Welcome to our favorite spot! This is a one bedroom Condos near Kapaa on the island of Kauai. The unit can sleep six but four is more comfortable. It has two double beds in the bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room. Full kitchen, all appliances (including a blender for those great tropical drinks), dishes, linens etc.
The unit has a computer with local internet access as well as a fax machine, two TVs and a stereo, DVD and CD player. We also leave beach towels, flashlights, snorkles, fins, boogie boards, foam coolers and beach mats for your use. So far our guests seem good about leaving them for the next person and even add to the collection! There are gas BBQs by the pool. All you need are your shorts, flipflops and a smile!
We have a two night minimum and a $100.00 cleaning fee and the Hawiian room tax. These ground floor units are located about 300 feet from the beach across a grass field with a sidewalk leading from the unit to the beach. The beach pictures are taken from the end of the sidewalk looking North and South. As you can see the beach is very quiet and uncrowded.
This is about as crowded as it gets. The property is located in Kapaa, about eight miles North of the airport at Lihue. It is next to the Coconut Plantation Marketplace for those of you familiar with the island. The main road around Kauai is shaped like a horseshoe with no roads on the north shore. We are located in the center of the horseshoe, equal distances to the end of the road in both directions.
You can fish, swim and snorkel at the beach out front or go body surfing, boogie boarding, kayaking and water-skiing or golfing a short drive away. There is also plenty of shopping close at hand. Gift shops and art galleries abound with lots of fun little restaurants in Kapaa town. Don't miss the farmer's market with fresh fruit and produce at bargain prices. Wow, we really enjoyed our trip to Kauai! Your condo is in the perfect location, able to go North or South easily, and the beach there in Kapa'a is really nice and not crowded! We really appreciated all of the extras left in the room, we were able to make use of the water shoes and snorkel gear, so helpful! We had an action packed 8 days and loved every minute of it. I wanted a place to take my mother, for her first trip to Hawaii, and this was perfect. Morning on the lanai, snorkeling all day, and dinner on the lanai. It is only a short walk to the ocean and the views are perfect. The kitchen is well stocked, the shower is huge, and the beds are super comfortable. The stock of boogie board, noodles, beach gear, and snorkel gear was a wonderful addition. I would Recommend using Holo tours and the "Forbidden Island" tour is the best. The only downfall, we found, is that you cannot take any drinks to the pool. This is a problem because it gets hot during the day and we wanted to stay hydrated. I am planning a trip, next fall, and would be happy to stay here again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We found this condo online and found it to be just as described. The walk to the beach was a few minutes, and we were within walking distance of restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping. The condo was clean and the chairs and beach goodies left by prior occupants came in very handy. We love to visit Kauai, and we will likely try to stay here again. We just returned from a week at this property with our family. The unit is well maintained and very comfortable. The owner was very accomodating and allowed us to stay past check out time, as we had a evening flight. Everything you might need was available in the condo. We spent our mornings on the many beaches that are close by and our afternoons by the pool. We would definately come back to this spot and recommend it to our friends.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

We spent 10 wonderful days in this condo on our first visit to Kauai. The condo was clean, quiet, comfortable and close to everything. I have already recommended it to some friends! My only complaint is that the cleaners tried to boot us out an hour early - luckily we had the written confirmation from the owner stating the checkout time was 11:00 a.m., not 10:00.Did you find this review helpful? We have traveled the world from Indonesia to Belize to Fiji to Mexico to Micronesia and we love Kauai! We are avid scuba divers and if you are a diver, there is no place better than Kauai for Honu (turtles). Contact us anytime and we will be happy to help you plan your time on Kauai.
Why the Owner Chose Kapaa:
We have been going to Kauai for over 40 years now and its an amazing place. We own 2 properties here on Kauai and have chosen the Kapaa side because of its balanced climate. There is enough rain to keep it lush but enough sun to make it fun. A perfect balance of available beaches, lush foliage and sunshine. For our personal taste, the north end ( Princeville) is too wet and Poipu has limited beaches, is too dry and way too crowded. There is only one main road, shaped like a horseshoe, on Kauai. Kapaa is right in the middle and equal distances from the end of the road in both directions. Perfect for exploring the incredible scenery of Kauai. Kauai has an amazing history. If you get the chance read Kauai, the Separate Kingdom. Kauai is the only Hawaiian Island that has never been conquered by any army (although many have tried!). Come stay with us and see why Kauai is such a special place.
