Just a short drive away, you will have complimentary access to pools, beaches, fishing piers, fitness center, tennis courts, sand volleyball court, walking trails, x box game room and 7 sport simulator room, playground and a boat ramp!
Bring your boat, put it in at Mariners Landing (boat ramp access included with rental), dock it in your backyard and take the boat over to Mariners for a day at the pools and beach (access to pools and beach included with rental). Mariner's Landing also offers an 18 hole championship golf course.
Start your day with breakfast on the deck or in the sunroom overlooking the lake and mountain. Spend the day swimming or fishing off the dock. With access to a bathroom with shower from the deck its quick and easy to get cleaned up and out of the wet clothes.
When you want a day not on the lake take a ride to Mariners Landing and enjoy your pool, beach and game room access, play a couple rounds of tennis or volleyball (included) or check out the championship golf course Mariners Landing has to offer.
Take a day and check out the area. The Snowflex Centre at Liberty Univ. offers YEAR ROUND skiing, snowboarding and tubing. Imagine tubing in 90 degree weather! There is also the Bedford Wine Trail for the wine enthusiast. The Smith Mountain Lake Wine Fesitval is held in September (over 8000 people attended this event last year.) For the naturist there is Smith Mountain Lake State Park, Blue Ridge Parkway, Peaks of Otter (has hiking trails up the mountain) and just sitting on the deck enjoying the local wildlife.

We took our family of six (two adults, three college students and a 13 year old) to the house for Memorial Day weekend. The rental agency had a last-minute cancellation, and they were able to offer the property to us for a short stay. After three beautiful days of fishing, swimming, hiking and relaxing, we cannot wait to visit again for a whole week! Stephanie at the rental office was extremely helpful; I had sent my three older children ahead of time, and she made sure that they were settled in the house and comfortable until the rest of us arrived. The house is clean and well-maintained. All of the rooms are modern, the beds comfortable, and the ammentities great. The large dock was fantastic for swimming, fishing, tanning, or just relaxing by the water. As an added perk, the state park two miles away offers hiking, picnicing and water sport rentals. Overall we had a great weekend on Smith Mountain Lake, and we look forward to returning again soon!Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

We found the home to be spacious and comfortable. We loved having a private bath with each bedroom. The views from the deck and porch are amazing. We have vacationed at Smith Mountain Lake numerous times is this is one of the nicest homes we have every stayed at.Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.
