Our group of 14 who wanted a nice relaxing alternative to the typical New Years Eve celebrations and this home was perfect! Julia was extremely accommodating and made the entire rental process extremely easy. The house itself was beautiful and can easily house large groups. The location is great and very close to downtown, grocery stores, anything you would need. The place was extremely clean and every amenity listed was true to form. Our family, including smaller grandkids, spent one of the best weeks ever at this wonderful home. Inside, it looks like a picture from Coastal Living Magazine. It is extremely spacious, and set up well for a larger group. The downstairs is huge, and it gave the kids lots of room to play. Families with kids took the downstairs bedrooms since they get up so early. Upstairs, the rest of the adults could sleep until we smelled the coffee brewing. How relaxing and wonderful. Everything appears brand new, and you really feel pampered in this lovely space. The huge shower alone was worth the price !!! It really is steps from one of the most beautiful beaches you could want. The backyard was a huge plus. It is private and fenced and we spent a lot of down- time out there. When the surf's up, you can hear the waves slapping the shore....that's how close you are. The fire-pit table was terrific for the adults after the kids went to bed. We rent a home for a family vacation every year, and we all agreed that this was hands down the most wonderful place yet. The house, the beach, the pirate ship, and, of course, Captain Weiner's restaurant just steps away. (a kids favorite) South Haven is a beautiful little resort town. Julia, I wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed your home. The space was perfect for our larger group in terms of size and layout and the remodel on the entire home was very well done. The location next to both the beach and town was great too for access. There was pretty much unanimous agreement that we will want to rent it again next year...! We had a fantastic vacation the last week of July 2011. Our family, with ages from 8 to 81, had a wonderful time. We were at the beach in 3 minutes, also walked to town and the marina. Besides having a wonderful time at the beach, we rode bikes to the Van-Kal bike trail, enjoyed golfing, kayaking, bogey boarding, boating, walking to town, sitting around the fire pit in the back yard, playing pool, watching movies and playing games around the great dining room table. All the rooms are beautiful with seaside colors, comfortable furniture and lovely touches throughout. The patio is also great and a real extension of the inside of the house. Truly a great place to have a beach vacation.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

We loved this house!! It is so spacious, clean and full of all the amenities you would need. The photos don't do it justice. We loved the North Beach location and the short walk to downtown. The owners were very helpful and responsive. Searching for the perfect beach getaway lead us to a year long search for the best beach house available in South Haven. We live in Chicago's Lincoln Park Neighborhood and stare across the lake remembering great times in South Haven.
