If you need to free yourself of today's struggles and demands, or just relax---this is the place for you. Over 2000sq' of living space.
You awaken each morning overlooking the lake from 40' above in a king Tempur -Pedic bed. You have an adjoining sitting room and an ensuite bath with washer and dryer. The most incredible sights are in view every season.
A 4' wide pine stairwell takes you down to the reading and music area on the main floor where there is a second bedroom and a second bathroom then you are lead out to a screened porch where you can have your breakfast or lunch in rainy weather or protection from the bugs.
Back to the main floor you have a full kitchen with Kitchen Aid stainless appliances including a dishwasher and a glass cooktop.. Prepare food to take to the large stainless BQ outside on the lakeside deck, watch TV, or enjoy the roaring fire during the winter months.
There is a cozy corner window bench to relax or sleep on (single width size--can sleep 2)--with an opened window you hear the many subtle sounds of summer. And a perfect place for a snooze on a cold winter's day after cross country skiing or snowshoeing across the lake--or just watching snowflakes fall over the lake on a snowy day.
Relax on the sofa watching TV (1 Channel-42' flat screen) a DVD or lay back and read your favourite book listening to the Bose Wave Music System. Work away with wireless internet while on your vacation.
The lake front deck is large and 20' above the water's edge with a beautiful view of the lake and yet has privacy from passing boats.
Down a meandering terraced stone pathway, you are led to the cabana. It is situated on the rocks above the water's edge, screened with french sliding doors. A private little hideaway for two, reading, sipping a cup of tea, chatting,a lazy afternoon siesta or having a glass of wine in the evening. There is a small deck beside the cabana as an outdoor sitting space over the water.
On the opposite side of the Lake House, down the fieldstone steps, is the Boathouse. A mini like hotel suite with a 2 pc bath ,a queen bed, decks and tucked away into the hillside under the trees is a sitting area overlooking the water. Perfect for that 3rd. couple or a teens private space.
Bring your fishing rods. If you have a motor boat it must be moored and the boat launch is a 3 minute drive from the property--a 3-5 min.boatride back to the property.
We can accomodate an RV at an extra cost. Beside the Lake House is an outdoor enclosed shower with a rain head.
Cross country ski on trails near by or just go down the steps and across the lake.
Snow shoe across the lake to one of the islands or stop and have a chat with one of the fisherman in his fish hut.
The lake is 5 miles across and 7 miles long. Clear and deep with a hard bottom--no weeds.
This spot is most suitable for 1 - 2 - or 3 couples.
A girls getaway or retreat- can sleep 6 and more if you bring your sleeping bags.
Perfect for your wedding night or dress rehearsal and wedding party. Have family and friends join you the following day for opening gifts or get together.-----Catering can be provided upon request.
Guided Hiking Tours with an experienced local beaver trapper.During the winter months you can experience the trade of trapping and all that nature has to provide in the wilderness with a day trip or an over night camp.
You can also fly in , land on the water or ice and just walk up the steps to the Lake House.
All linens are provided. Bring your suitcase and food.
I am looking forward to have you experience for even just a short time what I have experienced every day.
Sincerely .
Patricia

The wedding is over and we are back home, but I still feel like I am in a relaxed, dreamy and romantic state. Patricia, your enchanting home was the perfect setting for our wedding. I am almost certain that romance is lingering and whispering through the pines with the breeze from the lake. The grounds and gardens provided quaint backgrounds for pictures that captured our joy on our special day. Our private suite upstairs seems like it is meant for a bride and groom and provided ample space for the girls and I to settle nerves and get ready for the big moment. Every one of the wedding guests commented on how extraordinary your home was. We all had a wonderful time after the wedding relaxing in the indoor living space, on the deck, at the waters edge, and strolling through the perennial gardens. Thank you so much Patricia! PS. We also loved the special touch of fresh flowers you placed throughout the house.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We just enjoyed a relaxing 4 days here at the Lakehouse on Round Lake. We booked off this site - the pictures do not capture the true essence of this spectacular spot. The energy to my partner and I was exactly what we were looking for - to just get away together for some R and R, do some great cooking and enjoy the outdoors. he tempur posturepedic bed was a real treat and we slept so well here. The owner has created quite a beautiful experience and we were lucky to have been (and will come back!)Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Thank you S&T. I now know that what I am creating will be condusive to my guests well being. These reviews are encouraging me to continue improving to a point where you will leave for home not only rejuvinated from lifes many stressers but also the extras which I will be offering in the future will make you want to return for more. Patrici

We had so much fun at this property we barely ever left- it has everything you need for a complete vacation. My husband is a chef and he was happily pleased with the kitchen set up plus Patricia allowed us to her spices and extras which was a huge help. In addition there were fresh veggies and herbs from her garden! She has a great stock of kitchen gadgets too and wide open countertops from which you can see the lake, garden and birdfeeders. There is an outside wood stove where we did most of our barbequing then we ate our meals in the garden overlooking the lake. Afternoons were spent exploring on the canoe or just down at the Spahouse or napping in the cabana. The property is actually much bigger than shown in the photos! The entire place is IMMACULATELY clean and I think we could have eaten off the floors if we wanted to! Patricia even had a stock of peanuts on hands for our 7 year old to fed the chipmunks that came by! On the second day, without us even saying anything, she brought by 2 fishing rods! Unfortunately fishing licenses were so expensive (over $100) that we decided against fishing but her hospitality was top notch. My only suggestion for improvement would that it would be very helpful for them to accept Paypal for deposits. But otherwise the place feels just like home... but with a better view and amenities I wish we had! Thanks for a wonderful time!!! -B,J & K from Las Vegas, NVRecommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you so much B, J and Keita for the wonderful review!!!!!!!!I.m glad to hear you enjoyed your vacation at the Lake House and had a chance to visit another part of the world. I sure will be looking into paypal so that I can accomodate my international guests. Patricia

Hi Patricia, We just wanted to thank you again for a most restorative weekend at your place. You have a truly lovely home in an idyllic location. We felt spolied for choice for places to lounge, and with such great decor, we really felt like we were at a high-end resort! We hope that we can come up again in September, perhaps with another couple this time. Can't wait to return!Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We just returned home from our vacation at this property, and it definetly was everything that we saw in the pictures and in the description we read. The home is very spacious and was very clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing holiday. The peace, tranquility, the everchanging facets of the lake and the view from the bedroom windows were amazing. The place has a quiet relaxing atmosphere. The property is very well maintained with beautiful gardens. Overall, a very private and peaceful experience.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: It was a pleasure having these guests vacation at the Lake House. It was also a treat to have others enjoy such a special place. Thank you , and looking forward to your next vacation here.
