I had booked this cottage for a 'guys' weekend! Mainly, to relax, fish, and not worry about neighbors 10 feet from your cabin. When we arrived, the pictures quite simply, do not do this place justice! I thought it would be spacious, but the place was HUGE on the inside! It kept going and going! More than plenty of room for anything and everything we needed to do. It was very open, with plenty of seating in the lower lever for those late night card games! Everything was clean and well labeled. Well labeled meaning, if you couldn't figure something out, there was a 99% chance there was a label, or document explaining the process (ie. working the TV). The upstairs almost felt like a hotel because of the individual room air conditioner/heaters. That was a very nice feature! Plenty of parking for many cars/trucks - didn't even use 20% of the parking with 8 cars. The owners were also VERY helpful. They answered any questions we had in a very timely manner! All in all, when you are organizing a trip to the dells, it can be VERY overwhelming...but your search should stop right here! This cottage will meet all your needs, AND MORE!!

The home is beautiful and fully equipt. Pam is a wonderful person to work with and she helped make our stay comfortable. I LOVE the fact that the home is secluded somewhat giving privacy. We were unable to spend much time outside based on weather conditions but the time we spent laughing and sight seeing on the deck off the kitchen was amazing (especially with a glass of coffee). I would so come back. There was plenty of space for everyone and might I add I want a laundry room added to my current home what a wonderful perk!

Great place for a ski weekend

We worried about whether there would be any snow on the ground when we booked the house since it was a very warm winter. It snowed the day before our arrival. It was simply beautiful to have snow on the trees surrounding the house. We had a great time staying there. Even our 9 year old son Alex provided an entry in their guest book. We frequently rent vacation homes and are usually quite satisfied - we were much more then satisfied with this rental! From the time we inquired about the house through check out everything was perfect! This house is a home not just a rental - we were extremely comfortable (2 families/4 adults four teens ages13-19) with plenty of room to spread out. The layout allowed for us all to be together without feeling crowded - the kitchen table was perfect for playing board games. The pictures are true to what the house looks like, the view from every room was awesome! The owners Pam & Kevin did a great job outfitting the house with everything you could possibly need and the fact they sent us a detailed list of what was in the house made packing so much easier.....all we needed was food, clothes and pillows! This is the first rental that we stayed in that we knew exactly what was in the house and I really liked that! The house is close to skiing and downtown dells but set on so many acres you feel like you are away from everything - we will definitely be going back - maybe for a summer trip next time! Thanks Pam & Kevin for sharing your house - we loved it!

New Year's Eve Celebration

This was our second time at Pam and Kevin's house. We chose to celebrate New Year's Eve here, second time in a row! We love to ski and Cascade is just about 25 min from the house. It was really nice to come back to cozy place after long hours of skiing. The house has everything we needed: kitchen fully equiped, large table where we could dine with family and friends, and spacious living room, where we could rest. Owners are extra nice, really caring that you have a good time. Area is just owesome, there is just woods around, no neighbours at all! Kids enjoyed games and huge DVD selection owners provide to tenants. The house was very clean and beautifullly decorated for Christmas. You can tell that owners really care about this property. I trully recomend this house to families with children or adult getaways.

We had a wonderful Christmas vacation at your home! Thank you for decorating the house for the holidays for us and for the foot of snow that ensured a memorable white Christmas! The house was spacious -- even for our group of eleven, which included our three grandchildren, all under age ten. We loved the open concept of the house. The open kitchen and living room allowed us all to be together in one place. And, when we wanted quiet and privacy, the three bedrooms upstairs provided them. The grounds were beautiful, and the property was certainly secluded. More than the beautiful property and the home that provided everything we needed, we appreciated the way you dealt with us. You treated us like part of your own family! Thanks for a memorable vacation!

Fun Family Weekend!

This was a great central location to gather our family from around the state. The home is beautiful, spacious and fully equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and fun. We enjoyed hiking through the woods, sitting around a campfire and seeing the deer that came right up close to the house. We especially enjoyed the open floor plan for meals, playing table games, etc. with a large group. The bedrooms, bathrooms and laundry area are large and nicely furnished with lots of storage space. Our weekend passed much too quickly!

I've never rented a vacation home before, and was a little nervous. But everything was as described on the site. The few questions I had were answered promplty and professionally by Pam. We had 7 adults and an infant, and there was plenty of private space for all of us. We stayed at the house most of the time, and although the water parks are nearby, this was a great place to relax, play games, and eat and drink with friends and family we don't see often enough. The house is located in a wooded neighborhood with a private trail through the forest, and back to the house. The deck off the kitchen can easily seat 7 adults, and there is a fire pit behind the garage. One master bedroom has a jacuzzi tub, and there are showers on both levels. The house was immaculate and well organized. I couldn't have asked for a better first-time experience with VRBO.

Best Birthday Vacation Ever!!

We stayed here for 2 1/2 days in Oct 2012 to celebrate my 30th birthday. The house was absolutely beautiful,clean and much more than expected! There was plenty of room for our large group of 12 during the day and sleeping arrangements. I loved that the rental was fully stocked with anything you need from games to towels to a can opener. It made the packing before and after much easier (and lighter!). We took advantage of the nice big fire pit and the spacious deck to enjoy the night stars. I would recommend this rental in a hearbeat to anyone traveling to the area. Thank you to the Lee's for being so organized and friendly during the whole process. They really made the whole experience so easy!!

Stayed here with a group of girlfriends for a week and had a great time. The house was very clean and plenty of room for the 11 adults and several kids that stayed. It had everything we needed, other then pillows, which they don't provide and can be difficult to arrange when people are flying in for vacation. The owners were great to work with, all questions were answered promptly, along with the deposit after we checked out. Nice location, a little ways from the Dells, but not too far to be inconvenient.

Thank you so much for sharing your home with our family. The entire experience of renting this location was very easy, and the owners did an outstanding job of communicating with me all the way through. We had a group of 10, including 2 small children, and the home accomodated us perfectly. It was such a quick trip into the Dells to enjoy a day at the water parks, then we were all able to spend the evenings together in the family room cheering on Team USA during the Olympics at night. We all agree we would rent this house again the next time we visit Wisconsin. Thank you again for allowing us to enjoy a terrific week.

Our stay at this property was a wonderful experience. The home is spacious and accommodated our large group (12) very comfortably. The process of making the reservations, communicating with the owners, getting the keys and all the details of what is and is not included was easy. It was very clean and everything worked perfectly. We were disappointed of the fire ban because we could not enjoy the great fire pit. But we had a bag tournament in the backyard and enjoyed the patio. Birdwatching out the living room windows was very fun. Location is close to the Dells and to the casino to celebrate our son's birthday. Tubing on the WI River is very close and a fun activity for all age groups. Would recommend this property to anyone for a relaxing time with family or friends.

Great Home Just Minutes from the Dells

This home was great for our first multi-family vacation. Spacious, clean and private with tons of space outside for the kids to run around. We took full advantage of the stocked kitchen and grill to prepare all of our meals. The close proximity to the Dells made it super easy to get to all of the attractions, but still have a quiet, relaxing place to come home to in the evenings. So much better than staying in one of the resorts. The owner was great to work with. We would definitely rent this home again.

Let me start by saying this place is a 5/5. Communication with the owners was great. We both understood what was expected of us, and that made for smooth check-in, check-out, payment and more. We stayed here for a reunion of our study abroad group, and needed a place with plenty of room, in an area with tons to do. The house in the Dells was a great choice. The grounds were spacious, the inside was clean, up do date, roomy and best of all there were enough dishes and flatware for everyone. (Oh- and utensils for the grill, too!) I think the best part of the house was the privacy. It's in the woods where no one bothers you- and I think, when focusing on time together, it's nice to be secluded. Funny part of it's location... when we first arrived, a guy pulled up in a van and asked if we saw three horses running around. Not funny for him (obviously), but definitely a quirky way to start the trip. I would DEFINITELY stay here again, and recommend it to anyone looking for a place in the Dells to handle larger groups. It's barely 10 minutes from all the waterparks! Ya can't beat that!

A Wonderful Get-Away!

This home was perfect for our vacation! Close to the Dells... but far enough away that we were peaceful and secluded! We needed a bird guide to be able to name all the different birds that came to the feeders! My family and I found the house outstanding! It accommodated the 11 of us perfectly. There was nothing we needed that the house didn't offer, the house is beautiful and extremely well maintained. Being just a few minutes from the Dells, we were able to go to several different attractions. The Lee's provided several brochures at the house in which we found locations and prices of attractions we wanted to visit. We hope to stay again in the future at this home and take advantage off all it has to offer! The owners were extremely nice and did so much to make sure our stay was "A Wonderful Get-Away"!

Wonderfull home for a getaway. One Bedroom set was identical to ours so I really felt like home! We truly enjoyed all the availability to 3 bathrooms (having 3 teenagers with). 1 year old loved the freedom of the spacious home after spending day in stroller!. Every room was fully furnished with all our needs. We all enjoyed watching the birds and black squirrels(which we had never seen before). Loved the kitchen having everything needed furnished to fix meals. Thanks for all the information about things to do at the Dells. We did something there every day for 7 days. Noahs Ark was probably the best for all the age groups(1-60) House on the Rock is a must to see. We enjoyed outdoors playing throw bag game that is there. The owners were wonderful and helpful. I have already recommended this home get-away to my relatives, friends and customers (we own a retail store). Much better than a motel! We will enjoy staying there again in the future. We had a family get together at this house. We had a total of 12 people and the house fit us perfect. There was plenty of room inside and out. The home sits back from the street making it feel private and safe for the kids to run around the yard. The home is close enough to all the dells attractions and far enough away making it feel like your in the country when at the house. If we could change anything about this home. It would be to install WiFi and supply the guest pillows. Everybody in our group came from out of town so we had to buy pillows and pillow cases at walmart. Kinda a hassel and $$$. All in all this is a keeper in our book.

We rented the house for 3 nights/4 days and we had really great time staying in the house.It was pleasure for us staying in.The house is very well maintained and clean,and owners are very helpful and friendly.There is plenty of space in and outdoors so you can enjoy your stay no matter of the weather.We enjoyed grilling and just chilling on the porch,as well as staying inside.Other great advantage is that Wisconsin Dells is just few miles away,so that you can go there anytime you want.We will definitely recommend it to our friends and we will be more than happy to rent the house again!

family vacation in the Dells

We are from Ohio and our family is from Minnesota so we all decided to meet in the Dells for some fun. We stayed at "get away woods" and had a fantastic time! Pam is the easiest person to work with. She is always available to answer questions and we even got to meet her because we arrived a little early to the house. The house is extremely clean and well cared for. There was nothing we could have wished for that wasn't there. It is a very quiet area and a great place to gather with family. We had campfires, watched movies and, of course, visited the Dells. It is only a 10 to 15 minute drive right to the Dells. We especially enjoyed watching all of the birds as they came to the various feeders she has set out for them. It was a truely wonderful experience and we highly recommend this house for a large group. Everyone had plenty of room to spread out. We will definitely go back the next time we want to go the Dells!

The house was very clean and had nice upgrades. The setting is very private, with nothing but trees completely surrounding the house. The layout is great for a group gathering space, yet spread out enough that everyone can enjoy privacy. The owner was very accommodating to us, and helpful if we needed anything. Everything in the Dells is very close, and very easy to get to. I would definitely recommend this house to others, and I would consider making it an annual gathering spot for family.

We rented this 'home' (much more than a 'house'!) for one of our semi-annual Girls Weekends for 7 of us and it was PERFECT! It was spacious and homey and relaxing and everything that the owners said it would be. Working with Pam was easy and awesome...they are truly providing a great getaway for those that are in need. I would definitely recommend this for a large group or multi-couple/family retreat. The open area concept was great for cooking, socializing and just 'being' with each other. Double thumbs up!

Great place for a winter fun

We spent there 4 days over the New Year's Eve Weekend. Everyone loved the spacious rooms!!! The house was very nicely prepared, waiting for our arrival. Lots of kitchen supplies, towels, and everything u need. Kids loved the outside area. Not that far to Wisconsin Dells. After all, it is just one exit North of the last exit to Wisconsin Dells. We were skiing in Cascade Mountain, and it was not far to us to get there every day (around 30 min. one way). Thank you, Pam and Kevin. I hope to check the house in the summer, as well!!! Alicja

Owner response: Cascade Mountain and Devils Head ski resorts are a short drive away (25 minutes). Christman Mountain also has ski hills and a tabing hill that is just 10 minutes away.

The perfect spot for a getaway!

This was a "home away from home". Well thought out floor plan with room for everyone. We had 5 adults and rented this property for Thanksgiving. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We cooked a complete traditonal Thanksgiving dinner. Although it was November, the weather was mild giving us the opportunity to take walks in the surrounding woods. Beautiful property! Pam and Kevin were extremely helpful in giving us tips on things to do in the area which included a long hike in Devil's Lake State Park and Miller's Grocery Store in Lyndon Station. Loved it! The accomodations were perfect and no one was unhappy with their sleeping arrangements. Room for everyone +. This home is well maintained and the owners want to make sure you are happy and comfortable (which we definitely were). If you're into watching tv or movies, there are tv's for everyone. We also took advantage of the "game closet" which has some favorites that everyone can play. We would definitely love to be welcomed back to this property in the future.

Our group, featuring a collection of 7 geologists, decided to stay here because of its close proximity to numerous state parks (Devil's Lake State Park, by Baraboo, WI is fantastic!). The house is large, with ample space for a group of our size or even larger. The grounds and house are both well-maintained. We especially liked all the trees on the property, which made it seem like you were basically on you own, even though you are close to a busy and touristy area (Wisconsin Dells). The firepit was great, and so was the presence of a bbq. The owners are very responsive and helpful, which is also awesome. We would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Thanks!

My husband and I rented this beautiful home for a mini reunion with our kids and grandkids. This home provided more than enough space for everyone. The big bedroom was great for all of the kids, and the master bedrooms were perfect for the adults. Everything about this home totally exceeded our expectations.. The owner was very helpful and answered all questions and concerns. The owner also kept in touch before, during and after our vacation.... We all were so amazed that the owner thought of just about everything you would need away from home. We can't wait to go back!!

Very nice, we had a ball. 6 adults stayed here with plenty of room to spread out and get away from each other when needed. No more condos for us. Very clean and well thought out design allowing a huge living area adjacent to the kitchen. Excellent beds with all the necessary linens and towels. All of us would do this again except no more miniture golf. We are golfed out. Wonderful setting in the woods with a great deck and sitting area. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. Very helpful owners who really take care of the property and their customers. You won't be dissapointed.
