My wife and I, along with 2 other couples, enjoyed Brian"s house and hospitality for one week last July. Very clean, quiet, and a great location. The only thing that was hard was leaving......so we will be backRecommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

I stayed here for 5 nights with my two sisters. We loved it here. The west entrance to the park is not too far, about 15 minutes away, but other entrances will keep you in the car much longer. However, this is a house, complete with a very functional kitchen, living area, wonderful deck and back yard and it is QUIET. Many other rentals mention the railroad nearby but we were not bothered by this at all. We used the grill and picnic table on the deck most nights, and one night built an outdoor fire in fire ring in the back yard. The house was clean and Brian is a good resource for other services you may want in the area. The lake nearby (Bailey Lake) was not appealing to us, since there are many other lakes which are breathtaking in their beauty. We went to Whitefish our last night for dinner and shopping. It stays light this time of year until 1000 PM so your days can be quite long if you use light as your guide. However, we rarely drove on these back roads after dark! We floated one half day on the middle fork of the Flathead River. This was a wonderful choice. The river is stunning and pristine. The white water was class 2 to 3. I would definitely return. We never ran out of things to do.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Our 2 adult children and their spouses joined us here, for a total of 6 people. We loved this place because it has charm, privacy, is clean, has a well-equipped kitchen, lovely deck and yard, beautiful flowers and is not a run-of the mill resort-type of place. Each bedroom was private and the common areas were very nice. We all ate together for dinners, the grill worked great, and one day we just slept in and relaxed on the deck and enjoyed the place without going anywhere. Another unexpected bonus was the winery next door; we purchased some wine there to go with our dinner. The stay here added to the joy of our trip. I'd recommend this to anyone. The West Glacier park entrance and Columbia Falls were both within about 15 minutes of the house, but the location is definitely off the beaten path.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

This is a really nice home in the woods. It is very quiet and not close to any of the railroad tracks that run along the southern border of GNP. There is also a hidden lake known only to locals within walking distance of the house, which is a great place to go swimming on a hot day. which we did...twice. A great location for driving into the park to go hiking and exploring. It's an easy 10 minute drive to Hungry Horse for shopping too. Very comfortable beds and amenities with lots of room for everyone to spread out and relax. Lots of board games on the shelf to play with family and friends. The back deck has a nice BBQ and is also great for stargazing at night. Horseshoes in the backyard are fun. Really comfortable, easy and secluded. It's a very good value for the price. The folks who own and rent this place are fair and trustworthy and can answer any questions you have about exploring Glacier, too. This is a very nice place to stay.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.
