This beautiful new home nestles up to a grove of evergreens high on a hill, overlooking the Tillamook Bay and Pacific Ocean. There are expansive views of the bay and ocean from nearly every room in the house. Wildlife, including dear and sometimes bald eagles are seen daily.
This home is ideal for one or more families. Two of the three bedrooms are master suites, each with a king size bed, a long window seat facing the water, doors to a deck, and a private bathroom with double sinks. One bedroom has a roman tub and large, walk-in tile shower. The third bedroom with two twin beds and a full-sized futon is directly off the family room which is equipped with lots of comfortable seating, a flat screen TV, a DVD player and an extensive library of movie/shows, and a stereo. A third full bath with double sinks and shower are close-by.
On the top floor is a more formal living area (complete with gas fireplace) that is open to the dining room & gourmet kitchen where adults can enjoy a glass of wine and chat listening to music while the kids play games or watch movies on the main floor. There is seating for six at the dining room table and additional seating for two at the bar counter. The kitchen is well equipped, including all new stainless steel appliances, microwave, toaster oven, tea kettle, and coffee maker, grinder and beans. Lots of pots, pans, baking dishes and utensils are available. There is also a 5 burner gas grill on the upper deck. There is a half-bath and den off the open living space.
This home has stairs: one flight to enter the first floor living space, and a second flight to the kitchen, dining room and other living space. Bedrooms are located on both floors.
The house has lots of board games, a foosball table, a Bowflex, a pullup bar, kites and toys. The home is all hardwood, with area rugs in the living/family rooms. We encourage shoeless living in the house.
If you enjoy fishing, you will have a grand time! There are charters out of nearby Garabaldi for fishing in the bay or ocean. There are also five rivers that spill into the bay, several well known for salmon fishing. Hiking is close-by in the coastal range and Tillamook forest and several nice beaches are within minutes by car. If you enjoy shopping, Seaside is north, Lincoln City is to the south. If golf is your game, the Gearhart Golf Course (the oldest course in the NW), and Alderbridge in Tillamook are very close.

This vacation home in Bay City was lovely. Views of the bay were amazing and the house is beautifully appointed and maintained. Everything our family of 3 needed or wanted was there for us. The neighborhood was quiet and there was access to back roads for running from the house. We hadn't stayed at this part of the coast before and enjoyed using the abundant travel info provided to plan day trips. Cape Lookout is amazing. We hadn't been to Blue Heron Cheese before and recommend it - nice deli and sandwiches in addition to wine and cheese tasting. The owners were great too - didn't need to contact them during our stay as they had provided all the information we needed. We highly recommend this property!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We had a fabulous time at the coast for a family crabbing weekend. This was a beautiful home but I would avoid it if you have elderly parents who find it difficult to repeatedly go up/down stairs. I would also avoid it if there is a Ducks or Beaver Game you wish to watch on TV as there is no TV reception! They do however have a fabulous selection of DVD's to watch. All in all everyone had a great time. I would highly recommend this property if you are ok with the above two items. Dean was extremely easy and professional to work with too!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children.

This house is beautiful, tastefully decorated,clean, and very private. High on the hill overlooking the bay (sunset at night is spectacular), there are few neighbors nearby so the only sound is the surf from the bay. The natural light from skylights is wonderful!! The owner was very helpful and was available if needed. Plenty of room and privacy with two master suites!! Just a few minutes to all the best activities ... the beach, wine tasting, hiking trails, golf, hourseback riding, and Tillimook cheeze and ice cream factory!!! I plan to return next year for another perfect escape!! We loved our stay in this beautiful home. The layout with two masters and two family rooms was perfect for our family of five plus 2 grandparents. We had loads of space to unwind after great outings along the coast. This is a completely car dependent location, but the trade off was worth it to have such a well appointed lovely retreat. The view is amazing, so calming. A silly extra detail.... If you are tall you will love this house all the more for its high ceilings, high master shower and big soaking tub! Only caution: there are lots of stairs and a rocky driveway, so any one with difficulties with stairs or uneven surfaces should choose elsewhere.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

Dean, Thank you so much for opening up your home to our family! You place is amazing! The home was very clean and had a really comfotable feel! I will be honest at first we were dissapointed that there was no cable or WIFI, but this truly turned out to be a very good thing as it allowed us to have very much needed family time! Your movie selection was incredilbe so we were able to find movies that our whole family could enjoy!!! We hope to return again next summer!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We stayed a week at the house with my family: 2 couples and 3 children in all. The house was lovely, and we greatly appreciated the quiet setting. The kitchen was well outfitted for our needs, and the beds were comfortable. We loved that Pacific Oyster was right across the street (we ate there for lunch every day!) and that Fred Meyer was close enough to load up the pantry. Two living areas were great, as the kids could play downstairs while the adults could read or rest upstairs. The nearby beaches were great too! All in all, this is a perfect house if you need rest and comfort and are not interested in the hustle and bustle of the tourist towns farther north. We will be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Have a great vacation! RENTAL RULES AND REGULATIONS Bay City house: Phone #971-404-7834 1. CHECK-IN TIME IS After 4 P.M. and CHECK-OUT Is 10 A.M. Often other renters are leaving/coming. Also, the housekeeper relies on these times to schedule her cleaning. There is no early check-in/check-out time. 2. This is a Non-smoking house. 3. Pets are not permitted in the house or garage under any conditions. Driving or parking in the garage is also not permitted. That space has been converted into a game/work out room. Violating these rules may result in the forfeiture of your entire deposit. 4. We will not rent to vacationing students or singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent. 5. DAMAGE/RESERVATION DEPOSIT- A damage/reservation deposit of $200 is required. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (14) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met. a. No damage is done to the property or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear rendered during the stay. b. All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in dumpster, and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned. One load of laundry is started. c. All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure. d. No linens are lost or damaged. e. No Early check-in or late check-out. f. No Pets were on the premise. g. The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner), or the local law enforcement. h. Motor vehicles were not driven or parked in the garage. 1. PAYMENT - Payment is due upon booking confirmation. All major credit cards are accepted. 2. CANCELLATIONS - A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full payment minus damage/reservation deposit. If a renter is found for the cancelled dates, the rental payment will be refunded minus any difference in collected rent. Why the Owner Chose Bay City:
We chose this location for many reasons. In some ways, you feel like you are in the forest, but you are at the coast. We also love the small town of Bay City (pop. 400). Folks are friendly. You can walk to local diners, a small grocer, a public library, a park with a creek flowing to the bay, and an art gallery. Tillamook is only 5 miles south, Garibaldi and Rockaway a few miles farther north. It is quite and peaceful and very beautiful.

This home has 54 windows on the second floor alone. Nearly every room has a spectacular view. You will enjoy the outdoors in luxury! Cozy up to the fireplace, while watching white caps on the bay. Curl up with a soft blanket and read a book sitting on one of the window seats while the rain pours down. Grab the kites and head to the very quite beach on the jetty for the afternoon. Or head out to hike one of the dozens of trails in the mountains nearby. Grab (or catch) some fresh seafood on your way back and cook up a storm back at the house.
