This is the second time we have stayed in this cabin, this time for 8 nights. It was GREAT! On night 4, the black bear came calling, sniffed around the fire pit, and then ambled back across the road and into the woods. Five wild turkeys came around a couple of times a day feeding in the front yard. We hiked at Cataloochee and Greenbriar, both short drives away. We will be back next Spring.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers.

We stayed for a week in June and really enjoyed Bear Springs cabin. The location is great. I think we saw one other car go down the road the entire week but you are still only 10-15 minutes away from several places to get groceries (including Wal-Mart) and many places to eat. We explored the area and picked wild blackberries with the kids. You are also VERY close (5-10 min.)to the Cosby entrance of the Smoky Mountains National Park. We hiked some really great trails in that area of the park while we were there, as well as in the main area of the park which is about a 30 minute drive or so. The hot tub and fire pits were fantastic. The inside of the cabin is very spacious. Plenty of room for our family to spread out and everything was SPOTLESS when we arrived. Very clean...almost like we were the first ones to ever stay there. The beds were really comfortable as well. If we return to the Smokies, we will definitely be staying here again. It was great...can't say enough good things about it :)Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

My family and I just returned from a weekend getaway to this cabin. I must say I was very impressed at how clean the cabin was, and the kitchen had everything you need to prepare anything. We are looking forward to many more trips to this cabin. The seclusion was exactly what we were looking for too, plus the huge yard was great for the children to run around. Also, the booking process was a breeze and they were very helpful.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We chose this cabin from several others and we were glad we did. Clean, comfortable, well located and quiet with all the ammenities that we needed. We are hikers and this cabin was close to the Greenbrier section of the Smokies and not far from the Cataloochee section. We will definitely stay here again when we go back to the Smokies.Recommended for: Age 55+.

We stayed in this cabin for five nights. It was our first experience renting a cabin and we will never rent a hotel room again. Bear Springs cabin was fantastic. The property was immaculately clean and described perfectly. The furnishing were all new and looked great. The hot tub and jacuzzi tub in the master bath were wonderful. We enjoyed the satellite TV and my children liked having the upstairs loft, bedroom and bath to themselves. We were able to stretch out and enjoy our stay without being on top of one another in a small hotel room. It was also great to have 2.5 bathrooms. I loved the washer and dryer. I was able to keep up with laundry so we did not have any wet towels or have to do tons of laundry when we got home from vacation. We saved lots of money by preparing our meals in the cabin. The property is off of the beaten path and we saw one car the entire week, but we were only a couple of miles from gas stations and a great restaurant. There is a fantastic farmers market at Carver's Restaurant about 2 miles away. We took our kids to the on-site candy store four times! Super Walmart is only 9 miles away. The cabin was about 25 minutes from Gatlinburg so we were centrally located to rafting companies, caverns, and the National Park. We are already talking about booking the cabin again next year!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
