We are both in education and are passionate about instilling children (our own and the ones in our classrooms) with the tools they need to be successful. We enjoy taking time away to recharge during school vacations & use homeaway ourselves for our own vacations. We enjoy sharing our comfy home, fantastic neighborhood and unique city with our guest. Why the Owner Chose Other Austin Properties: Austin is a great town; and living right in the middle of the film, art , and music district of the east side while being so close to the lake gives us a sense of urban living with the benefit of Austin's green space. With the metro bus hub, the light rail station, and the bike routes so close by we can get anywhere we want with ease.
The Unique Benefits at this House: The house is in a quiet cul-de-sac, providing a cozy neighborhood feel just minutes from the excitement of downtown. Only 2 blocks away is a short term bicycle rental station,austin.bcycle.com,as well as many cycleries that offer longer term bike rental. Downtown is about a 10 min. bike ride. We are only a few blocks from a number of different bus routes into downtown, each taking about 20 min.
