We really enjoyed this place! Our strategy in PV was spend a few days near the Malecon, then a few days somewhere more peaceful...this was one of our peaceful places. I recommend walking north to Blanca Blue (beachside restaurant) as well as south to the next complex's beachside restaurant (don't recall the name). Thanks for the great stay!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay was entirely wonderful. The condo is lovely, the view is expansive, the owners are accomodating and personable. We immediately felt at home and settled in for a month of exploring new towns, new restaurants and old familiar haunts. We hope to return to PV in general and to this condo in particular. Thank you Bob & Jeri.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Puerto Vallarta is one of the most special places in Mexico to be. The people are "diffent", really concerned about pleasing their visitors. And, if you're going there, you might as well have a super place to stay. Bob and Jerri's condo is it. What a penthouse with about every emenity you could want. Sit on the outside balconies and watch whales, dolphins, yachts and water taxis on the largest, deep waterPacific bay in all the Americas. There are spotter scopes and binoculars to use. A completly modern kitchen, A/C's --- just about everything we could think we wanted. It's got to be at least 1,300 square feet. Open, spacious with a dome (with windows on it's side) above the dining room table about 25' feet in the air. Washer and dryer. Everything to make you feel relaxed in a tropical Mexican atmosphere. Enjoy your stay. We sure did and will be returning as soon as we can.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We were expecting something smaller from the photos and were delighted by the great sense of space. Two of the bedrooms are huge and the third is a good size. It feels like a home, with every amenity that you can imagine, including picnic baskets, coolers, reliable high speed, plenty of beach towels...I could go on and on. Jeri's and Bob's friend met us with the key when we arrived and made us feel very welcome. The apartment feels extremely safe. The pool was divine and not crowded at all, even though it was still Christmas holiday season in Mexico. The beach had pale sand, finer than other places that we've been near by. Although we had rented a car, I also took the bus into Vallarta one day. It was a quick trip and very simple. Jeri had left extensive instructions on everything from "how to take the bus" to "how to choose street food", the latter which led us to one of the best meals we had in Vallarta. Thanks, Jeri and Bob. We hope to get back soon.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The condo is beautiful & well-maintained. The view & access to the beach are unbeatable. Bus transportation is available to go into Puerto Vallarta for shopping & dining & there are many tourist attractions close by. I recommend this to everyone I know & I will stay there again, any time!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This condo was amazing! My jaw dropped as I walked in: from the great kitchen setup, to the many rooms to choose from, to the proth with the views of the sunset. My family enjoyed cooking breakfast, walking down to the beach and taking a dip in the pool. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay for another week, I would definitely recommend this clean and modern condo with friendly staff to any other family or couple who wants a fabulous Mexican vacation. I felt safe the entire time we were in PV - they do a very nice job of keeping the entire town clean and safe for tourists (as they depend on this for their livelyhood).Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Los Muertos Beach View on map
Large, busy beach hangout. There are many restaurants along this area with chairs and umbrellas. You can sit anywhere, but are expected to eat/drink from that restaurant. There are many beach vendors, the swimming is marginal, but the people watching is fantastic. It is a fun, different way to spend an afternoon.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1998
About the owner: We are retired, with a son in high school and a grown daughter. We enjoy jet boating, motorcycle racing, snow skiing, classic cars, and playing with our two dogs.
Why the Owner Chose South Zone:
Our family is Montana-born, but we just love the warm weather, beach and ocean that Puerto Vallarta provides. Our son was young when we began visiting PV, and it was such a great place for our family to spend time together. We actually lived in PV for 2 years while our son attended kindergarten and first grade there. We love a lot of things about PV....there are great restaurants, fun shopping, beach activities. We love some of the outer areas such as Nuevo Vallarta, Sayulita, and Punta Mita. After a day of these various activities, it is great to come home to our condo, which is located a short distance from the busyness of town, on a quiet beach that is relaxing and peaceful.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The best aspect of Casa Perro is its location on a beautiful, mostly private beach and a fantastic view of the ocean. We enjoy beginning each morning with a cup of coffee, out on the balcony, watching for whales and seeing the local fisherman pulling in their nets. We usually end the day in the same place with a glass of wine, watching the sunset over the ocean and the fireworks from town. Our beach is furnished with palapas and lounge chairs. The pool area is large, also with lounge chairs and tables. The beach is white sand, accented by boulders. Snorkeling is good. The condo is only a few miles from Old Town Vallarta, is a quick taxi ride or bus ride to town, and these are both available on the main road which is a 3 minute walk from our building. Old Town is our favorite part of town and is loaded with restaurants, shopping, clubs, and beaches. The streets and architecture remain old Mexican style. Very charming!
