The property really did exceed our expectations. It was delightfully charming, extremely well equipped, clean and tidy and the ambiance created by the christmas decorations really did give it an extra welcoming feel (and provided an unexpectedly wonderful surprise on our arrival!). Our children were delighted with all of the toys and games left out for them to enjoy, not to mention the outdoor space where they could safely run around. Location was good - close to local amenities as well as also being in close proximity to Asheville and the Biltmore Estate. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to take a vacation in the area and the cabin really is perfect for families.

This is a beautiful cabin minutes from downtown Asheville. We have already referred this property to friends from Florida who are planning a trip this winter. Will definitely stay here again. The owners have done a marvelous job with stocking this home with everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Country Haven is the perfect family vacation rental. We rent through VRBO several times a year and have never been disappointed; however, Country Haven is the most well appointed home we have ever stayed in. The kitchen, in particular, is very well stocked with every type of pot, pan, and utensil one would need to prepare meals for a family. The furniture and beds are very comfortable, and there is a nice wrap around porch with plenty of seating for large groups. It is a lovely, charming home with fantastic views of the mountains. Our child especially enjoyed running around the yard - our only regret is that we didn't make use of the fire pit! We hope to come back to Country Haven soon!

We had a GREAT time last week at Country Haven! The cabin was perfect for our family. It was one of the cleanest rentals that I have ever stayed in. We felt right at home. The view was beautiful and the location is convienient to everything you could want to do in the Asheville area. Our kids enjoyed the big yard and the wrap around front porch. I would totally recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the NC mountains!

We rented this cabin for our annual girl's trip--Mom and 2 daughters--and it was perfect for us. We have stayed at a number of rental cabins and this was one of the best. The cabin is exceptionally clean and well maintained and has everything you need and more. It is tastefully decorated, and the rooms are big and very comfortable, including the beds. The owners take pride in their cabin and it shows. We thoroughly enjoyed having our morning coffee sitting on the porch watching the mist rise through the mountains and the animals grazing nearby. The location is great--only 5-10 mins away from Asheville proper and close to grocery stores and the like. At the end of our busy days, however, it was nice to turn onto the gravel road and back to the peace and serenity of the cabin and it's beautiful location. It was a sad morning when we had to check out--we would definitely recommend this property and plan to stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at Country Haven for a last-minute getaway this past weekend. We found the cabin to be clean, well-equipped and a convenient distance to downtown Asheville. The views from the porch were unbeatable and overall, it was just a great place to relax! Would definitely stay again if in the area. Thanks to Linde for being so friendly and accommodating!

I have stayed at Country Haven, too many times too count. Country haven is our home away from home. Country Haven is a slice of heaven in the mountains of North Carolina, I love eating breakfast on the deck while watching the buffalo (Sadly, this was the last year for the buffalo, they went to a new home, while we were there), and hearing the roosters and the minature donkies in the distance. The cabin is so well maintained and a HOME for us when we go on vacation, that you can sit in and relax, with satellite TV, wi-fi, and a washer and dryer, beautiful landscape, mountains as far as the eye can see. Just go down the highway, to the grocery store (10 minutes away), and that is all you will ever need. Everything you need is right there. No hotel beds, No noisy neighbors, you have a home, for the time you stay in North Carolina. Some of the activities we love to do while we are there are horseback riding, about 30 minutes away is Sandy Bottom trail rides, alot of places to go hiking, and we love the little City of Weaverville just 20 minutes away, they offer the best pizza around! We always hate to leave our home away from home, but know every year we will back, it is the most relaxing place for us. The owners of Country Haven have become our friends over the years, very personable and sweet people, they check to see if everything is OK and they are there right away if there is ever an issue. I would recommend Country Haven to anyone, who is planning a trip to North Carolina.

My family really enjoyed our first trip to Asheville staying in Country Haven. What a lovely cottage! The beds are super comfy, the scenery is amazing and there is everything you need in the cabin to make your stay comfortable. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat conveniently close to the city and Biltmore, this is it. We would totally come back the next time we're in Asheville.

This cabin is exactly as described, and we agree with the excellent reviews that it has received. It is owner maintained, and that certainly shows in the care that is taken with all the details. What can't really be appreciated until you stay here for a week is how excellent it is in terms of its closeness to all the things that you should want to do in and around Asheville, when not thoroughly enjoying the sense of restful remoteness that this cabin affords. We were traveling with our daughter's family which includes our two grandsons, ages 8 and 2. We have been to Asheville before, but with this larger group, including the toddler, a hotel would just not do. We chose this cabin in large measure because of the pictures showing the large sloping yard. A cabin perched on a hillside seemed to be asking for trouble with the boys. We could not have been more pleased! The fire pit got a good workout as the 8 year-old could get enough of cooking hot dogs on a stick or making "Smores". The other half of the pleasure equation was the convenience. Driving into the city downtown, to 12 bones in the River Arts District, the Biltmore, or south to the Carl Sandburg home in Flat Rock, and the North Carolina Arboretum was not a problem at all, and we always looked forward to getting back to the peacefulness of the cabin. On our last day we went north to Marshall, and rafted on the French Broad River with Sandy from Blue Heron Whitewater. There is something for everyone at this very nicely situated cabin.

As you step into the Oconaluftee Indian Village, you’re transported back to witness the challenges of Cherokee life at a time of rapid cultural change. Open daily 9
