Exceptionally clean, Great Location, Attentive Owners
Exceptionally clean, Great Location, Attentive Owners
My wife, daughter and I were looking to view the Fall foliage, and we couldn't have picked a better time. We lucked out and hit the color change perfectly. I wish I had brought my golf clubs, but then the trip was not for golf. Being from Florida, we don't get the grandiose color changes they get in the west North Carolina mountains. We were only able to stay 3 days/4 nights due to school constraints, but this was one of our best experiences that we have had renting a place anywhere, including stays at the Gulf Coast in Pensacola Beach. The condo was very clean when we arrived. All too often we have had to clean or ask for a different place before. We normally go through a property manager. This is the first time we went through the actual owner, and I believe we will go through owners from now on. We were worried that not going through a property manager would leave us with whatever was there with no recourse. Jeff, the owner, called several times to ensure that everything was to our liking. He recommended a couple of restaurants, namely Joey's Pancake house and the Sweet Onion. It just so happened that there was an Apple Festival in nearby Waynesville so the Sweet Onion was too busy, but we enjoyed the festival none the less. We DID eat at Joey's, twice as a matter of fact. But, we showed up after 9 am (against Jeff's recommendation) so there was a bit of a wait, but it was well worth the wait. Great Belgian waffles and pancakes, oh, and they have corned beef hash as well, the best. Thanks Jeff. Regarding the area, it was convenient to the Cataloochee Valley, the Blue Ridge Pkwy, the Casinos at Cherokee (we didn't go but will next time) and Asheville, and Chimney Rock/Lake Lure. We saw color changes by the day. We wanted to stay an extra day but we had to get my daughter back to school. They have Spring Break, there should be a Fall Break as well. Anyway, for those wanting a nice, clan condo, convenient to the Smoky Mountains and to Asheville as well as casinos, this is a great place to stay with great attentive owners who want to make sure you enjoy your stay. We look forward to our next stay here, maybe Christmas or Spring. Thanks again for a wonderful experience.

About the owner: We recently purchased this property in beautiful Maggie Valley. This quaint town is a wonderful vacation getaway. We fell in love with the people here and the majestic mountains. My wife and I are avid tennis players and we are learning how to play golf
Why the Owner Chose Maggie Valley:
The small town serenity drew us to Maggie Valley and the pancakes at Joey's are fabulous.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We love the convenience of Maggie Valley. Because our condo is set in a country club we have the ability to stay active while on vacation, but still enjoy the peaceful surroundings and comforts of home.
