"Sheffield Woodlands" is a lovely private home in a fabulous Berkshire setting. Off the main roads, yet not too isolated, this comfortable 3+ bedroom, 2 bathroom home has many desirable features!
The main floors has a full cook's kitchen with updated appliances, a small breakfast table, and a full dining room which easily seats 6, with room to spare. There is an upright piano in this room!
The floor plan is open and leads from the dining room into the sunny living room with cozy leather sofas and large picture windows with lovely views.
There is a main floor master bedroom ( queen bed) suite with full bath with a tub/shower combination.
Upstairs, you have two more roomy bedrooms, one with a full bed and the other with two twins beds.
These two bedrooms share the second full bathroom.
One the ground floor level there is a family/TV/playroom with a full-sized futon bed for an extra guest!
Outside you have a wonderful sun deck with lovely mountain views, a table, chairs, and a grill for dining al fresco! There are stairs which lead up to the deck but it is also accessed from the kitchen. There is a fire-pit and a basket ball hoop!
The Berkshires are well known for its cultural attractions: Shakespeare and Company, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Jacob's Pillow, Tangelwood, museums, shops, restaurants, galleries and more!
Guests of the homeowner are welcome to take the canoe to Berkshire Lake for fishing - its only a 5 minute walk! Just a quick 5 minutes drive to access the Appalachian Trail. You are within walking distance to Berkshire School and Berkshire Choral Festival and close to Race Brook Falls. Just 20 min away from Millerton NY Rail Trail, 8 miles to Great Barrington, and you are close to Lakeville and Salisbury CT!
