We stayed with friends at the condo for a week period and it was phenomenal! THe condo is HUGE! Way bigger than I expected, so clean and nicely decorated with art and comfortable furniture! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could ever need. There was drawers full of movies if you want a night in! The grounds were well kept and quiet which was nice to enjoy a private vacation! Our favorite part was that the sliding door in our room led straight into the pool! There were beach chairs and an umbrella which was so useful to shade us from the sun! The beach was seconds away and was not crowded at all. Puerto Morelos is such a quaint little town with tons of restaurants to choose from. There was a market where you could purchase just about anything you would need. We booked a tour through with Kin Ha and went ATV'ing, ziplining and swimming through cenotes which was a blast. The property management in town was great to us with all the questions we had and actually recommended the tour for us. The property owners were very informative from the time we booked and gave us all necessary information before we arrived at the condo. I would definitely recommend this condo for anyone looking for a quiet relaxing beautiful Mexican vacation!

Owner response: Thank you so much Chantelle for taking the time to write such a great review about Condo de Los Amigos! We are so glad you enjoyed the condo and our little town of Puerto Morelos, next time when you come the tractors better be up and running on the beach or I will have to come and drive one myself! We would love to have you stay again.

Can't wait to Go Back!
Just got back from a great time spent in Puerto Morelos at Condo de Los Amigos! The condo was beautiful and was decorated with artwork and furniture that gave it an authentic Mexican feel! It was a larger space than I expected. There is air conditioning in the main living space and in each bedroom to help cool you down during the warm evenings. My favourite part of the ground floor condo was the direct access from the bedrooms to the pool area. We were down during off season so most of the other condos were empty so we had the pool to ourselves for pretty much the entire time we were there. Also, how close the condo is to the beach is great - barely a 30 second walk to the white sand and blue water of the Caribbean Sea. Puerto Morelos has a relaxing, small town feel. With snorkelling, fishing, scuba diving, atv jungle and cenote adventures all there it made my adventure minded fiancee happy, while the white sandy beach made the beach bum in me happy! Best of both worlds! There are many great restaurants and a wide variety of food to choose from to keep everyone happy! A word of advice - walk along the beach into town as the breeze makes the walk a little more bearable in the heat! Make sure to visit Tacos.com for the best tacos in town, and El Nicho for the best eggs benny in town!

Owner response: Best Eggs Benny anywhere!! They just aren't quite the same when you return home. Thank you for the review on our condo and our little town of Puerto Morelos, it sounds like you had the vacation you had hoped for.
Wow, what to say about this place! We chose to do the condo route instead of a resort for our honeymoon and couldn't have chosen better than this place! It was awesome walking in and having so much space to ourselves as opposed to just a small hotel room. We went during the quiet season as well so we never saw any other people around the condo area so it was very private. Cooking was never really an issue, even for us newlyweds that don’t know how to cook too well! We ate out usually one meal a day and made the rest back at the condo. The grocery shop in town or the OXXO usually had everything that we needed, but if we wanted some more variety La Colonia has a market in it as well with fresh fruits and vegetables. Being so close to the beach was awesome as well – only about a 5 second walk from the back door and you’re there! The condo is in perfect location too as when most of the locals come to the beach, they go closer to the town, so the beach area around the condo is always quiet with only a few people here and there. We never felt crowded. The town itself was only about a 10 minute walk from the condo. You can go via the beach or the road, but with limited breeze on the road, be prepared to sweat like crazy! The locals and shop owners are friendly and don’t hassle you too much, and every Wednesday they have Mexican Night and lots of people show up and have small booths with little trinkets and souvenirs that are cool to look at. Also make sure to get a nutella and cheese Churro from the Churro Man (they are actually crepes but thats neither here nor there). He comes for Mexican night all the time too. Travelling to and from the condo was incredibly easy. The town itself has a Collectivo (a bus or large van) that comes by about every 15 minutes and is only 5 pesos a person to get into Colonia. They pick you up and drop you off wherever you want; you just have to flag them down. We took the highway Collectivo’s to Tulum and to Playa del Carmen and it was really quite easy. Only about 20 pesos a person to Playa and a bit more to get to Tulum. Going into Playa made us really appreciate the quietness of Puerto Morelos though. Playa is packed with people and shops and is quite commercialized, while Puerto Morelos is really laid back. Often times we felt like we were the only tourists in the town! We loved our time there and would definitely go back!

Owner response: Honeymoooooners! We are so happy for you and wish you many years of happiness together, we were privileged to have you stay in our home in Puerto Morelos. It sounds like you did lots of exploring as well as taking time to relax on the 'crowded' (hahahaha) beach! Thanks for taking the time to share your experience, we hope you will one day return to Condo de Los Amigos where the beginning of your journey as a married couple began!

Condo De Los Amigos
Our stay in this beautiful condo was excellent, the welcome was evident as soon as you open the door to enter this home and pride of ownership shows throughout, our beds were clean and very comfortable and the kitchen was outfitted with all one would need on vacation, opening your patio door to enjoy the pool only steps away is a beautiful plus. Being challenged with mobility issues we found it a treat to be able to walk to the beach only a few steps away from the condo, and also to walk into town was for us enjoyable, if we ventured to far then we only had to wait a moment to find a taxi very willing to return us to our holiday "home" for very minimal cost. The local residents are very happy to help you and give suggestions for places to go etc, we even ventured into Cancun for a baseball game! There was so much happening, I don't think we noticed the game until the last inning, certainly nothing like that in North America, so much fun I would love to go again. There are so many sites to visit in the area one could be hard pressed to rest and relax if you tried to see them all. We truly loved PM so many places to eat recommended by the owners, you need a far longer holiday to try them all, even venturing into La Colonia to eat and purchase fruit was fun and I would definitely want to return if only to try the shrimp and avocado salad at a place we did not make it to. Took in a cooking class while there from one of several guest chefs at the school down the street from the condo, and now feel a little more confident in perhaps cooking the wonderful cuisine in our own home. Would we return? Most certainly, the beautiful beaches , warm ocean and sunny skies are calling already. Thank you for allowing us to celebrate a very special birthday in your beautiful home away from home, You gave us many happy memories .

Owner response: Glad you enjoyed celebrating year #75 in PoMo! This was your second trip to Condo de Los Amigos and it sounds like you enjoyed all that Puerto Morelos has to offer and then some! I hope we have the privilege of having you return to PoMo for trip #3!
Are you looking for Paradise? Then Condo De Los Amigos is the place for you. You will enjoy the beautiful soft sand of the Mayan Riviera, azul seas of the Caribbean and the warm and friendly hospitality of the Mexican people, all while staying at this charming condo in Puerto Morelos. We have a fabulous 12 days relaxing at the beach or by the pool, wandering the streets of this quaint fishing village and exploring the beach. Our stay could not have been more perfect. To our great delight when we arrived we found the condo beautifully decorated in comfortable Mexican style. The amenities suited us well and we found the kitchen and in suite laundry useful for the those times when we decided to stay in to cook for ourselves. A very wonderful taxi driver recommended by the condo owners took us to the nearby supermarket and even helped explain some of the produce we were not familiar with. It was fun to buy and try new foods and equally as fun to sample some of the various restaurants in town. The condo complex was maintained daily and the condo itself was cleaned regularly during our stay.We would highly recommend this property for your holiday plans. The owners were very accommodating in giving us directions, recommending their favourite restaurants and providing us with contact information our transportation needs. Although we were happy to stay close at hand and simply relax, there are day trips available to nearby Tulum and other sites which we would definitely participate in next time. Next time can't come soon enough! The charm of this condo and the beautiful Mayan Riviera are calling to us to return soon. Enjoy!!

Owner response: Thank you for such a wonderful review of your stay at Condo de Los Amigos in Puerto Morelos, we are so glad our home was to your liking and that you enjoyed your vacation. Puerto Morelos certainly is the right vacation destination for 'relaxing'... for such a small Village you can find lots to be involved with or simply enjoy the slow pace of life, my personal favourite thing in PoMo besides the amazing food is the beach, and lots of it! We hope you and Jose will consider returning for another adventure in the future!
Better than I could imagine!
Better than I could imagine!
I am always on guard when renting a place sight unseen, and with no recommendations from someone I know and trust, but I can say that you CAN trust every review for this place! Steve and Anne were in close contact with us from the time we made the initial inquiry until we arrived back home. They provided us so much information via email on the condo, the location, the amenities and more. We arrived after a long flight and when we walked in the iron gate of the condo complex, we knew right away that we made the right choice. The grounds are immaculate, very lush and inviting. The condo itself was PERFECT! Even better than described, I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to open the door and feel like you were "home", but not "home". The master bath was enormous and beautiful They have placed a decorative mirror in there that is stunning, I looked all over town for one like it, but was unable to. The entire condo is tastefully decorated. We never turned on the TV, but it was a large modern flat screen, and there were plenty of DVDs to play if you wanted to stay in and veg for the evening. The kitchen was completely outfitted with pots, pans, dinner and glass wear, serving platters and bowls. We even found storage containers for our restaurant leftovers and serving pitchers for our homemade margaritas! My husband came home from the market with a can of sweetened condensed milk and I was worried about opening it. They had the perfect assortment of can openers, including the punch type of opener we needed. They even had a pair of scissors, I would never have thought we would find a pair in a rental condo. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of closet space. I loved the colorful wall hangings on the walls and the Mexican blankets used as accent color on the chairs and beds. The air conditioners worked very well to keep us comfortable, but opening the sliders and the windows and turning on the ceiling fans worked well during the early mornings and in the evening. Every day we would walk out our door, pass by the incredibly clean pool, walk for 30 seconds, and be on a stunning beach looking at the clear blue waters of the ocean. Overall, this was a great vacation in a great condo. I highly recommend Condo De Los Amigos to anyone looking for a place in Puerto Morelos.

Doce Noches Buena
Doce Noches Buena
We have rented vacation apartments, condos and homes on 5 continents, and rarely have they lived up to their billings. Condo De Los Amigos exceeded its billings. During Christmas 2012/New Years 2013, we rented Condo De Los Amigos for 12 nights. I enjoy the traditional Christmas cervizia called Noche Buena, and my family enjoyed our stay for doce noches at Los Amigos. Everything Steve and Anne described in their VRBO presentation was true, and we found many more amenities that they didn't mention. The first floor poolside Condo is very nicely appointed, well equipped, superbly maintained and immaculately clean, reflecting on the high standards of the whole condo project. It is convenient to the beach, not more than a 3 minute walk, and to the Playa Village Square, where the church and many restaurants can be found, which is a 10 minute walk or a 3 minute drive. Another 5 minute drive will take you to the less touristy town just west of Hy 307 which has a Square, several churches, many fruit stands and several good authentic Mexican restaurants. We highly recommend Los Amigos. The only disappointing thing was Michigan's loss to South Carolina in the Outback Bowl. Yes, the Condo has a TV that works! Unlike political advertisements in the recent US election, Steve and Anne did not approve this message. Wolverines in Mexico

Had such a relaxing vacation. The condo is so close to the beach to pop over for a drink from the beach bar or just a dip in the ocean but excluded enough to spend the afternoon listening to music by the pool. Within walking distance from SO MANY amazing restaurants. Would definitely go back! Thank you so much.

We loved our stay at Condo De Los Amigos! From the moment we opened the iron gate and walked through the lush tropical plants to the front door... this is one of the nicest places we have ever been. The colorful condo has a high ceiling open feel with spacious bedrooms and baths. We slept well on the comfortable king size bed. A private building pool is just outside the door. Our favorite part was just open the back gate and you are just steps away from the dock which leads to the nicest beach access in PM. We took many early morning and late night walks on the beach. We also enjoyed the small town feel of Puerto Morelos. We always felt safe and the friendly people made you feel like part of the small town family. The management company helped with anything we needed. Everything the owners recommended for dining was great..we also enjoyed "i wanna pizza" with the hand toss dough and brick oven cooking. After a stressful couple of years the relaxation was exactly what we needed. We highly recommend Condo De Los Amigos and hope to be back soon... there is so much more to experience.

About the owner: Puerto Morelos is our home away from home! We are Mexico junkies, with each trip we come home planning our next adventure and look at our calendar trying to figure out when the next gap of time is so we can head back to the sun! As we live in the cold North, having our eyes fixated on a warmer experience is no surprise. We are hooked... we've done the time shares, all inclusive resorts, bed and breakfasts, and cruising, for us nothing compares to the simple quieter life than parts of Mexico can offer. Puerto Morelos for us was like reaching down into a cereal box not quite knowing what the mystery gift was going to be!
