The home is located in the unique Lantern District of Dana Point and is centrally located to everything fun in Orange County. It is within walking distance to the Town Center, Doheny State Beach, and Dana Point Harbor. The artistic beach colony of Laguna Beach is eight miles to the northwest and the famous Newport Beach harbor and beautiful upscale Fashion Island shopping mall is another six miles. For the ocean lover's, Laguna Beach's beaches and scuba/snorkeling dive sites are a 20-minute boat ride away and for the open water enthusiast the fun-filled island of Catalina is a 90-minute boat ride from Dana Point Harbor.
The home has a coastal, ocean view of California's Gold Coast. The night lights of Dana Point and San Clemente twinkle every night from the upper floor dining area. On very clear nights you can see lights from the hills around San Diego.
This 3 bedroom/2.5 bath three-story house is very spacious with vaulted ceilings on the third floor and a fireplace in the living room, over 2400 square feet including the balcony and patio and is in outstanding condition. The property is loaded with upgrades! It features 12-inch stone tile flooring in the bathrooms, 18 inch stone tile flooring in the kitchen and carpet throughout, designer kitchen with Corian counters and premium appliances. Included are all the amenities to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. Note: The garage is NOT included with the house.
The home is beautifully decorated and furnished with TVs, surround sound stereo system, kitchenware, bedding and linens, full-size washer and dryer, DVD, beach chairs and towels, and a variety of small kitchen appliances.
The house can be rented as a two (2) bedroom for a family of four or two couples, or a three bedroom house for a family of six or three couples.
The master bedroom is on the second floor has a king size bed along with a large bathroom and dressing area , cable TV/DVD, and stereo. The second master bedroom is located on the first floor is equipped with a king size bed, 9ft sofa and cable TV/DVD as well. The third bedroom, located on the second floor with access through a sliding glass door to the patio, during the low season is mainly used a den/office with a roll top desk, file cabinet and a computer desk with file cabinet but one twin bed can be installed upon request. During the high season (June, July, & August) the computer desk and file are removed and replaced with two (2) twin beds making the third bedroom.
Centrally located in the village district of Dana Point, this property is just a half mlle to Doheny State Beach , Dana Point Harbor's stores and restaurants. The town center and Ralph's super market is 300 yards away
The Dana Point/Laguna Beach area offers everything including picturesque and challenging golf courses, fishing, boating, jet skiing, boardsailing, surfing, scuba diving/snorkeling, and dining experiences to match all tastes.
Southern California's tourists attractions like Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm are just 45 minutes away in Anaheim along with Angel Stadium and Arrowhead Pond..... Long Beach has a spectacular aquarium and the Queen Mary is docked there for touring and dining............San Diego offers Sea World and a renowned zoo as well as Sea Port Village, Balboa Park with its many museums (about one-hour drive).......... Head north to Los Angeles for Universal Studios, Magic Mountain, Hollywood, Griffith Park, numerous museums, and cultural events.

The harbor attracts thousands of visitors annually for sport fishing, shopping, bicycling, kayaking, paddle boarding, whale watching, and just walking around the harbor. Nice, comfortable house. We enjoyed our stay here. Good sized bedrooms, clean, and comfortable. The house is about 2 miles from Baby Beach and 1 1/2 miles from the harbor. Owner lives in town and was always accessible if we needed anything. I would stay here again.

About the owner: We are retired science and math teachers that travel all over the world through our scuba tours looking for fun and adventures. During our summer vacations over the years, we created scuba diving instruction and charter boat business in Dana Point.

As far as we are concerned, there are only three beach areas to live in California. The Monterey/Carmel to the north of us , and Pacific Beach/La Jolla down south and where we picked to live, the Dana Point/Laguna Beach area
