  Our daughter was getting married in the area and we rented this lovely home so we could be relaxed and have family over. The pool and location on the Sakonnet River was perfect for us. The house was just as we had hoped it would be and would definitely rent here again.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.

  The house is absolutely perfect! The photographs truly do not do it justice. We are a group of 8 in our early-mid thirties and we thoroughly enjoyed everything about the house! The pool is fabulous and Joe, the homeowner, was kind enough to clean it early each morning so we didn't have to give it a second thought! The house is really lovely. There were 10 of us for a few days and there was plenty of space and more importantly plenty of seating everywhere. The house is fully equipped with everything you could want and so well maintained. The view is incredible. I really cannot say enough about how fantastic the house is. Joe couldn't be nicer! We would absolutely stay there again!

  We rented the home because we had a wedding in Portsmouth and it was close to the venue and decided a family vacation would follow - parents, 3 children, their spouses and 3 grandchildren ages 3, 17mos and 2 mos. It was better than expected - large enough so we weren't tripping over each other and able to accommodate everyone at meals etc. The views are spectacular, the pool was wonderful. It was one of the best vacations our family has spent together! Thanks Joe for sharing this beautiful home with us and for providing guidance on places to go, eat etc. We had a blast!

  My huband rented this house for me for the weekend to celebrate my 40th Birthday- a "kid free" escape with a few other couples. I cannot explain how excited I was as Joe took us on the tour of the home when we checked in. The house is fully stocked, the stainless steel appliances gleaming, and the kitchen was nicely appointed with everything you could need- from plastic ware for poolside to nice wine glasses. The rooms were beautifully decorated, plush linens, tons of towels for bath and pool...Oh yes, the pool. The 85 degree pool which we hardly ever left, even when it drizzeld on us! Benches built in for sitting and chatting in the deep end, not a bug or leaf to be found, nice patio set with plenty of seating for all. I have rented homes on the Cape, on the Vineyard and in Narragansett- no more. This is an immaculately cared for home that we will be renting for years to come. I did not want my long weekend to end, so next time we will make it the full week!

  My cousins and I had the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful home for a long weekend. We plan an annual trip together, and this was our first time in the Portsmouth/Newport area, and it could not have been better. The house lived up to the description and photos provided. The backyard is bigger than what it appears in the pictures, which was perfect for us since we played many outdoor games. The house literally has everything you could need from towels & linens to utensils; just bring your clothes and move right in. We like not having to go out to eat for every meal, and this home allowed us to cook/BBQ. There were 10 of us, and there was more than enough room to feel comfortable. It is about 15 minutes from the center of Newport, which was an easy drive. Joe and his son-in-law were very helpful in responding to any of my questions, and in giving recommendations. I would love to return and hopefully for a longer period of time!

  As others have said, the photos do not do this house justice! My sister and I spent a week here recently and enjoyed every minute. You can tell that the owners take pride in their home and property. All areas were very clean and well taken care of. This house has everything you need, and anything else is a short drive away. Once you get off the main road, the drive is quite lovely and it is a real joy pulling into the driveway. It was too cold to use the pool, but we were able to start each day on the deck with our coffee. The gas grill was great for cooking, as was the kitchen. Every thing you need to prepare and enjoy a meal and great appliances. We enjoyed the fireplace during the cool evenings. This house is wonderfully decorated and cared for. Once you enter thru the front door, you will feel right at home. The bedrooms are all very nice, as are the bathrooms and really, all the rooms in the house. All of the furniture is very comfortable, including on the deck and around the pool and the view is outstanding. Joe, the owner, is great to work with. He lives near by and is available for any questions. We even met the neighbors next door, they leave you alone, but are very kind in a "over the fence" way. All in all this house is a home that is set up for just a couple or a lot of people. It would be great to be here during the warmer months and enjoy the pool, but really, we did not miss it. This is a house that would be wonderful, warm and cozy, any time of year. You will not be disappointed. Many thanks Joe for a great stay!

  We were around 8 of us and each one of us loved this house and every single piece of furniture & accent in this house. The house was fully equipped with a loaded kitchen & bathrooms. Rooms were beautiful, comfortable & warm. The views of the beach were breathtaking. And most importantly the owner, Joe was a sweetheart. Very helpful & patient. Helped is with directions, things to do, where to eat, set up the fireplace for us..went to great lengths to make our stay as comfortable as it could get. Overall 5 stars..!..

  The house and the surrounding area far exceeded our expectations, and we hope to stay here again. The pictures do not do the house justice, everything in the home is tasteful, well-maintained and inviting. Every meal was on the deck overlooking the river, which is a spectacular view. The pool is great! There is plenty of room. We had four adults and five children, ages 1-1/2 to 13, everyone was comfortable and had a great time. The beaches were wonderful and there was much to do to satisfy all ages. Our host was very gracious and ensured we enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend the house and the area to friends and family for a memorable vacation.

  Most of my family was in the area for a wedding so we decided to extend the fun and rented this house for the week after the wedding. What a great house! The gas grill was so easy to use even for ammatures. All the beds are comfy. Linens are nice and fresh. The sunrise from the master BR was amazing. Joe the owner was attentive to every one of our needs. Lots of pool toys and patio furniture, beach towels. Just bring your swim suit. Kitchen has everything most people need. Would absolutely rent it again.

  What a treat. Thank you Joe for sharing your wonderful home. The pictures don't do the property justice. Anyone thinking of a reunion or family gathering would be hard pressed to find a better location. We will see you next year.
