You'll love to entertain and visit with family and friends in the huge great room with open kitchen. The 30 foot wall of windows overlooking a private deck and garden draws the eye to the beautiful views of Neahkahnie Mountain. Meander out onto the deck and catch wonderful glimpses of the sun setting over the ocean.
We are located in the neighborhood north of downtown, about a 10 to 15 minute walk - easy to sneak out for that morning paper and cup of coffee, or to take a quick run on the beach before the rest of the house gets up! Look in the guest book for an easy trail to Neahkahnie beach where you can explore the creeks or search for sand dollars.
The home sleeps 6 in good-sized private rooms (2 bedrooms have queens and a 3rd have a double and a twin). The master is a cozy retreat at the end of the house with its own bath and flat screen TV. The third bedroom has a small TV with a big selection of videos - for a little escape time. You'll have a big mud/laundry room with an outside entrance to make clean up easy after a day on the beach.
Our small town hosts wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries and boutiques. If you are seeking a little pampering, superb spa facilities are available - but call early to reserve, as times fill up fast! And of course, the sandy beaches are right at the foot of main street. It's fun and easy to fill up a day for one and all.
Our home has always been a special place for us and our family and friends. We are seeking renters who are looking for their own 'home away from home' and will appreciate and enjoy the care and pride that we have put into the house and garden.

I love this place! I've come here for a mini-reunion with my parents, brother and his two children two years in a row now, and we'll keep coming back. It's a peaceful yet very accessible spot. Every day we would start with a coffee and a book on the back deck, then meander to the beach, wander around the adorable village of Manzanita, or take a quick jaunt to Cannon Beach to see the puffins and sea creatures. The owners are the friendliest folks and you can tell they really care about keeping you comfortable. The house has everything you need and more. I enjoy cooking here because the kitchen is well stocked. The open kitchen/living room area had enough seats for everyone to comfortably lounge on in the evenings. Many memories have been made here, with many more to come!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Our family had a wonderful experience at your lovely home this past week. It was clean, warm, quiet, well-stocked, and perfectly nestled in the woods. I loved taking my book out onto the deck to read, I felt like I was miles from the "real" world while in reality I was just a 10 minute walk from a sweet little town and great beach. The little touches like movies and books, slippers by the door, maps in the hutch, games for the family, puzzles, and even shampoos and conditioners made me feel like you were caring for us through your home.Thumbs way up from the whole family!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We spent 4 days at this wonderful beach cabin celebrating our birthdays. It was a perfect place to enjoy some relaxing girl time! The house had a great layout for cooking meals together, playing board games, or reading a book on the patio. Only a short walk to the town, where we enjoyed live music at the local pub, or a stroll along the beach. Such a wonderful escape from the busy city life; we look forward to our next visit!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

We stayed two nights with family visiting from the midwest. We love Manzanita and found this home a very well-appointed, comfortable place to call "home base" for enjoying the beautiful Oregon coast! With a fireplace to take off the chill and a large kitchen with everything we were looking for, it was a very comfortable stay. It's tucked in the woods and feels very private, with a peek view of the ocean through the trees. We even had a Raccoon walk casually across the deck in the morning while we were eating breakfast! Enjoyed our stay!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

Beautiful and well maintained home. Very comfortable and quiet area. I have also stayed here with girlfriends to scrapbook and relax. Can't wait to go again. About the owner: The beach has always been a part of our family's life. We have been coming to the Oregon coast for over 50 years. We kayak, surf, hike, clam, run, walk and sometimes just sit and read in the sun and sand. We purchased our first house about 12 years ago, and are lucky now to have a home that is even more accommodating to others.
Why the Owner Chose Manzanita:
Manzanita is an ideal location between 2 parks - Oswald West (Short Sand Beach) a couple of miles to the north, and Nehalem Bay State Park just to the south.
The sleepy town has just the right amount of restaurants and shops and the locals are friendly and welcoming. The beach is easy to access and stretches for miles. It's the perfect place!!
