This island house is perfect for those interested in some quality family time that is tucked in a quiet part of Florida. The house size suited our family of three very well. The house had all the necessities and was easy to assume as our home away from home.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Island living is very cool! We had such a wonderful time! The cottage was cheery, clean, and had everything we needed (or wanted). We loved the screened in porch. It is so close to the beach less than a 3 minute walk down an adorable sand road. We watched gorgeous sunsets at the beach and beautiful sunrises at the dock. The island taxi was easy to schedule. We also rented a boat and went to Cabbage Key for lunch and spent the day surrounded by dolphins ... very fun! We went over to Boca Grande for shopping and bought shrimp right off of a shrimp boat. Delicious! Highly recommend visiting this cottage.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your wonderful review. You are welcome back anytime with a discount for returning renters. Glad everything was good for you. Thank you again

My hubby, our dog, and I stayed at the beachhouse, our first time on the island-and absolutley loved it! Quiet, secluded, and cozy it was the perfect vaca spot-even better than I expected! We had a great time, the beach was exactly how they describe it-white sandy beaches, no crowds, plenty of wildlife to see everyday, and warm blue water. The site said a 3 minute walk to the beach but we made it in about a minute, just a few steps away. Perfect vaca spot for anyone, the price can't be beat, and the owner was so sweet and accomodating. Everyone on the island including the guy who drives the water taxi were so friendly and nice. The only bad part was having to leave. Can't wait to go back!!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Truly the most relaxing vacation I have ever had. Our plan was to thaw out from the cold midwest winter, just relax and soak up the sun That is exactly what we experienced. The owners were very helpful preparing us for our visit. The description is 100% accurate. No disappointmets. Plenty of wildlife to view, Tortoises,Osprey, Dolphins, Manatees, and various birds. The Island has a beutiful gulf beach that you will be comfortable planting your butt in the sand anywhere along the seven mile stretch. No crowds. The beach is also dog friendly. The shelling is amazing. No roads, streetlights or commercialism. The island quiets down right after the sun goes down. The neighbors were very helpful and always willing to share information if needed. Everyone on the island is very friendly. We enjoyed the grill for a late evening cookout. The screened in porch has plenty of seating to get that perfect view while you enjoy your morning coffee. We also enjoyed fishing, long walks on the beach and meeting new friends. Picking a DVD from the collection and watching a movie at night. Now looking forward to go back. Just bring your favorite food, drink and friends.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
