Westminster apartment description
Recently renovated (August 2011) to luxury standards, "Greenhaven" is an impeccably designed and furnished five-star quality apartment on one of London's most beautiful Garden Squares centrally located in SW1, one of London's most posh areas, between Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, and the trendy shops Belgravia, Chelsea and Knigntsbridge.
Within a 5-minute walk to the Underground and a variety of restaurants, cafes, and pubs, Greenhaven is the perfect choice for the discerning traveler who wants LUXURY ACCOMMODATIONS, A SUPERB LEVEL OF CARE & COMFORT, OUTSTANDING MONEY-SAVINGS AMENITIES, and a SAFE, SECURE and CONVENIENT LOCATION (Pimlico, one block from Belgravia in Central London, Zone 1) all at a VERY COMPETITIVE PRICE when compared to most private rentals and decent hotels in London.
Beyond these factors are Greenhaven's welcoming touches: a FREE private car service from Gatwick/Heathrow upon arrival for those staying a week or more, a fully-stocked complimentary spirits bar (including vodka, gin, scotch, rum, Pims, and mixers/soft drinks), a Nespresso machine with 16 different coffees, a fine selection of English teas & biscuits, a bottle each of French wine and English ale and cider, and an assortment of European chocolates and candies. About the owner: I have been offering luxury holiday accommodations since 1999, with properties in Napa Valley, California, Paris and the South of France. London is my latest location. Residential design and decor is my passion so I strive to provide more expressive, more beautiful and more functional dwelling places that are several cuts above most other vacation rentals. As I live part-time in all these places, each functions as a 'home' -- not just a rental property. Hence, each has a personal style that reflects its unique character and location, quality furnishings and decor and a level of convenience, comfort and attention to detail not usually found in properties that are exclusively used as rentals. My philosophy is that I would never rent a property that I would not stay in. So, putting myself into my guests’ shoes, I aim to 'think of everything’ to make a stay a most positive and memorable experience. I just started renting Greenhaven in Fall 2011 so I'm in the process of collecting guest testimonials. To get an idea of the quality of my rentals and guest service, just google 'yourparispenthouse' and 'charmingfrenchcottage' to see dozens of positive comments from those who have stayed at one of my my French properties -- "The LIttle Dream in the Sky", a luxury penthouse in Paris, and "The Little Charm", a charming stone cottage in the vineyards of Languedoc.
Why the Owner Chose Westminster:
I've lived in London for a few years and when buying a property I wanted to find a location that combined all the best aspects Central London -- proximity to major sites, underground stations, shopping, etc, but with a traditional London feel -- at my doorstep. Eccleston Square is it! And its private garden is just breathtaking. From outside of Greenhaven, the view is a scaled-down version of Central Park. You see the upper branches of plane trees, swirls of clematis, gaudy explosions of climbing roses and, here and there, the opposite side of Eccleston Square, towards London SW1, one of the most posh addresses in London. When you get into the garden, you wouldn't know you’re in the heart of a world-renown international city with its wonderful sights and experiences on your doorstop. When you smell the flowers and hear the blackbirds London seems to disappear. Eccleston Square came about when town planner Thomas Cubitt, who developed it in 1845, had the idea of gathering everybody's back gardens together. Around the periphery, a shady walk takes you though arches of wisteria and clematis. For garden buffs, there is a handkerchief tree from China -- and some of the irises came from Monet's garden in Giverny. The Garden Square has won many awards not only for its botanical beauty but also for its well integrated features, such as several patios, glass conservatory, tennis court, and play and BBQ areas.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
I love to roll out my door and not only see this beautiful garden but also be within a few minutes walk of a variety of upscale shops, restaurants and cafes mixed with old-time vendors. It's very upscale yet very real 'old-world' England. And it's so convenient to get anywhere in London as the apartment is a 5 minute walk to 8 different underground lines.
