We just spent 2 weeks at the house. It was the first time we had rented through VRBO and we were very pleased. The house was clean when we arrived, extremely spacious, and very comfortable. The owner is very pleasant to work with. He addressed any questions we had and kept in touch with us while there to make sure we had everything we needed. We spent time in Lenox, Stockbridge, Great Barrington, Pittsfield and even made day trips to upstate NY and old Sturbridge Village. We hiked, went to the theatre, museums and ate at great restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed are time and hope to go back next summer.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We rented this house in the summer of 2011 and it was an excellent experience. A comfortable home, decorated in a pure New England style with all the expected amenities (good kitchen, washer/dryer, clean bathrooms, internet, cable TV, working fireplace, etc.) We walked from the house (on sidewalks so it was nice and safe) to Lenox center several times for ice cream, dinner (we loved Alta!), visiting the craft fair in the park. The Shakespeare Co is only a 5 minute walk from the house. We took a chance by renting from a stranger, but the owner is an honest man, easy to contact, and we recommend this rental!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We stayed at the house for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The house was clean, comfortable and offered all the comforts of home and then some! With four bedrooms and lots of space, the house could easily be shared with friends and there is much to enjoy in the area. This home is located centrally to the area, so travel to all the sites and entertainment was quick and easy. I would highly recommend this as a place to call home while you are in the Berkshires.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
