There are many different flats offered for rental in Paris, but few have the subtle ambience, location, and affordability as this one. Paul did make the rental process painless (which is very important in any business relationship), and he bent over backwards to check in on us after we arrived to ensure everything was up to expectations. We also want to commend Rodolfo and his wife (the caretakers of the flat) for making us feel welcome and providing necessary guidance in getting around Paris. We enjoyed our stay, and would definitely rent from Paul again. Jeffrey & Olga

This penthouse property is sooo well-located with mesmerizing views from three windows (living room, bedroom and bath) over the rooftops of Paris. We rented this charming apartment for month of September. It was spotless and overflowing with all necessary homemaking supplies. Smooth cooktop and microwave were easy to use and used often for breakfast and dinner, eaten at the table overlooking Paris. Doesn't get much better than that. The washer/dryer were compact and "a challenge," but did the job. Location is truly perfection. One block from brand new entrance to Les Halles Metro with dozens of shops, and 1 1/2 block from another metro stop... although we walked to anything within 1 1/2 miles of the apt.. Another super-plus: the streets six floors below us were closed to traffic, and outdoor restaurants were everywhere....under trees!!! There are many markets within blocks of this place as well as incredible variety of inexpensive, and good, sandwiches, pizza and international foods. Across the street was a typical outdoor cafe, which served a huge bowl of muscles with glass of beer for 14.5 Euros for lunch. That was a special! Really good! Restaurants/bistrots were expensive (we treated ourselves to one highly-recommended mid-range price restaurant - Aux Triouis Petits Cochons - and paid 100 Euros, which included a bottle of their least expensive wine.) The meal was worth ever Euro! But MacDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut and Subway are within a couple of blocks..and all over Paris. We tried the Flunch cafeteria, which was very reasonable. Don't miss the experience. We enjoyed this apartment and its super-helpful owner, Paul, so much that we plan to return each year for another Parisian adventure.

The perfect location. It's small, but real estate in this area is expensive. Everything works as advertised: Internet works, TV works, Elevator works, Kitchen works, the phone works--and is free for LD calls. Everything is supplied. Common areas as well as the flat are clean. This flat is 100 meters from Les Halles--the entrance to RER and the Metro to take you anywhere in Paris from virutally your doorstep. The owner is most gracious and well versed in the area. Good list of area restaurants is supplied. The flat is on a pedestrian area, so although Parisians know how to party, there is no traffic noise. The owner will supply you with directions for your taxi driver to deliver you appropriately. But, alternatively, if you arrive @ CDG, take the RER from CDG to Les Halles. Great place to stay in the heart of Paris.

We arrived yesterday at 11:00am, Rodolf, the housekeeper, greeted and provided us with all the necessary information about the flat and its surrounding. The flat was super clean, inviting and cozy. The AC and the elevator are a definite bonus! The location is ideal, we could not asked for a better place. Paul is very professional and quickly responds to all e-mails and last minute questions. Financial transaction went flawlessly. Overall, excellent place to stay. We had reservation about booking a flat online considering it was not a Hotel but the financial transaction was easy, Rodolf was there to greet us , Paul made this an pleasant experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cozy, quiet, central spot near metro/RER, cafes, shops, museums and everything fabulous that is Paris. I would recommend this spot to either the first-time visitor or those more seasoned travelers. Paul was so easy to deal with; Kanthi met us at the apartment and got us settled in. We felt at home right away and hope to return.

Dear Paul, I regret that I will not be able to travel to Paris this year. The three months I stayed in your apartment last fall were perfect. The location on a predestrian street is ideal...with easy access to grocery/pharmacy/etc stores one needs to live for three months. I never felt unsafe in this area...this is important to a senior female. The apartment had everything I needed to make it my home away from home...elevator, washer/dryer, windows in every room and I miss that big bathtub. I will miss seeing you again this year but I do have plans for next year....will let you know later when to reserve "my" apartment. Thank you for your kindness in making my trip very special. Best regards.

Hey Paul, We are ready to leave tomorrow and just wanted to write to you to say that we had a great time in Paris and enjoyed staying at the flat. The location was great for seeing everything in Paris. Definitely a colorful area! Thanks again for the wine and arranging for the taxi. Maybe we will see you again sometime. April, 2009 This is a very nice, clean, remodeled place on a pedestrian only street. Downstairs there are 3 outdoor restaurants and a Metro station is about 100 yds away. Notre Dame and the Louvre are within walking distance. The unit is a 1 bedroom with a sofa sleeper that took care of my wife and I and two teenage daughters. This is a no brainer decision. Paul is very helpful and trustworthy. I believe we wired the money directly into his account. Have fun Norval Prakash NorPrakash aol com

The best compliment was perhaps that everything was as you described it on the internet. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Hope to be back. guest name: G. We stayed in the apartment for the entire month of July, 2008 and loved it! Comfy bed, nice breezes when windows are open, views over the rooftops of Paris and of the sunset. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Nice and quiet on a walking street. Across the street from Flunch which is quick, tasty and inexpensive and Paul, a patisserie where you can get warm pain au chocolat and brioche every morning. A pleasant walk to Notre Dame and the Louvre. Very close to the Fountain of the Innocents, Rue Montorgueil and St Eustache. Paulus was always helpful when we needed him, and even gave us some language tips. There are some really nice guidebooks in the apartment. Free phone calls to the USA, and a computer for free highspeed internet access. All in all, it was the greatest!!! Ooooh la la!

We had a lovely four nights staying in Paul's flat. It was perfect for us, up high and comfortable and well-located. The food shops along rue Montorgueil were a great find, as was the 50-meter swimming pool in Forum les Halles.

My wife and I stayed for two weeks in August 2008. Temperatures were mild, but we appreciated the air conditioning. Paul greeted us at the apartment and provided an orientation. Apartment was clean and nicely furnished. Location is perfect. A lot of stores, restaurants, and sightseeing nearby. Metro station Les Halles is 5 min walk. Short hop to Chatelet station which is the Paris transportation hub equivalent to New York's Time Square/Grand Central station. Would definitely stay there again. For 1.60 euros you can travel to any Metro station in Paris. However be very aware of pickpockets on the Metro, and I never saw a police officer on a station platform or on a train. Phone can be used for free calls to USA land line numbers, but calls to cell phone numbers are not free according to Paul so we never tried calling a cell phone number.

I can truly say that after traveling around the world several times that my 50th birthday in Paris was my best vacation ever. Your apartment was perfect. The perfect location, the perfect BIG bed, the perfect high speed internet which allowed me to get my work done in a very short amount of time with no problems, the perfect friendly neighborhood, the perfect bistros with fabulous food and drink, the perfect RER station 1 minute away, the perfect gorgeous view of elegant rooftops, trees, birds singing, music playing, and we can't wait to come back! We loved your city and your air conditioned, artsy, comfy apartment and your fantastic ELEVATOR!!! We just had an incredible time and thank you for lovely accomodations!

This is a very comfortable, clean apartment in a convenient location. Right next to a RER station. Up the escalators to Lescot, turn left, and you are there. If you arrive via Orly airport use a cab as Paul recommends. De Gaulle is an easy connection via RER "B" with escalators to get to the street. The apartment is clean and my wife who has a nose sensitive to these things, said it even smelled clean. The bed is comfy. Many places to choose from for dining. If you are tired there are several just outside the door. On a couple of nights we enjoyed the neighborhood around St. Severin church. Lots of choices and lots of people. We would stay here again.

I had a wonderful time staying in this very roomy and attractive flat for a week - it is a great combination of old world charm, such as the exposed brickwork and the view of the rooftops of Paris and Sacre Coeur, and modern conveniences, such as the elevator and air conditioning. The latter was particularly helpful since I stayed during one of the hottest weeks of the summer and couldn't have slept without it. The location is also excellent, near a major Metro and RER line and walking distance to many stores, bars, restaurants and attractions. I particularly recommend the nearby Fortress of St. Jean Sans Peur, which gives a fascinating insight into Paris' forgotten medieval history as a walled city. Hosts Paulus and Hamid are always happy to provide assistance and suggestions on places to visit and things to do. Anyone staying for more than one or two days will find it far more comfortable than a cramped hotel room.

Dear Paul, This flat was heavenly. The location is perfect! You cannot be more central in Paris, while the building is quiet and secure. Also we felt "on top of the world" with such pretty views on Paris sights and square below. We were very comfortable also thanks to luxuries like a modern bathroom, internet, flat- screen tv-dvd etc. We won't hesitate to recommend your flat to anyone. Hopefully back in the near future. Tim & fam.
