The entrance to Trochas is just six steps up from the pool deck and less than 100 feet from the waters edge. Here you will experience the gentle sound of the Caribbean surf from your private balcony while lingering over morning coffee or tea. Inside, a cool blend and balance of old Caribbean design with upscale modern design sooths the senses. Anti-glare windows and doors are fully screened so you can enjoy the fresh trade breezes whenever you want. Air conditioning throughout Trochus is top-notched and the unit is completely insulated from sound, too, so if total serenity is your goal, look no further.
Light maple cabinetry and thick granite countertops are complimented by Travertine tile and Brazilian hardwood floors. Auto-closing drawers, top-notch appliances with convenience features, and multiple dining options are geared for vacation use. An electric cooktop dand pendant lighting keep the look sleek while the corner sink with sprayer handle and oversized martini shaker are some of the many hidden surprises waiting to be discovered.
Trochas boasts a king bed and a relaxing atmosphere. There is plenty of space in the bedroom to add a full-sized aerobed, which we can provide. Our bathrooms are legendary, and the one in Trochas is no exception. Entry is from both bedroom and hallway. The granite and tile bathroom boasts dual-level rain shower heads, robes for guest use and other spa level guest amenities. Trochas also has a bidet and the luxury of a couples spa tub in addition to the glass entry shower stall.
The unit's home theatre system makes watching the 46' flat-screen satellite tv a fun evening event from your comfortable sofa. Sliding glass doors lead to your private balcony where the scenery puts on its own special show day and evening. If you prefer to play cards or board games - we have those too. Along with al fresco dining on your balcony, and seating at the granite countertop, Trochas also has a separate more formal dining nook with a unique modern flair.
For a special evening treat, float in our Havana Blue pool and watch your favorite movie outdoors via satellite from our tiki hut TV, from the best 'seat' you've every had! There's also a full wet-bar, fridge, covered dining, and a large gas grill for al fresco dining. Want a more intimate way to star-watch at night? Head up to the rooftop privacy lounge and hot-tub area. Just flip the sign to say 'In Use' and have it all to yourselves!
Make a new friend or two while you have a relaxing afternoon home at the shared pool. This is so much nicer than a crowded resort.
Your Trochas unit at Sea Shore Allure is a short distance away from the small but flavorful downtown area in our little town of Cruz Bay. It is a mini- mecca of fine dinning, exquisite shopping and friendly people! Cruz Bay is renown as the gateway to the Virgin Islands National Park where you will enjoy the unforgettable of white sandy beaches for swimming and snorkeling, view scenic vistas cays and bays, and discover historical sites and hiking trails. We just returned from St. John where we spent 5 wonderful nights at Sea Shore Allure. This was our first time to St. John, and I plan to come back as soon as I can! Kristin met us at the ferry dock with a big smile and drove us to SSA - so convenient as we were unfamiliar to the area. The duration of our stay, Kristin gave us great advice about beaches, excursions, restaurants and where to shop...she definitely made our trip better. Our condo was perfect for 2 people, the bed slept well and we had a great view of the pool and the bay. A couple afternoons we chose to just stay by the pool - it was all we needed! Contrary to previous reviews I had read, we had ZERO problem with mosquitos. We were comfortable the entire time. All in all, I could not have asked for a better vacation. My husband and I just returned from a short but memorable 3 night stay at the Sea Shore Allure Condiminums on the island of St. John. We stayed in the 1 bedroom unit called Trochas. What a magnificent unit with all the amenities and gorgeous ocean views. The condo is conveniently located less than a 5 minute drive to all the restaurants and bars within Cruz Bay. During our stay I believe three other units were being rented out but it felt like my husband and I had the entire property to ourselves. With this said, we took advantage of the oceanfront pool and rooftop hot tub. We dealt with Karin when booking our condo and actually had the opportunity to meet her. What a sweet and kind lady! She provided us with lots of insight about the island as well as restaurant recommendations. We look forward to booking another trip to Sea Shore Allure and dealing with Karin. We believe in building legacies that will benefit others as our elsers provided for us. Sea Shore Allure is that special place that represents all that we believe in and want for our island visitors. Why the Owner Chose Turner Bay:
The proximity of Sea Shore Allure's location to the town of Cruz Bay was one of the main factors in our decision to build our condominium property in this spot. You can walk into town through old Cruz Bay, or you may quickly drive there, where there is access to shopping and dining venues. We like the closeness to the VI National Park, the Audobon Society's Wildlife Refuge area, and even our island's public tenis courts. And, then of course, there is the fact that we are right on the water!
