Wake up to the sunrise off the balcony to invigorate your days for a memorable vacation which will call you back to the lake for more. Enjoy the convenience of your own boat dock with local marina launch sites nearby. Local ferry services within 5 to 10 minutes for island hopping with all their attractions. Fish for walleye and perch from your boat, by private charters or head boat charters in Port Clinton just 10 minutes away.
Maggee wildlife marsh is 20 minutes away, hosting hundreds of species including our symbol of freedom the Bald Eagle. Eagles have also been viewed near the condo region. The marsh has a beach, picnic areas, and fabulous trails. Several other state parks nearby, as well as Cedar Point Amusement Park, and several waterpark resorts. Inquire about day pass availability.

Visit the historic Marblehead Lighthouse, Lakeside community, and local shops offering antiques, professional artwork, or the forgotten necessity. Extend your drive to just over an hour to Cleveland to take in an Indians baseball game or Browns football, or viist the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Toledo is within an hour and is home to one of Ohio's famed zoos. A local wildlife safari is also nearby. Eat out or create your own meal in the full kitchen. Enjoy at the table as you watch the boats come in. So much to do, a vacation can be packed, but gas spending can be small!
Return at day's end for a nice swim, relaxing spa, and your Cat Nappin' at Catawba. Your king bed awaits and the kids can have their own private party in the loft!

This condo was perfect for a girls' week-end get-away. The pictures do not do it justice. It is spacious, comfortable and very clean. The galley kitchen contained everything we needed. 2 flat screen tvs and board games are there for entertainment. This is a second floor condo which gave us a great view to watch the boats going in and out of the harbor from the balcony. The loft was short for adults, but we only needed it for sleeping, so not a problem. It is located in the last row of condos, so there is less traffic. It was very quiet while we were there in the middle of August. There are take-out menus and flyers for local wineries. The owner gave great directions and suggestions for where to eat and shop. It was close to the ferry for Put In Bay and about 20 minutes to Cedar Point. There were many wineries to tour and restaurants nearby. We loved eating at the local Thai restaurant, Pattaya.

This is a PERFECT place to rent for a family vacation! The condo is very modern, updated and very cozy! The loft is a true "loft" for the kids- the beam comes down to only about 5ft 5 but is like a tree house for the kids! My kids could not wait to go up into their own space! We had rain and then extreme heat so we stayed in most of our visit- there are enough games and books to last a week and the best stocked kitchen appliances to make anything you could possibly want! The owners are the the most outgoing and friendliest I have met-- This was perfect all around!

About the owner: We are Ohio natives and have enjoyed the beauty of our state. We like to fish, hike, and support Ohio Agriculture, all of which we can do at Lake Erie. We also like to take in a cat nap if the kids allow.
Why the Owner Chose Catawba Island:
After using VRBO to find vacation rentals for a few years, we decided we wanted our own get away. We have enjoyed Lake Erie and viewed hundreds of potential areas before finding the secret of Come Sail Away. We wanted to share it with you before enjoying it more in our retirement.
