THINGS TO DO IN LOUISVILLE!!!

Museum Row on Main

Discover the history of the city’s beginnings and its future along historic Main Street, as you walk through the vibrant district of museums and cultural attractions. Swing by the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, or take a punch from the Champ at the Muhammad Ali Center. See history come to life at the Frazier History Museum, or blow your own ornament at Flame Run. Just be sure to tour all nine original attractions packed into six amazing blocks.

Waterfront Park and the Big Four Bridge

Louisville Metro has 122 city parks, several of which were designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, who also designed New York City's Central Park. Waterfront Park is an 85-acre park that connects the city to the Ohio River, and features a 2.6-mile paved loop for training. The newly opened Big Four Bridge offers a scenic one mile paved pedestrian and bicycle path across the Ohio River. Speaking of biking, you can jump on the Louisville Loop at Waterfront Park and ride 23 miles along the waterfront and through historic neighborhoods. This is just the first section of what will be a 100 mile loop around the city.

Churchill Downs/Kentucky Derby Museum

The Kentucky Derby isn’t the only thing that will get your heart racing at Churchill Downs. While you’re there, visit the Kentucky Derby Museum and learn all about the history of horse racing in Louisville.

Urban Bourbon Trail

Bourbon is the original American spirit—a fact celebrated every day in Louisville. Raise a glass at some of the best-stocked and most celebrated bourbon bars in the world, and collect stamps from the various stops along the Urban Bourbon Trail. Acquire enough stamps and you’ll receive a gift and join an elite group that has survived the Urban Bourbon Trail!

4th Street Live! and Whiskey Row

The premiere entertainment and dining districts in the heart of downtown 4th Street Live and Whiskey Row are the places to be. With a mix of nationally known dining spots and unique local flavor there’s something for everyone. Don’t forget the hopping entertainment venues on 4th Street and the more laid-back pub experience of Whiskey Row. If you’re looking for great dining, entertainment and retail, look no further.

NuLu District

The revitalization of the East Market district is something to behold. It is best known for its art galleries, specialty stores, antique shops and a growing number of local, upscale restaurants, 13 to be exact. There’s a reason Louisville was named one of the 'Best Foodie Getaways around the World' by Zagat.
How to get there

Louisville International Airport is served by most American airlines and there are many direct flights from major US cities. There are several interstate highways that pass through Louisville, too, making it an easy destination for those within driving distance.
