Next stop - the USA! This is a beautiful house with a gorgeous interior (the owner is an interior designer) and all conceivable modern conveniences (even a Nespresso machine!), located in the village of Dunquin on about 1 acre, overlooking the world-famous Blasket Islands. Pamper yourself, relax in the idyllic setting and explore the surrounding country-side - some of the most stunning coastline in Ireland. The house is located close to Kruger's Pub and over the mountain from Paidi O'Sheas - another lively venue.
Dingle town, with all of its amenities, is a 15 minute drive away - this truly is the best of all worlds, nestled in the peace and tranquility of the countryside with some top class restaurants to hand. The Ceann Sibeal links golf-course is a 5 minute drive and the beach a 3 minute drive. But you may not want to actually leave this house - it really is amazingly therapeutic to gaze out at the Blaskets from the dining table with a glass of wine, whatever the season ...

It's just what you want when you reach the end of the earth. Breathtaking views, a cozy fire, grassy cliffs, and the Atlantic Ocean in your face. We spent a Halloween weekend here with kids and friends. Trick or treated among the nearby houses and finished at the local pub. A short drive to Dingle. A world away from everywhere.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This house provided the perfect location, and amazing accommodations for our week-long vacation on which we had 3 grandparents, plus 2 couples with 4 kids total. The house had plenty of room for all of us, and room to spare. The children found costumes in the loft play-room which kept them busy for hours. We took different walking routes from the house each day and found new treasures every time. We were able to eat and drink in Ventry and Dingle town daily, then escape to this quiet retreat nightly. The fireplace made the cool nights that much better. The cab drivers knew right where to bring us when we had too many pints. The kids made friends with such a friendly dog from the neighborhood, which they still talk about weeks after returning home to the USA. We will definitely rent this house again next year.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2002
About the owner: Currently living in Dublin after spending many years living in the leafy village of Kew in London. That is me (in the brown raincoat) on our nearest beach having a picnic with friends and family. Wellie boots, raincoats, wet suits, suncream, we just make the most of whatever weather we get.
Why the Owner Chose Dingle:
My husband and I decided to build this property after we found the perfect site for a house in Dún Chaoin, just west of Dingle. As a child I have lots of happy family holiday memories from this part of Kerry. It used to take us about 7 hours to drive from Dublin to Dingle in the '80s! Thankfully with the new roads it takes 4 hours to drive from Dublin now.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We love going to Dún Chaoin at every opportunity we get as a family, a couple or with groups of friends. When you are sitting at the dining table looking out over the ever changing seascape and the Blasket Islands, all your troubles and everyday stresses are left behind. I love the winter, on front of our big open fire, listening to a howling gale and watching the rain come in from the sea. The children love going to Kerry too, there is so much to do in the house and it is their down time too. Relaxing and recharging , complete soul food is how I see our visits to Dún Chaoin. Our home is quaint with modern comforts, a stylish interior and has beautiful views.
