Baffin Bay Palms Cottage is new, fully furnished and ideal for a vacation full of activity or one of leisurely relaxation. The red and black drum and trout fishing is touted as the best in the USA . The 300 ft lighted pier has a cleaning table and built in benches at the T-head. Share a drink with your loved ones at the covered porch while reading or watching the big variety of birds, and the extensive flowering plants and fruit trees or vegetable garden or goats. The pool is located in front of the owners' home on the way to the pier. The Leo Kaufer Park and the bird nest is walking distance and the best seafood restaurants in South Texas are down the road. Hunting and photography are ideal activities in Riviera. The King Ranch, Texas A&M University at Kingsville and the Kingsville Naval Air Station are area attractions. Corpus Christi and Padre Island are 50 miles north and South Padre Island and the US Mexico border is under 140 miles south. WHAT A RELAXING TIME WE HAD.WOW THE FISHING WAS THE BEST WE EVER HAD. ONE NIGHT UNDER THE LIGHTS & A FULL MOON. WE CAUGHT SO MANY SPECS OUR ARMS GOT TIRED THE BAD NEWS WAS THEY WERE ALL UNDER SIZE (11-14 IN.) BUT YOU WONT FIND US COMPLAINING. (LOL)WHEN WE GO BACK WERE STAYING LONGER.Recommended for: Age 55+.

We spent 5 days at this cabin and enjoyed 5 days of relaxing and my husband fished until he could not fish any longer. You can just hang out here and relax. Consuela and Salvador are the sweetest people ever, and go out of their way to make you feel at home. We will be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

We had a wonderful time at your place this past weekend. Our children enjoyed fishing from the pier in the evenings and checking the crab traps. They really enjoyed you showing them how to clean the crabs so that we could cook them at home. Our boys had fun in the pool while I read a book, and we all enjoyed the beautiful scenery. King's Inn is one of our favorite places to eat, and it never disappoints. Thank you for a wonderful stay!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

About the owner: Salvador and I are both managers for this property. I was born and educated in Kingsville and until I retired, I was a homemaking teacher and Texas School Counselor for 35 years-working in South San in San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, Galena Park, Kingsville, and Brooks County. After I retired, I continued helping families and kids, working with Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, CPS . Salvador still works Kingsville ISD in maintainence in the evenings. He and I work and play well together on this property. We both love living at Baffin Bay and enjoy sharing our little piece of paradise.
Why the Owner Chose Riviera Beach:
While working in San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, I always knew that I would come home to retire and Baffin Bay was my family's favorite place to play when I was young. This was the only place I would even consider buying for an enjoyable retirement.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
This property has a way of allowing purposefulness through the fishing and crabing, creativity and self expression through the flowering plants and trees. Self reliance through the vegetable garden and fruit trees. Love of life through the goats and fish in the pond and the multitude of beautiful birds. We both stay healthy and connected to the community by walking everyday. Salvador walks our Lab/Rotty/Ridgeback in the mornings and I usually walk to the Leo Kaufer Park in late afternoon.
