Charming Beach Cottage - Dreams & Memories, a Perfect Getaway!
- Minimum stay:N/A
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
This charming beach Cottage is the 7th house from the beach(less than 1 minute walk to the sand!); it is truly among the most charming cottages in Pierpont. It is perfect for a romantic get-away, or a family vacation. Because it is so close to the sand, you can spend the day at the beach going back and forth from the cottage for food, drink, or rest. From the new, but rustic, birch-wood floors, to the Brazilian blue-green sea-bottom granite, to the hot tub, and attention to detail throughout, as well as one of the largest useable garden-yards in the community, this unique retreat delights. The Cottage consists of a custom, gorgeous kitchen, with new appliances, dishes, cookware, and much more to enjoy your stay. The Cottage has a master bedroom with a Queen bed, a family-room with a pull-out Queen bed, and a super-room ( a larger room than the master, with a 3/4 privacy divider separating bunk beds, room-space and closets on one side, from a Queen bed, room-space and closets on the other). Families with boys and girls stay comfortably in this super-room with plenty of space and privacy for all. Linens, sheets and bath-towels are provided. Free wireless internet, cable TV (43" flat screen and 32" flat screen), iPOD (and/or iPhone) dock-stereo, CD-player, and DVD player with internet-ready and Netflix account access in the house. The Cottage is walking distance from markets, shopping, restaurants, C-Street and Surfer’s Point, the historic Ventura Pier, the Ventura Harbor and the famous well maintained bike and walking paths that stretch for miles along the beaches, and even into Ojai. Pierpont beach is uniquely beautiful with jetties and dunes, stunning sunsets, great expanses of sand for beach fun, and is known by many as a classic California beach treasure. Ventura’s Pierpont beach is just off the Seaward exit off the 101 Freeway in Ventura close to Summerland, Carpenteria, Santa Barbara and the Central Coast wineries.. The Ventura Harbor is filled with recreational and fishing boats, easy access boat rides to the pristine Channel Islands National parks, as well as the Channel Island museum. Also spend time in rejuvenated downtown Ventura on Main St., with its fine-dining restaurants, movie theaters, clubs and entertainment.

We had a great stay at the cottage and I would highly recommend it. It was well stocked with kitchen supplies, linens and games. The backyard is spacious and the grill and hot tub were top quality. Jeff was an excellent host and was available for any questions while we were there. It is a perfect location for exploring Ventura.Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

This lovely, cozy house offered the perfect retreat from hectic city life. Great kitchen and new flatscreen TVs, chic decor, very comfy bed in the master. Everything you need and nothing you don't. You'll feel at ease right away. The yard is big and nicely landscaped; the pictures don't do it justice. Loved having coffee on the patio in the mornings, so peaceful. House was big enough for two couples and a child very easily but really was ideal when it was just my husband and me. A real haven. I want to go back! You can't beat the location. Steps to the beach and just a short walk to cafes, a supermarket, and a Starbucks. Jeff, the owner, was super nice to deal with and very responsive. You should seriously consider this house for your vacation.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My family and I spent a week at this darling little home. It is so cute with a HUGE backyard with a hot tub and a giant expanse of flat lawn. I have a tumbler and she loved the space. The kitchen is stunning with lovely granite counters and bright white cabinets, the floor was elegant espresso hardwood. I did think there was 3 bedrooms, but the 2nd bedroom is huge and partitioned off by a two-sided storage unit (which by the way DOES NOT diminish the space and provides privacy) with a bunk bed on one side and a queen on the other, as well as, a super comfy pull out in the sofa in the living room. Plenty of space. The home is a few houses from the beach and a few blocks from Vons, we body surfed and body boarded, along side of seals and dolphins, walked to the store and on the path running along the state beach to the pier and the fairgrounds. It is close enough to take a jaunt to Carpinteria or Santa Barbara in the morning and still make it back to enjoy the beach and the afternoon sun. Dealing with owner was so great. He actually answered his phone when I called about the property and we were able to take care of business quickly and efficiently. He made sure everything was just right and even seemed happy to hear from me when I needed help with the cable remote (later in the evening) and has been cheerfully communicative at the end of our trip!!! Thank you, Jeff and family. We would love to come back and plan on it soon!!!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

We loved this darling beach cottage! The sunsets were beautiful. My husband and I are semi-retired. We loved the relaxing atmosphere, and the attention to detail in the cottage. He would take endless walks on the beach, and I enjoyed reading and relaxing. The location is excellent, and we would recoomend this cottage to any family or couple for a vacation. We definitely want to come back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

About the owner: Our family of 5 love this beach cottage! Our kids have grown up at the beach from age 3 to 15. The kids have the freedom of the car-free bike trails along the beach, walking to the local shops and restaurants, as well as all of the beach stuff, from boogie-boarding, surfing, football on the sand, to relaxing with a good book. My wife and I walk along the beach everyday that we are there, both in the morning to see the dolphins, and in the evening to get the sunsets.
Why the Owner Chose Ventura:
Where the Ventura River meets the ocean is spectacular. Pierpont Beach is a California treasure, and the perfect family beach. Walking and biking as a family provides memories for a lifetime.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Our cottage has one of the largest, if not the largest, useable yards in the whole beach community. Our kids love to take a dip in the hot tub and play in the yard, or barbeque after a day at the beach. It is a quiet yard, with grass, flowers and echoes of the waves.
