This villa was a great spot to call home for 9 nights. Kelie was an amazing host, giving us as much insight and recommendations as needed! I traveled to Costa Rica with four other women and we enjoyed the leisure of having a comfortable, safe and relaxing place to end our busy days. We were very pleased to see that the photos of this listing were more than accurate, as well as the description of amenities and cleanliness. I do recommend renting a car while you stay at the villa as it is a bit farther than we expected to swimming beaches, as well as to some very important tourist spots. Though, the 15 minute walk down the dirt road for a sunset cocktail and meal from some recommended restaurants/bars was not bad at all, such as Backyard Bar and Las Arenas. Also, make sure you take the 15/20 minute walk up through the neighborhood to check out the waterfall, it was a slice of paradise in our own backyard! Ask Kelie, she will direct you to all the good spots! With that said, I would definitely recommend this spot to friends and family. Thank you again to Kelie for her amazing hospitality, I will see you again real soon!

Wow, what a awesome trip! This house is perfect for couples, we found it to be warm and enough privacy. The back yard is wonderful, morning coffee with the macaws flying over and at the end of the day drinks were very relaxing. The pool was a must to cool down after outings. But the best part was the open rock showers a little bit of heaven. We found ourselves cooking a lot more than planned because it was just so nice to be there. We have to thank Keli for her wonderful way of making you feel welcome and comfortable. She helped with planning our daily trips, and making sure we hit the best things. The zip line was very fun the guys there were awesome. The quad ride through the back hills was so beautiful waterfall, streams and plants what a wonderful day. But the best trip that really surprised me was the rafting trip Kelli set up for us. I have to say it was by far the most fun. The river itself was aquamarine in color, beautiful waterfalls. The guys on our trip made us feel safe and stopped along the way to show us animals and plants and take pictures of us to remember. So with that I would say the house, Keli and Costa Rica warmed our hearts and opened our minds. Thank you, see all of you soon.

when my family and i arrived at the villa we were really pleased with what we found!it was clean,spacious and the pool looked great!everything you need is all there including all cooking utensils and clean towels etc. kellie(the owner)was away when we got there but one of her friends sorted us out with local information and made us feel very welcome!when kellie got back she went out of her way to make sure everything was ok with us and the villa,she advised us on some places to go such as local waterfalls,restaurants and beaches!our four year old son especially enjoyed catching his own dinner at the talapia farm up in he mountains,as did me and my girlfriend! the villa itself felt very safe with guards at the gate 24/7,we were there for 3 weeks over christmas and new year and it was perfect for us,our son was in the pool all the time. playa hermosa is just down the road which i surfed most mornings,its beautiful,we would often go down in the evening to watch the sun set. overall the villa is in a really good quiet location,close to the beach and only five km away from the busy little town of Jaco,kellie is really friendly and helpful and will make sure you have everything you need to make your stay special! one of the best holidays we've ever had,can't wait to go back!

A great stay in Costa Rica

My wife and I, greatly enjoyed our stay in this little slice of heaven. We found the house very pleasant, roomy, and well put together. All was orderly and well maintained. We arrived after midnight, and our host had arranged an easy entry for us with the guard on duty. Also, her recommendation of car rental company was spot on, as they picked us up from the airport after midnight, drove us to the house, and left the car behind. What more could you ask? We felt very secure on the property, which had a well manicured lawn, an excellent exterior, and a guard nearby. The splash pool was well maintained, and the outdoor space capitalized on the available space, which wasn't as private as thought, as it is the first house in the community, so all must pass by, and the trees weren't thick enough to completely shelter you from view. Nevertheless, we truly enjoyed the lot, and spent our time at the property outdoors in the shade reading and talking into the night. For checking back home, the internet service was very sufficient for checking home phone messages, and using Skype for calls back to the States and elsewhere. The only hiccup was the grill, which I didn't want to clean to cook outdoors, and our young neighbor, who on a few nights had a bit more energy then was soothing for us. The house was in a good location to Playa Hermosa, Jaco, and other areas we visited. Kelie, who managed the property, was a big help. She gave us excellent information, and helped us manage a few excursions. We found her delightful, and hope we'll have her company again when we return, or if she comes to the States. In total, I recommend this romantic villa for good times in Costa Rica. To date, this was one of the best vacations I ever had. We miss this place and the two frogs I befriend, Bartholomew and Sebastian. Barron & Daniela

This house was the perfect place to stay in costa rica. With two couples, the house was comfortable because of the two master suites and pool (we used the pool a lot!). The house looks even better in person. The location was also ideal. After seeing the scene along the beach, we were very happy to be away from the tourist zone, but still close enough to just about everything we needed, food, surf,hiking/running trails. Hermosa is a great place to stay if you want to surf and hike the nearby trails that are right behind the house. The gated community was also a plus after hearing so many stories of petty theft in the area. Kelie was also incredibly helpful, giving us great reccomendations about food and places to see, as well as attending to the house and all of our questions. I would stay here again and again and feel very lucky to have found it. Very highly reccomend staying here for a great experience.

What an amazing stay for my first trip abroad in over 12 years! Kelie, the property manager, made the reservation and payment process easy, and assisted with sending directions, guides, etc which were very helpful getting around the country from the airport to this location. The home itself was very clean, comfortable, and everything and more than we had hoped! We felt very secure, safe, and welcome in the neighborhood, and being a bit away from the hub-bub of the main tourist area was nice so that we could fit right in and enjoy our time, more like a tico than a tourist. Kelie was very welcoming, hospitable, and helpful in suggesting amazing places to go around the country. We enjoyed the Zip Line at Vista Los Suenos! AMAZINGLY nice people and I would highly reccomend! We also really liked our visit to Volcan Poas in the north central area of the country and although quite a drive, the drive was amazing in itself! If you plan on visiting Manuel Antonio be prepared for a different type of tico, as many in this area are out to take advantage tourists. Our favorite beach, where there was nobody within our visual distance was Playa Esterillos, about 15 minutes south of the house. So beautifully perfect! I cannot wait to hopefully return sometime soon with some more friends so that they too can experience this wonderful home, and country!

This is a great place to stay. The home is beautiful, clean and safe and a great place for a family. It is within easy driving distance to Manuel Antonio, and other attractions. We recommend the turtle nesting tour at Playa Hermosa. It was a great experience for our children. Jaco is a great place for surfing lessons for beginners. We all had a blast. Thank you Kelie for your hospitality.

My boyfriend and I just returned from our 2 week trip to Costa Rica. We had such a blast!! Costa Rica is more beautiful than either of us could have imagined and the people are so friendly! We felt right at home at this house....it was very, very clean and absolutely beautiful! The pool was so nice to come back to after a day at the beach. Kelie and Dave were helpful, friendly and welcoming. It was comforting knowing they were only a few houses away if we needed anything! There are trails right behind the community that the house is located in as well. There are two waterfalls and a steep trail/road that leads you to an unbelievable view of Playa Hermosa and the ocean. Playa Hermosa is a great little spot and the house is in walking distance to a few restaurants, bars and a beautiful beach. Great waves for surfing! Playa Hermosa is only about a 5-6 minute drive to Jaco which has a bunch of shops and restaurants. A cab ride to Jaco cost about $10 unless you hitch a ride from one of the friendly "ticos!" We rented bikes for a week to get around easier and a scooter for a few days to see more outside of Hermosa. A car would have been nice...but next time! The Canopy Tour is a must....we had such a blast! (And Kelie was able to get us a discount which was great!) We also took a boat ride to Tortuga Island where we snorkeled and had an incredible day on a beautiful white sand beach. Manuel Antonio is about an hour drive south which was well worth it! Saw lots of monkeys and the beaches and trails there are gorgeous! It's a fun, inexpensive day. Overall, Costa Rica was a trip we will never forget. This house is highly recommended and I know we will be coming back!

Although we were very nervous about our first trip to Costa Rica, our arrival to this house in the gated community made us feel at ease immediately! It is exactly as the pictures show. The pool is outstanding! Kelie and David went out of their way to make sure we (espeically my 18 year old daughter) had what we needed to make our week extraordinary...thanks again!! We actually met up with my Uncle from Colorado (funny to think that we had to go all the way to Costa Rica to spend some time with our US family members!), and we sea kayaked with them. It was a wonderful way to spend a morning. Later in the week, we took an ATV tour (however, they take the same road that Kelie recommends on her "local things to do" so we had already driven it--it was still great though...a totally different perspective when on ATV's). We can't wait to come back!

Fabulous casita!

My husband and I stayed at this adorable house for 1 week. Overall, we have ZERO regrets! We rented a car and managed to find the house pretty easily despite the pouring rain.. simply from Kelie's driving directions. (For those of you renting a car, no need for the navagation. And always take it AND the radio out of the car.. ALWAYS!) The house is cozy, comfortable, clean, and simple. It's right next to the guard house so we felt very secure the whole stay. The air flow was great.. we used the AC very little and when we did, it worked so well we'd have to turn it off shortly after! The location was perfect and we found some amazing restaurants nearby. The pool is fantastic.. perfect temperature and size, extremely clean. It did stop working one day, but Kelie was always around and came right over to refill/fix it. Kelie pretty much rocks. We followed her guide to restaurants and attractions like it was our bible. (LOVED the beach and Los Almendros in Esterillos Oeste! Ate breakfast most mornings at Las Olas.. could sit and watch people for hours..) Although the house/pool are not as private as originally thought, it was not a problem when you become accustomed to the laid back life of CR. The bed was cozy, showers huge, and windows private by simply letting loose of curtains. Fans everywhere. Can't say enough. Internet was also very reliable for those who can't get away from work... I took a final exam there without any problem! Mango tree out front.. Kelie/David showed us how to turn those into a mean Mango salsa! This house has everything and it meant so much having Kelie nearby to answer questions. There is an adorable Yoga studio just feet away. What more could you ask for?

The Most Amazing Vacation Ever

My friend, my 14 yr old son and myself stayed here 10 days and had the time of our lives!! We actually had reservations at a second home in another town and opted to skip going there in order to continue our vaction at this house in Playa Hermosa. The home is beautiful and so comfortable. It accomodated us perfectly. It has AC but the giant ceiling fans were about all we needed to be comfortable at night. There's an outdoor shower to rinse the sand off, a washer and dryer and a BBQ, not to mention the beautiful pool that we used daily! Kelie, the proprty owner, made all the difference in the type of experience we had in Costa Rica. We came blindly, knowing nothing, and she guided us to all the best experiences, and away from the things to avoid. She truly loves Costa Rica and her enthusiasm to share it comes right through. One of the best things about this house is it's proximty inside a gated community and being 2 house's down from the gaurd gate. We were able to leave all our valuables inside the house (camera's, passports, money), lock it up and leave without worrying about it at all. Our experience at this house and in Playa Hermosa with all the wonderful people we met is hands down the best vacation I've ever had, I can't wait to go back!!!!!!!! Thanks Kelie!!!!!!!

Muy lindo lugar, con seguridad las 24hs , estacionamiento para dos vehiculos y solo a 5 minutos de la playa o, perfecto point de surf. Lejos de la ciudad, perfecto para desconectarse de todo tipo de preocupacion. La atencion fue genial y super ordenada. La casa dispone de todo tipo de equipamientos, desde secarropas hasta hornos electricos. Super comfortable con T.v y sillones reclinables. Lo recomiendo 100% por que el precio es super accesible y vale la pena concer este lugar. Muchas gracias a Kelly y David por la exelente atencion.

Nos encantó el lugar!! La casa es excelente! tiene todas las comodidades que unos espera para sus vacaciones y mas! los cuartos son hermosos realmente, todos los ambientes estan super decorados y encontras todo lo que necesitas. La parte de afuera es increible! con una galeria para comer y la pileta que es genial!! El barrio es muy seguro y esta bien ubicado, en una zona tranquila para descansar. Ademas de los detalles de la casa Kelie y David nos atendieron super bien, siempre atentos a nosotros! Pasamos una semana PERFECTA en Playa Hermosa gracias a ellos 2 y a esta casa fantastica! Superr recomendable!!!!!

My husband & I spent 13 days at this beautiful home in Playa Hermosa. The house is well equipped with everything you need. It was clean and well maintained and the photos actually do not do it justice. We loved staying here. The private pool was our favorite part and a wonderful amenity. Kelie and David were very helpful and informative about the area. While there are many activities and local attractions around, knowing we don't like 'guided tours' Kelie & David directed us to some unique, beautiful and out of the way areas we would not have seen otherwise. I would recommend this home wholeheartedly. Thank you for making this a wonderful vacation for us! We'll be back...

Great Time!

The house is amazing! We had our own pool and outdoor grill, I didnt plan on cooking at all but ended up cooking two nights. Kelie was so helpful and gave us great recommendations. She had a list typed up for us on what to do, where to go, helpful tips. We rented a car and jumped from beach to beach, went white water rafting, went on the canopy tours. I recommend the Playa Herradurra Beach on the Los Suenos Resort. It is nice and there are several nice bars and places to eat on it. The marina in Los Suenos is amazing also, great restaurants as well. I definitely recommend this place to everyone. It is safe and the drive is not hard if you are ok with directions. Google maps had a route that I didnt try, i used Kelie's directions and economy rentals directions to get there. We drove around midnight from San Jose so I def recommend driving during the day. Great time!!!

I've stayed at this house twice now and love it. I came with friends both times and found it charming, relaxing and close to beach, town shopping and dining out. One trip we rode horses, another we drove down the coast to Manuel Antonio with its beautiful scenery and beaches. You can be adventuress or you can do nothing at all. House is great for quiet nights or having friends over to grill out. will come back again soon.
