Waterloo is a district of London, and also a part of the London Borough of Lambeth. It is connected to the north bank of the River Thames via the Waterloo Bridge, which is so-named as a commemoration to the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. In fact, Waterloo Road, upon which this apartment is located, also dates all the way back to this time, and it was built on land once belonging to the Archbishop of Canterbury. The historical significance of this location really cannot be overstated.
The Waterloo Penthouse is a 2,000 square foot, 2-bedroom, 3-bathroom dwelling, located in one of London's most historic, in-demand areas, Waterloo.
The living room is tastefully decorated, with a dining table, six chairs, and two sofas. For entertainment, there's also a flat-screen television, a DVD player, an MP3-compatible stereo, and high-speed internet access without restrictions as to the amount of data transfer taken place. You also have your own personal terrace, overlooking beautiful Waterloo Road and beyond.
Both bedrooms boast Queen-sized beds, with quality mattresses, bedding, and linen, to ensure a good night's rest. Both also boast full en-suite bathrooms, inclusive of showers. In the other bathroom, the main one, there's even a generous-sized bathtub, in addition to a shower.
-South Bank, a significant arts and entertainment district, is only a short walk away.
-The Old Vic, a historic theatre that was established in 1818, is just 2 minutes by foot from the apartment.
-The Anchor & Hope, a wonderful, local gastropub, is 5 minutes away.
-The London Eye, which is Europe's tallest ferris wheel and the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom, is only a short walk away.
-The Design Museum, famed for being the alleged first museum of modern design, is also in the area.
-Shakespeare's Globe, a reconstruction of the burned-down Globe Theatre, is one of London's best playhouses.
-Trafalgar Square, a public space that is often used for political demonstrations and community gatherings, is near to the apartment.
-Big Ben, the great bell of the clock at the north end of the famed Palace of Westminster, is just across the river.

We boast a free high-speed (WiFi) internet connection, a telephone (for incoming calls only), a television, and all other modern conveniences.
The apartment will be stocked with coffee (instant), tea, sugar, milk pottles (UHT), oil, salt and pepper. The bathrooms will be stocked with soap, shower gel, toilet paper, and detergents for the washing machine (clothes) and the dishwasher.
Standard household items include a coffee plunger, a clothes iron and ironing board, a hair dryer, and a clothes drying horse.
All linen is provided, including all bedding and blankets and towels for the bathrooms.
Both bedrooms are doubles and come furnished with double bed, duvet, and duvet cover. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with its own shower, basin, and toilet. Both bedrooms have double glazed windows and very well sound insulated floors. Overall, the rooms are very light, airy, and have a clean, crisp décor, with ample space and a comfortable, quiet aura, to ensure a good night's rest.
The apartment has two bathrooms; one being an ensuite to the master bedroom. Both bathrooms have a modern finish with sleek cream tiles and contemporary features and fittings. They're fully stocked with soaps, shower gels, shampoo, and conditioner. We also provide ample linen, towels, and toilet paper for your stay.
We can also provide a cleaning service if you wish (see extra services below). For a small fee, we will clean your entire apartment and provide fresh linen and towels.

We loved it was within walking distance to so many of the tourist sites, or you could catch the tube which was about a 7 min walk at Waterloo Station.

Large, Modern apartment Near Waterloo Station
We stayed here a week. Apartment was very large, with modern appliances, bathrooms, and furnishings. Has elevator, which not every building has. Was quiet. The 3 bathrooms, 2 with showers, made it easy for all of us to get ready at the same time. Has awesome floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows on both sides. The side facing the living room has a distant but clear, direct view of Big Ben, London Eye, and the some of the newer London buildings. Both sides of the penthouse have huge balconies outside these panoramic windows, though it was too cold and windy when we stayed in June to use them. Waterloo station is a few blocks away which is a transportation hub for multiple Underground lines as well as trains. Local area seems like a real middle class London neighborhood--most people we saw looked like residents scurrying to work, etc., not lots of tourists, so seemed like genuine London. Restaurants and grocery markets nearby. Beds were comfortable. WiFi was fast. Boutique London Lets was very responsive to all our e-mail communications. Our only minor quibbles were that, though we booked and paid for 4 people, we were charged an extra $186 us for the week for my son to use a fold out cot, as he didnt want to sleep in the double bed with his sister--that seemed an excessive charge for a cot, though in fairness this extra charge was listed on their website. Also the walk-in closet was filled mostly with storage for the apartment, leaving little room for our clothes. These were very minor issues that did not spoil our great stay.

I found the rental process and receipt of keys very efficient and easy. The apartment was bright and spacious and had all the amenities. We found it to be clean. We were quite close to the Waterloo tube stations which was quite convenient. The only complaint we had was the beds were very uncomfortable...perhaps it is time to update them! Also, it was very cold in the apartment when we got there, but after a day it warmed up just fine.

Though the exterior of the building initially made us anxious, we were not disappointed by the apartment in any way. Spacious, clean and well- equipped with an amazing view from our large balcony. Without a doubt the best London accommodation I've found so far. I'll definitely be visiting again!!

It is a spacious, luxurious and fairly new apartment on the seventh (top) floor (lift). Overlooking Big Ben and London Eye, two bedrooms (with good beds), two bathrooms and a kitchen. Large living room with sofa and dining table and two large terraces. 10 minutes walk to subway and several buses at the door. Clean and safe neighborhood, with small neighborhood grocery store for some groceries and restaurants within walking distance. Everything was perfectly fine. Especially for a few days with a family is much more pleasant than staying in a hotel (much more living space for less money).

Excellent value for money
Despite having seen the pictures of the apartment on the Internet, we were gladly surprised as soon as we opened the door. It was huge, full of daylight and the views from both balconies amazing! Its location was also excellent, with bus stops right on the front door. It was so nice to go back there at the end of the day after non-stop walking round the city. The kitchen was quite well-equipped and the living room had plenty of seating for all of us. Moreover, the beds were really comfortable so we could recharge batteries for the next day!!!

This appartement is very clean, big enough for 4 adults and a child. The view is amazing. It´s a 5 minute wlak to Waterloo station. The kitchen is well equiped. The rooms are big enough, even with an additional bed for the child.

We had a wonderful stay at the Waterloo Penthouse. The location was perfect - central to many tourist sights and nice neighborhood. The place was not as new as it looked in the pictures, but not bad. Overall, would definitely stay again.
