    We've stayed in other VRBO's at Northstar. This one is our favorite. Fantastic kitchen, clean and well organized. Upstairs media room a hit with the young ones.

    Furnishings are new...much better than a lot of the older homes in Northstar. Kitchen filled with everything you need, and open set up is great for group dining. Home was very clean. Welcome bottle of wine was a great touch. The guest book was the best, most comprehensive, and clear guest books I've ever seen in a rental. Home is totally wired with internet, DVD player, Pandora, and Roku. Home is also very well set up for infants and toddlers (high chair, stair gates, pack and play). Shuttle taking you to the village conveniently comes directly to your door. All in all, definitely a home that I would go back to.

    The home was everything that the pictures show, and then some. The welcome wine was a wonderful touch and the convenience of the 2 car garage cannot be overstated. Beautiful wood finishing and luxury home, without feeling opulent. Also, while my party did not have small children, the child-friendliness of the place was very apparent. No aspect that was not thought of. Definitely a vacation in style.

    Our group of five had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving week! The house is equal parts beautiful and comfortable, with every amenity and many thoughtful details (including an extremely well-stocked kitchen, complete with a complementary bottle of wine)! We were able to hit the slopes each morning via the complementary shuttle (which was at the driveway within a minute or two of calling each time), and then relax in front of the cozy fire every evening. It was great for the adults to hang out in the living room with the satellite tv, while the kids enjoyed streaming Netflix upstairs. We've had many nice experiences renting vacation homes at Northstar over the years, but this one was probably the best. Wonderful home, and excellent, accommodating owner as well. Thanks so much, and we hope to be back soon!

    We arrived to a welcoming bottle of wine., and that was just the tip of all we enjoyed about this beautiful home. The pictures not do justice as to how clean an comfortable this home really is. The kitchen is well appointed with more than one would ever need to create a gourmet meal or just sip wine on the back deck. I loved being out there on that wonderful deck, just high enough to sit amongst the pines and aspen trees. I would love to stay here again!

    Truly beautiful! I would like to keep this place as my own secret getaway, but must share what a lovely stay we had in this condo. It is extremely well appointed, and not just with the basics, but with quality amenities. Everything you could need is there for you. The owner was so kind to let us stay without prior reservations, and he really salvaged our vacation from the nightmare accommodations we originally reserved. The location is excellent, just a 2 minute drive to the village & super rec center. It would have been an easy walk, but we were in vacation mode, and chose to drive to and from the village. This condo was pure bliss, and it was an absolute pleasure to do business with the owner. He really cares about the condition of the property, and it shows!

    I went to Tahoe recently (July 2012) with 3 friends. We had rented a condo that ...had problems. So we called the owner of this house, on the slim chance that the house was available immediately, and for an entire week. Fortunately for us, it was! and the owner was super nice and accommodating. *The house is absolutely beautiful and BIG. (In addition to 3 spacious bedrooms and 2.5 baths, there's a TV room/den upstairs and off the kitchen, so nightowls like me can go watch late night tv or DVDs without disturbing anyone else!) *The owner thought of EVERYTHING--I've never been in a rental that is so well-equipped (quantity and quality): lots of towels (and beach towels!), dishes, and silverware and just about every cooking utensil and pot/pan a person could want to make a big meal. (We only went out to dinner once the whole week, partly because we were so happy just hanging out in the house.) The furniture, linens, art, master bathroom!--all were newer and of high quality. (The house underwent a major remodel not long ago, so everything feels very fresh and new.) *Fantastic location--it's on a quiet street just a two-minute drive to Northstar Village and rec center. I can't say enough about how wonderful a place this is. I'd enthusiastically recommend this property to anyone, and will definitely come back. *General recommendations: Sandy Harbor Beach is a beautiful place (north of Incline village) to relax and swim in super clean and clear water. There are bathrooms, a boat launch, and a deli. Entrance fee of $12 per car. Heading west from King's Beach will get you to Tahoe City (via Incline Village) faster, but the drive east is much more interesting and scenic and not quite as windy, although it took maybe 20 minutes longer. Tennis at Northstar is wonderful (ranked #16 in the nation): the courts are well-maintained and the pros teaching lessons are excellent instructors. I'm not good at remembering names, but in the Village we ate some amazing gelato (at least 20 flavors) and anything from the Deli is going to be delicious. (I think it's the largest deli there, if not the only one. I had chicken lasagne and a sunshine bar. My friends had great sandwiches.) Without exception, the people who work in the restaurants, shops, and casinos were so nice and helpful. The week in Tahoe ranks as one of my best vacations ever. Staying in this house was icing on the cake. We pinched ourselves all week, not believing our good fortune!

    Beautiful home and we loved the layout with master bedroom on main level and 2 bedrooms on lower level. Everything was top notch and perfect! We really enjoyed our time there and the bottle of wine was such a nice welcome. Definitely will rent this home again. Thanks Birch!

    We stayed at property 351701 for a long weekend and we simply did not want to leave! This is a very well designed home with a comfortable set up and great appliances. We hope to return very soon for an extended vacation. The location could not be better - we walked to the village/ rec center everyday. It is a beautiful home. We commend the owners and appreciate their kind hospitality!!!!

    We stayed a little over a week in this this great vacation home. The location is fantastic for walking to the village through the woods or a quick shuttle ride (this street is 1st stop on route) You do not need a car! The house has been remodeled with upgraded modern features and is furnished and stocked very well. There is lots of dishes, towels/linens, paper products etc. I mention this because we have rented several houses in North Star through the years and I would say this was by far the best supplied house we have rented. We cooked breakfast and dinner daily in the wonderful kitchen. We relaxed by the fireplace and played games at the dining table with seating for 6 nightly. We had wonderful trip! We would recommend this house to 1 or 2 families (6-8 people) looking for a relaxing vacation rental in Northstar before you look elsewhere.

    My friends and I came up during early season for opening weekend. This place is awesome and very luxurious! Perfect for a group of friends or a big family. It's conveniently located within the N* village with on-call shuttle transportation. Very modern with wifi, two flat screen TVs, sound system in the living room. House keepers come before and after your stay so it is immaculate upon arrival. With a spacious living room and lots of cozy corners to relax, this is the perfect place to come for a leisurely vacation anytime of the year.

    We rented this home with friends for Labor Day Weekend and had a great time. The home is very clean beautifully decorated and well appointed with everything you could need. The owners could not have been more pleasant to rent from and were available for any of our questions. We would rent this home again and hope to visit again over the winter.

    We recently rented this cabin for a guys weekend and I can't say enough about how nice it is. Though the listing info and photos accurately reflect the cabin, we all thought it was much more beautiful in person. The property was clean and very well maintained and the owner was very easy to work with. We loved barbecuing and sitting around the table on the beautiful back deck (just a little street noise). I look forward to coming back to this great cabin and would highly recommend it to others.

    "This is really nice" is the first thing our wide-eyed daughter said when we walked into the house. We celebrated her 7th birthday at the Lake and the house was perfect. It had everything you could think of and was very clean. The pictures don't do the house justice. The big deck was our favorite spot to hang out during the day. The windows from the master bedroom gave us wonderful views of the stars at night and pine trees the moment we woke up in the morning. Birch, was very accommodating with our last minute booking and went out of his way to make us feel at home. We can't wait to go back and would highly recommend this place to our family and friends.
