Location was excellent! Right next to bio bay and El Yunque rainforest. Private beach was beautiful. The resort complex was clean, organized, beautifully landscaped. I could tell the residents and management take pride in their complex. Resort is right down the street from the Wyndham where we frequented for restaurant dinning and water sports. Abby had everything you could need available inside her condo. She made us feel welcomed with a little gift :-) The patio and hammock was so nice to layout or take a nap on. My new wife and I really enjoyed our honeymoon stay. The condo is beautiful, spacious, nicely decorated, comfortable, immaculately clean, and in the perfect location for exploring the eastern half of the island. It is ideally located for trips to the rainforest, the bio bay in Farjardo, Las Cabezas de San Juan Nature Reserve, and nearby beaches including the very nice beach on the property about 100 yards away from the front door. It is also close enough to San Juan for easy day trips. The balcony is huge and provides an ocean view along with many chairs and a hammock (our favorite) to enjoy the ocean breeze and the sounds of crashing waves off in the distance. We made good use of the washer/dryer and the complimentary wi-fi internet access. The kitchen is large and fully stocked if you want to cook, but we wanted to eat out and enjoy the local foods. We highly recommend La Parilla at the Luquillo kioscas (excellent Mofongo and Pork Medallions), La Familia Bakery and Sandwich Shop (yummy Cuban Sandwich), and El Varadero Seaside Grill (looks like a shack at the marina but great food, drinks, and the best/friendliest service we've had anywhere in a long time). All get high ranks on Yelp as well. Abby worked with us to accommodate our late night arrival around midnight. And, when I got sick the day we were supposed to fly to Puerto Rico, Abby graciously allowed us to arrive one day late and stay one day later than originally planned. This was the perfect Spring Break getaway for our family- peaceful and relaxing. Foremost we loved the secluded beach that was mere steps from the apartment. Our host Abby was warm, welcoming, and (albeit, not needed) available. The apartment was immaculate and truly had all the comforts to make you feel like you were staying in a "home away" from home. The complex was absolutely safe (well monitored by security) and maintained by continuously working landscapers. Being located near El Yunque Forest and several bioluminescent bay tours, we were able to enjoy Puerto Rico without leaving "our" beach for too long. We just returned from an eight day stay in PR and it was wonderful. Abby is a gracious host. She timed our arrival perfectly and called us as we were picking up our car. The directions were accurate and we arrived with no problems. Abby greeted us with a hug and a smile and we immediately felt happy with our decision. After giving us the tour, Abby patiently waited to answer our questions. There was plenty of room for my family of 4 to not get grumpy. I believe the unit is 1400sf. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you will need. The "L" shaped balcony has a gas grill, view of the ocean, a hammock for relaxing and lots of chairs for lounging. The living room has futons that we were all fond of and enjoyed. Every bed was comfy and we slept well. Our second home, the beach, was a short walk. I was comfortable allowing my teens to enjoy the waves without me being there since it was so close. The location allowed us to enjoy El Yunque several times. I was able to take the kids ziplining in El Yunque and drop my husband off at Trump International for a round with no problems because it was close by. We went back to San Juan once before we left to tour Old San Juan and that was nice. The majority of our time was spent in the area. We visited the Kiosks in Luquillo based on reviews and Karla at the Carribean Connection Gift Shop recommending it. One visit was enough. There's a vendor at the condo on the weekends that sells the same food items as the kiosk. You can get the same food in a nicer setting. Thank you Abby for sharing your condo.
