My wife and I needed to get away for our anniversary and chose this cabin for its beautiful setting in a remote area on the outskirts of the White Mountains (within an hour drive to Mt. Washington). The cabin was spacious and had a warm "home-like" feeling with a great front porch. This is how you build a log cabin! We would definitely book here again.Did you find this review helpful? When my family decided to spend a week prospecting for gold, this is exactly the kind of place they needed to relax after being in the river all day! Didn't find much, but met plenty of people on route 112 who were happy to show us theirs. My plan was to cook easy meals and this kitchen worked great(Woodsville Walmart had everything, including kneepads when hubby tore knees in his wetsuit). Two full baths and laundry kept everyone happy. Our teenagers didn't even complain for lack of internet. When I made reservation, the owners were very accomodating. Once during our stay, I called for help with the water pressure and someone came right over. We were very happy with the privacy, convenient location and comfort of Nauset Lodge and look forward to returning!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I have been visiting this area of New Hampshire all of my life. I am used to the beauty of the White Mountains and love the people. As of late we (my family) have been renting homes because of the convenience and ability to gather everyone all under one roof. This cabin was perfect for our gathering. We had a belated Thanksgiving Day dinner and served 9 people with ease. We slept 6 comfortably and could have fit 2 more on the fouton. The kids loved the loft and made that their official play area, along with their room, and the living room, and the outdoors!! Come to think of it the kids took over the joint! Seriously, for a small group of people (6-8) you cannot beat the price, the beauty of the home, the condition (very good and up to date), and the location. The front porch is a wonderful spot to relax. The living room with wood stove is a perfect place to end the day, and having two full baths is a definite plus.It is close enough to 91, 93, and other state routes to get you to many attractions. The pictures and link to the virtual tour are spot on!! Also, last but not least, the owners were very responsive to my requests, very pleasant to work with and true to their word. I would highly recommend this cabin to any one. We had a wonderful time.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

this cabin provides all you can possibly need for a vacation in which day excursions are on your agenda. it has the rarity of being tucked away, and being near to all major rds.and villiages. and should the weather fail you , just kicking back in cozy cabin is a great comfort ! the owners are friendly and more than held up there end of the bargain ,should you consider renting.(which is a no-brainer in my opinion!) you wont be disapointed !! cabin is clean , modern and self sufficient!! by reading this ,I hope I will save everyone time ,in there cabin search for the white mountain region,, you neednt go any further !!!Did you find this review helpful? my husband, myself and our 2 sons (ages 5 & 9) rented this charming, immaculate log cabin for a week in february and we had the greatest time! your home ought to be in 'House Beautiful'-every detail from the home's floor plan to the obvious care and decor were beyond our expectations. we highly recommend this home! it's so close to everything and yet so private. a wonderful place to come home to after skiing and hiking or to spend the day in our jammies. thank you for your book of things to do, hope it's ok we added a menu to it. you are gracious renters.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My family spent 2 nights in this cabin at the end of March 2011. The home was very clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and a great fit for us. My kids (aged 9, 6 and 4) loved the place. The remote location made for quiet nights and a beautiful star-lit sky. We saw some deer in the evening when we arrived. Everything was in very good working order, and Carl and Patty were very flexible, welcoming and easy to work with. The White Mountains area provided spectacular scenery. We definitely want to return someday!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

We arrived Friday evening after having dinner at the Woodstock Inn on the other side of the mountain. The cabin is clean and well furnished. The beds are comfortable and we slept like babies in the silent forest. We skiied (cross country) right out of the front of the property in the morning and went to Groton NH, state forest in Vermont for the afternoon. Lots of skiing, ski mobile trails, and just plain beautiful NH/VT landscape all around you. We will be back! SCRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
