You have found the ultimate place for a wonderful, relaxing vacation! Located in Sanibel Harbour Resort, our 1,603 square foot luxury second floor condominium has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is equipped with everything you need to enjoy your vacation. The extra-large private lanai wraps around two sides of the unit and offers beautiful views of the bay and Sanibel and Captiva Islands. There is a breathtaking sunset every night. At dusk, watch for manatees, dolphins and other wildlife right from the lanai. The condo is our second home, and we want our guests to enjoy our fabulous retreat as much as we do!
As you walk in the door of the unit, the first thing you will see is the gorgeous view through the floor to ceiling sliding glass doors to the lanai. You will spend many relaxing mornings on the lanai with your coffee, and many relaxing evenings with your favorite evening cocktail. The kitchen and living area are combined into one large room with views all around. The kitchen was completely remodeled in fall of 2007 and is fully equipped with all large appliances, coffeepot, blender, toaster, dishes, and the like. There is also a full size washer and dryer for your use. The living area has a pull-out couch that sleeps two, a loveseat, tv, dvd, vcr, and stereo/cd player. You will find family games and area brochures in the coffee table. The unit has wireless high speed DSL internet available at no extra cost.
The master bedroom comes equipped with a king size bed, private bath, private entrance to the lanai, tv, stereo/cd player, and alarm clock. The second bedroom has two twin beds (that can be pushed together), tv, and alarm clock. Both bedrooms have plenty of closet and drawer space for you to unpack your swimsuits! The guest bedroom closet also holds an iron and ironing board, and a portable crib. If you plan to make a day on Sanibel at the beach, you will also find some folding chairs in the closet.
Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa offers the best of Sanibel Island without all the congestion and traffic. Situated on a private peninsula, the Resort is set on 100 lush, tropical acres of unspoiled San Carlos Bay waterfront, just off the Gulf of Mexico. And, although our owner offered rates are much less pricey, Travel & Leisure rated the resort in the top 10 for both categories of “Continental United States & Canada” and, “in the world” for overnight visit costs of over $300.00. On-site eateries range from the convenient deli, to the very casual pool-side Pelican Snackerrie, to the elegant, award winning gourmet restaurant, The Banyon Room. The Tarpon House offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, all served while you are gazing out over water fountains splashing into an oversized pool, surrounded by palm trees, and overlooking the bay. For one of the best meals anywhere in Southwest Florida, walk over by the tennis courts and order any entrée at the Courtside Steakhouse. Make sure to go to the Courtside every Wednesday night for Crab Races! You can catch your favorite NFL, NBA, NHL or other game there anytime on one of the many televisions.
Resort offered, on-site amenities are too numerous to mention, but include a private beach, hot tubs, heated pools, Kids Klub, pool-side bar, Charley’s Cabana Bar with entertainment, sports bar, lighted tennis courts, pro-shop, jogging and nature trails, a newly renovated 40,000 SF ultra-modern spa and fitness center (must make use of a spa service for daily access, such as massage, facials, manicures, etc.), fishing pier, dinner and/or sunset cruises, Sunday Brunch cruises, daytime sight seeing excursions, boat and kayak rentals, marine facilities, and more!

My name is Shannon. I live in Hudson, WI. We purchased our condo back in 2002 as an investment and a future retirement spot. Of course, we enjoy getting down to the condo as much as possible in the winter months! I am the mother of a 17 year old daughter and have been married to my husband for 25 years. In addition to managing my rental business, I design and program websites.
Why the Owner Chose Other Sanibel Island Properties
My condo is right before you cross the bridge to Sanibel Island, not on the Island itself. You just have to cross the bridge to get to Sanibel. BUT, I feel this is a much better location. Before we bought our unit, we stayed at a number of different resorts on the island. You really feel like you are kind of stuck out there. Groceries cost way more than they should, and traffic is terrible. Most of the resorts have beach access, but the beach is actually a bit of a walk and the resorts we stayed it did not provide beach chairs. My resort has the beach just out the door (with lounge chairs), and you can see it from the lanai. I love to sit on the lanai and watch the boats and the dolphins. I am in the “middle” of everything. I can go to Sanibel and see what there is to see if I want, or I can go to Fort Myers Beach and check out the sites there. Sanibel and Fort Myers Beach are very different. Sanibel is very quiet – most places are closed by 9 or 10 at night, and there is really no where to eat right on the beach. Fort Myers Beach has lots of shopping and bars and restaurants right on the beach. There is usually some sort of street show in the square. It’s a lot more active. Also, if you don’t feel like doing anything at all, you can just hang at the resort and have everything you need. There are restaurants and bars. The pools all have beach/water views. It is a first class resort and the nicest in the area. There is also a Publix grocery store and outlet mall just two miles away. After years of experience with the area, we decided we did not want to buy anything right on the island and fell in love with our resort.
Of course this is just my opinion. But, I have had many previous guests think they would rather be on the island that found that they absolutely loved my resort and my condo. Many have been repeat guests.

This is just the most relaxing and luxurious place to stay! Every guest I have had over the years loves it. I get many repeat guests.

Hi Shannon, We had a perfect time in your condo! Right now I am on my way to Mexico City. Therefore I am not in a position to fill out the comments online in your guestbook. I would appreciate if you could enter our comments on our behalf. We stayed in your condo from August 9TH to August 15TH. Prior to our arrival we had visited New York (three days) and Orlando (another three days). From there we went to Miami Beach, Key West and we had a last stop in the Everglades before arriving to Sanibel Harbour Resort. As you can imagine we were kind of tired upon arrival in your condo. As we had hoped we were able to relax during the stay at your condo. It is absolutely a magnificent place. Well located (we could see dolphins every night at sunset) and extremely comfortable (your lanai is something!). Also the idea of being able to use the resort facilities is perfect. If you want you can enjoy it and if you do not want you can enjoy the peaceful moments in and around the condo. We hope to be back in the near future. Upon arrival back in The Netherlands we have started to spread the news about your wonderful condo.
