Enjoy the Four Seasons of Maine, at its BEST!: SPRING and SUMMER:
Wake to the call of the loons and drink your coffee on the deck just steps from the shores of Beech Hill Pond. Although it's name says 'Pond', Beech Hill is actually a beautiful, crystal clear 4 1/2 mile long, 1 mile wide spring-fed lake.
Enjoy the private dock and spend your days swimming, fishing, boating (canoe/kayak rentals can be delivered right to the cabin), or simply reading in the hammock. Gaze across the lake to the surrounding hills for breathtaking views.
The open deck and covered porch with hot tub provide guests options for sunbathing, star-gazing or enjoying a shady spot to enjoy the view.
There is a large, flat, sand area at the water's edge, great for relaxing in the sun or playing beach games. Picnic tables and chairs provide plenty of lakeside seating.
The fire pit at the water's edge is perfect for end of the day enjoyment...and firewood is provided!
FALL:
Maine's warm fall days and cool, crisp nights are perfect for fishing, hunting, biking, hiking, sightseeing, and reveling in spectacular fall foliage. WINTER:
Ice fishing, skating, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, kite-flying on the lake...are just a few of the activities to enjoy at 'Happy Days' Lodge!
Great for holidays, reunions, special celebrations...

Taken from "How Was Your Vacation @ Happy Days Lodge" Guest Feedback Sheet: It was everything we'd hoped it would be. The lake couldn't be cleaner or prettier! The house has everything we needed. It was particularly nice to have wi-fi internet access for those of us who can't completely stop working.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful place on Beech Hill Pond with us! We had family from one end of the country to the other visiting with children and grandchildren..and all enjoyed the water, kayaking, and cooking smores on the campfire as well as just spending time together in such a pristine spot. The place had everything that we needed. Loved it!!!Owner response: We LOVE hearing about families that enjoy our lodge as much as we do! Since we gather at Happy Days with 4 generations of our own family as often as we can, we know how special it is to find the "perfect" spot. We couldn't find one that had everything we wanted, so we created our own for our family and to share with others. For us, Happy Days is the perfect spot because it allows us to have one place that we can all be together, with room to spread out, both inside and out. We find that there's always something to do for all ages in our family whether the weather cooperates or not! We, too, enjoy campfires and star gazing at night, spotting loons and eagles, fishing, swimming, cannonballs off the dock, kayaking, strolls to the beach at the head of the lake or down the 7 mile road that follows the entire west shore, and sun bathing if the weather's good. If not, we play board games, cards, read, soak in the hot tub, have pinball and pool tournaments, cook and enjoy meals together, watch movies or our favorite sports and TV shows on the internet or satellite TV, and reminisce while making new memories...perfect!

We had an absolute blast at Beech Hill Pond. The weather was great (thanks for arranging that!), with only about one day of rain. We had the fire pit going every night and thoroughly enjoyed the cool nights. We have had an almost-record-breaking summer this year in Dallas with 68 days of triple-digit temperatures, so Maine really hit the spot. The house was great, with plenty of room for 6 adults & 4 kids. Thanks for the canoe referral - we used them both every day. You have a great location on the lake, and we are open to returning one day. Thanks again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Taken from "Happy Days" Lodge Guest Book: "What an excellent time staying here was. We are from Dover, NH attending a family wedding. Our first day here was gorgeous, we were able to kayak on the first day. The days during the wedding events were cloudy and rainy-the 15th we had the wind from Hurricane "IKE". We rode our bikes on that day. The next 2 days were the best-we had breakfast on the dock both mornings. These days were spent kayaking and biking- Bar Harbor is only 30 minutes away-took our bikes there and biked from The Hulls Cove Visitors Center around Eagle Lake, Jordon Pond and Bubble Pond. The camp was the best experience in renting-nothing was missing. A walk to the Otis General Store was a perfect morning exercise. Thank you for sharing "Happy Days" with us!"Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

"We are a family with three 12 & 13 year old boys. We cannot say enough about how wonderful the game room is. That you allowed our boys to play your pinball machines was great. We invited 6 of their friends for 4 days of our vacation and multiple times they said that the camp is so much fun. The house was a #10 on a scale of 1-10. Very clean, which is appreciated. Although I don't think the boys noticed, I did. No smell or musty odors, too - which is pleasant. The kitchen provided everything. So unusual for a rental. Again, appreciated. The fact that you provided firewood, lighters, dish soap, laundry soap was huge. Very thoughtful. The accommodations were perfect. Very comfortable beds - far better than we expected. Great sleeping - esp. after hiking the Acadia trails. Mid-week we used your binoculars to spot 2 sets of antlers in the middle of the lake. Turns out they were 2 moose! Although we've lived in Maine 10 years, this is only our 2nd sighting. If you will have us - I'm sure we'll be back. Thank you"Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
