The villa is designed to maximise the closeness and spirituality of nature with open air living, bedroom and bathroom. Although it is in the middle of a beautiful tropical jungle, it offers classic elegance and charm with romantic ambiance.
Our charming and intimate villa will make you feel as if it is your very own dream house in this beautiful Island of the Gods, Bali. It is a perfect escape for couples and honeymooners.
It is our aim to make you feel at home during your entire stay which we hardly experience at a hotel or managed hotel villa.

Without a doubt Villa Shamballa is set in the most beautiful inland location we have ever stayed. The breathtaking lush green jungle at your doorstep is the first thing that melts you when you walk in, followed by the stylish, simple, traditional yet modern interiors that open out seamlessly to the tropical view. The beauty is made even more accessible by the fact that there aree no windows, that's right, it's almost like you are in the jungle. This is treehouse living at it's best. It's so wonderful to watch the resident gekkos ( who are so large they look pre-historic) look down at you from the beams and the cute little frogs perched around the pool at night. So raw yet super luxurious. The bed is divine, you melt right into it and never want to get out. The morning sunrise mixed with mist of the forest is out of this world with oranges and pinks and greens that you have never seen. When the sun burns it off, a dip in pool and a couple of hours on the sun lounge by the edge of the jungle is so rejuvenating. The staff are so accommodating and in true Bali style, are warm and inviting and almost feel like family. It's really special. The food is first class, even the fillet minion that my husband ordered, as he is not a fan of Indo food, was on par some of the top restaurants we have eaten in. What more can I say....? Truly the place to go to replenish body and spirit. Amazing location, truly generous staff and the nearby fascinations of Ubud all combine to make an unforgettable and life-changing time-out! We've had the most wonderful vacation ever.... The lovely villa's and the breath-taking view were unforgettable. And the staff have been taking care of us in an excellent way. We stayed at Villa Shamballa for 5 days to celebrate my birthday, and it was quite possible the most relaxing, luxurious holiday we've ever had. Despite being a short drive to the center of Ubud, the villa feels wonderfully secluded and private. The views are just incredible, as is the villa itself. But I think the most amazing asset is the staff, they were simply incredible. Illuh's cooking is to die for. I'm a very hot sleeper, and before I left I was a little concerned at the lack of windows/air conditioning. But this turned out to be no problem at all. The ceiling fans, the breeze, and the orientation of the property all meant I slept like a baby. There is something that makes the Shamballa Villa different to all the other villas we have seen around Bali. The villa has character, every detail is spot on and thought true (from the furniture, to the fresh flowers, to the materials used for the house, to the amazing home cooked food). The villa instantly make's you feel at home and you can see in every little thing that the owners have put love, time and money into making it in a unique place to stay. Its secluded, intimate but at the same time not in the middle of no where. The open air bathroom and bedroom with view over Ubud's jungle valley where incredible! There is no better way to wake up than to watch the sunrise from the bed. Don't miss out on a romantic dinner by the pool cooked by the loverly staff surrounded by the noises of nature and the fire flies. Our only critic would be that you can hear the noise from the cars passing on the nearby road but apart from that Villa Shamballa is a must for those that look for a tastefull and romantic hideaway close to Ubud.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.
