfort of two decks. One is on the main level, the other is an upper deck looking over the beach and ocean. Good shopping and great resturants in the immediate area. Great people to rent from very helpful. I would highly recommend a weeks worth of Paradise.
