Very Spacious 5 Bdrm Log Home on River, Huge Logs, 8 Acres, Convenient
- Minimum stay:N/A
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:Yes
This is a very spacious 5 bedroom, 3 full bath, 4,000 square foot log home built with very large and unique Montana logs. The home is much larger than the photos reflect. Kitchen is currently under remodel and will have new counters, cabinets, appliances, flooring and I will have a photo of this on the site as soon as it is completed. It will be very nice with all up to date amenities and a beautiful natural slate floor. The recently remodeled basement has a lot of wood accent and a very nice in-floor heating system for the cold winter months. The basement is wonderfully cool on those hot summer days as well! There is a very large maintained grass yard with a volleyball net, room for plenty of games or just enjoying the serenity of the river setting. It is a great location for a family gathering. It is in a quiet area, minimal traffic on the road, and the surrounding properties consist of hay fields, an elk farm, the river and trees.
The Bedroom/Sleeping Layout of the Home:
1 Bedroom upstairs with King sized bed
1 Bedroom downstairs with King sized bed
1 Bedroom on Main Level with Queen sized bed
1 Bedroom on Main Level with Full sized bed
1 Bedroom downstairs with Full sized bed
Extra sleeping accommodations:
1 Queen Hide-a-Bed (sleeps 2)
1 Futon (can sleep 2 children)
Pack-n-plays upon request
The kitchen, dining area, living area, 2 full baths and fireplace are all on the main level along with 2 bedrooms. One of these bedrooms has a full bathroom attached. There is a very large loft with a king sized bed up above and a balcony that extends outside which overlooks the river. The basement has another 2 bedrooms, a large TV area, a small bar, a full bath and full laundry facilities. The dining area shows 8 seats, but there are additional chairs and six bar stools at kitchen counter. It is a very cozy home and much more spacious than it looks from the outside. Very comfortable with 12 + people. You can combine this with vrbo #322308, which adjoins to the back side of this property for a family gathering that can sleep up to 24 people. The home is well stocked with all basic needs for your convenience; bathroom necessities, linens, towels, soaps, laundry detergent, basic cooking needs, spices, games. Most everything is here to make it flow smooth for your stay. There are not many log homes around that are built with logs the size of these! The yard is very large and is watered and mowed on a regular basis. There is ample parking available with a round about in the driveway. The home sits on 8 acres and has a very nice private setting along side the Stillwater River which runs right behind the home. This is an authentic Montana Log Home! It is a 34 mile drive to the west entrance of
Glacier National Park from this vacation home. The home is located 5 miles off Hwy 93 and right between Whitefish and Kalispell. It is just 15 minutes from a major shopping center which includes a Costco, many restaurants, retail stores, a movie theatre and other services. You are also just 15 minutes away from the
City of Whitefish and the night life there as well, but you will definitely have a wonderful quiet country setting at the Stillwater Log Home.

For weeks I'd been searching for "the perfect" property to rent for a retreat I was hosting. Living locally, I thought I knew all the sweet spots in the Flathead Valley, the Stillwater Vacation Rental proved me wrong! Upon arriving Jennie greeted me and took me on a tour of the house. I was blown away! Pictures aren't able to capture the size, comfort, or feeling of the house, it is wonderful!! The home is spacious, immaculately kept, and fitted our needs perfectly. Jennie was a wonderful resource as she showed me around the home, and no details were missed. The kitchen had everything we needed. The pantry was well stocked with paper products, baggies, etc and the overall feeling of the house and property was one of comfort, relaxation and plenty of space to be together, or find some quiet time alone. Over the course of the weekend we were able to enjoy the home, the beautiful (and extremely well kept) lawn, and best of all-the river! The Stillwater River flows right by the home. It was a delight to walk outside, be greeted by the calls of birds, and go down to the river. We even had time to enjoy the canoes that Jennie graciously offered up for our use. Overall I was extremely happy with the Rental Property and immediately thought how much fun it'd be to have my family out for a week to stay. If you are thinking about staying here, I highly recommend it!! The closeness to town, and the quiet of the country, with star filled nights, makes this property a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy Montana!! Thanks so much Jennie for your hospitality and to your brother for opening up his home for us to enjoy!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We just returned from a week long stay at the Stillwater log cabin, and we were very impressed with our accommodations! Jennie did a wonderful job of communicating with us before and during the trip. The home appeared small as we drove up, but once inside we were amazed at the amount of space for our group of 13. The interior was very clean and beautifully decorated. The home was also well stocked with tolietries and kitchen items. The kids really enjoyed the badminton and croquet each night. We highly recommend this home!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We very much enjoyed our time here. The property is right on the Stillwater River which allowed for swimming and fishing. The property has a nice big lawn for our children to play and run. The home is very spacious and had plenty of room for the 12 of us. Jennie was a pleasure to deal with and kept us informed about nearby activities. The property is clean and well maintained. In short we enjoyed our vacation very much and would not hesitate to return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Wonderful house that was COMPLETELY equiped ( including bug spray, paper towels, baggies, smaill cooler, etc.) and spotless!! Had stopped by store on the way in to get "essentails" but found they were already supplied. The accomodationa were perfect and the yard was just the spot for "vicious" badmitten and croquet tournaments. We just had a blast!! Jennie was the best host anyone could ask for.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We rented this home for a 65th birthday celebration involving four families and three dogs. Jennie was extremely accommodating and we were all very impressed with the amount of room and amenities in the house and on the property. The kitchen is a little dated, but the home is extremely spacious and cozy and our dogs loved it too! The pictures really don't show all the features. Fantastic location in between Whitefish and Kalispell and we will be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, families with young children.

This property more than exceeded or expectations. The Owners were quick to respond to our original inquiry and made the arrangements quickly and with no hassle. The property was perfect to get away from busy & noisy and with the huge lawn there was lots of room for outside activities. The Log Home is beautiful and their is so much room in this home, the pictures in the listing do not do this home justice for its size and beauty.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

The house was spacious, clean, comfortable, and well stocked with all house hold supplies and even shampoo and conditioners. The kids just loved the rustic feel of the first log house they've ever lived in. Lots of thanks to Jennie, the landlord,. She sent us all the pertinent information about the house and local activites before we arrived to make sure we had a good time. Her hospitality and kindness gave us even a more memorable experience with the place and Montana. We especially enjoyed the surprise visit of a lovely family of deers on a quiet afternoon. We strongly recommend this place for any kind of vacation.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers.
