Andros’ natural environment is a unique combination of captivating Cycladic beauty and Greek nature. Natural springs surging from the island’s soil have created a green landscape filled with high mountains and picturesque paths making up the ideal scenery for wonderful hikes in nature.
The beaches found all around the island are known for their crystal-clear waters. Whether remote and quiet or popular with several amenities the beaches of Andros suit all tastes.
Traditional dishes are cooked with local products and served in small restaurants (called the ‘taverna’) found at the most picturesque locations on the island.
Cultural events are an important and essential part of the history of Andros. The museum of contemporary art every year hosts exhibitions of renowned Greek and foreign artists constituting an attraction for art-lovers.
Chora (the capital of Andros) is standing gracious, traditional and timeless; old neoclassical houses with little lanes in between make up a romantic setting taking you to another era.
Andros has managed to preserve the traditional features in the architecture of its houses. Stone and wood are the main raw materials used up until now in the greater part of the island, while the setting changes when approaching Chora, where one can find impressive neoclassical houses.
The island of Andros is reached very easily from Athens; ferries leave from the port of Rafina which is 20 minutes by car from Athens International Airport. The ferry crossing lasts 2 hours.
The property, extending in 1,5 acres(6.000 m2) of land, includes a main house which is an old farm house fully renovated and a separate stone Cottage. The Main House comprises three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room with fire place and a fully equipped kitchen. The Cottage is a one room House comprising bathroom, kitchen and fire place. Both Houses have large shaded stone terraces in front with breathtaking view of the Sun setting over the Aegean Sea and other Cycladic islands. The swimming pool, facing again the same beautiful view, is close to another large shaded stone terrace with BBQ, mini bar and a big wooden dinning table where once a week(with extra cost) BBQ dinner with local food can be organized. The garden has a variety of fruit trees, a vineyard and is full of beautiful flowers. Seasonal fruits and home made marmalades from our trees as well as tsipouro (a local distillate like Grappa) from our vineyard are offered to our guests.
Cleaning service is provided twice a week.

Incredible site, terracing, pool, outside kitchen, view. Traditional old farmhouse was historic and worked great for group of six. Great water pressure, laundry facilities, and it was easy to cook dinner and dine at sunset on the beautiful stone terraces. Owners were fantastically helpful and attentive. Andros is a wonderful rural island, very peaceful, with goats, stone walls everywhere, and a few little port towns to visit. Beaches fantastic and close to house, dinners in Batsi especially fun. Andros ceramics in Batsi as well, really great souvenirs. We truly enjoyed our time there!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.
