Great swimming, fishing, boating, sunbathing...relaxing!
NEW!!! Now offering Recreation Room w/ pool table, pinball machines and much more, plus and 2 additional bedrooms and 2 additional bathrooms!
Wake to the call of the loons and drink your coffee on the deck just steps from the shores of Beech Hill Pond. Although it's name says "Pond", Beech Hill is actually a beautiful, crystal clear 4 1/2 mile long, 1 mile wide spring-fed lake. Spend your days swimming and fishing off the dock, boating, or simply reading in the hammock. Look across the lake to the surrounding mountains for breathtaking views. There is a extra large, flat, sand area at the water's edge, great for relaxing in the sun or playing beach games.
Or, plan to take a thirty-minute drive to Mount Desert Island, home of world-famous Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Go hiking, biking, sightseeing, whale-watching, shopping, and much more. Discover all that this unique area has to offer. Located in the heart of down-east Maine, the cabin is also conveniently located thirty minutes from both Bangor International and Bar Harbor Airports.
The cabin was completely renovated in 2003 and now boasts a huge, custom-pine kitchen complete with a breakfast bar and all-new appliances, including dishwasher and garbage disposal. The open living and dining area has ample comfortable seating with two sleeper sofas and easy chair. It also has an extra large table, with, seating for 12, offering room enough for dining and game-playing to take place at the same time! No matter where you stand in the kitchen or living area, your treated to beautiful 180 degree views of the lake through large windows and two sliding glass doors that access the deck and covered porch (both of which have spectacular close-up views of the lake).
The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and master bath with shower. The two other bedrooms each have full-size beds, and each have a separate, sliding-glass door onto the covered deck, again with spectacular views of the lake.
The downstairs offers a large rec room with pool table, foosball, 2 retro full-sized pinball machines, darts; plus 2 more bedrooms, 2 more bathrooms and washer and dryer. Come and enjoy!!

We had an absolute blast at Beech Hill Pond. The weather was great (thanks for arranging that!), with only about one day of rain. We had the fire pit going every night and thoroughly enjoyed the cool nights. We have had an almost-record-breaking summer this year in Dallas with 68 days of triple-digit temperatures, so Maine really hit the spot. The house was great, with plenty of room for 6 adults & 4 kids. Thanks for the canoe referral - we used them both every day. You have a great location on the lake, and we are open to returning one day. Thanks again!

Taken from "Happy Days" Lodge Guest Book: "What an excellent time staying here was. We are from Dover, NH attending a family wedding. Our first day here was gorgeous, we were able to kayak on the first day. The days during the wedding events were cloudy and rainy-the 15th we had the wind from Hurricane "IKE". We rode our bikes on that day. The next 2 days were the best-we had breakfast on the dock both mornings. These days were spent kayaking and biking- Bar Harbor is only 30 minutes away-took our bikes there and biked from The Hulls Cove Visitors Center around Eagle Lake, Jordon Pond and Bubble Pond. The camp was the best experience in renting-nothing was missing. A walk to the Otis General Store was a perfect morning exercise. Thank you for sharing "Happy Days" with us!"

"We are a family with three 12 & 13 year old boys. We cannot say enough about how wonderful the game room is. That you allowed our boys to play your pinball machines was great. We invited 6 of their friends for 4 days of our vacation and multiple times they said that the camp is so much fun. The house was a #10 on a scale of 1-10. Very clean, which is appreciated. Although I don't think the boys noticed, I did. No smell or musty odors, too - which is pleasant. The kitchen provided everything. So unusual for a rental. Again, appreciated. The fact that you provided firewood, lighters, dish soap, laundry soap was huge. Very thoughtful. The accommodations were perfect. Very comfortable beds - far better than we expected. Great sleeping - esp. after hiking the Acadia trails. Mid-week we used your binoculars to spot 2 sets of antlers in the middle of the lake. Turns out they were 2 moose! Although we've lived in Maine 10 years, this is only our 2nd sighting. If you will have us - I'm sure we'll be back. Thank you"

"We had such a wonderful time here @ "Happy Days" with family...Plenty of room outdoors-porches included... Plenty of linens of all kinds, alot of fun games, books for children-TV VCR Radio, etc. although hardly used...There are so many available things to work with in the kitchen-we are grateful! We'd love to come again adding the camp [you own] next door..."
